the ascension ending never fails to amaze me. the reveal of the void worms is probably one of my favorite parts of any game ever. i would really recommend coming back someday for hunter/downpour! survivor on its own is already a great experience but there's so much to this game yet to be seen

I hope one day u return to this game, it's one of my favorites due to how gorgeous its environments and symbolism are! If u do play it again I'd love to see u play the game as Hunter (hard mode), or even some of the DLC slugcats! I think the Artificer would be ur favorite, she has all sorts of wacky movement tech!
The first rainworld video is my favourite spigg video and ive been avoiding the vods because ive been waiting for a second main channel video.... the day has finally come
oh yeah, well I got EVERY collectable lore thingy. that's 26 pearls delivered to post collapse Moon as Rivulet, 2 delivered as survivor for them being secret expedition exclusive reasons, 1 delivered as hunter for them being hunter exclusive reasons, 7 pearls delivered to pre-collapse Moon as Spearmaster, 23 delivered to Five Pebbles as artificer, 2 delivered as saint which is 61 pearls total, and 35 Spearmaster broadcasts for a total of 96 dialogue thingies. fun fact for your next playthrough: creatures don't die instantly. they slowly bleed out to death with the speed of it depending on how much damage you did over lethal this means that while a single spear isn't enough to kill a blue lizard (it has exactly 1 hp and you deal exactly 1 damage) following it up with a rock will make it experience a very slow and painful death (do not that rocks to pitifully low damage so it doesn't make that big of a difference unless the numbers are exact)
I think the best way I've ever described Rain World to someone is "That game that you play where the whole time you're playing it, you're just thinking about how bullshit is is and how frustrated you are, and yet you secretly love it and want to play it more"
I really do hope you come back to Rainworld: Downpour in the future. The DLC campaigns are still a bit obtuse, but they're a lot more up-front with their storytelling than the base game is. In the base game, you have to get most of the story by finding rare pearls and taking them to Moon after you can talk. (No spoilers in this comment, don’t worry) I’d love to see your return to Rain World- I think you’ll have a blast with the higher difficulty of combat-oriented characters such as the Hunter or the Artificer. I recently beat Arti’s campaign and it was a blast! Most of the slugcats are behind the Downpour DLC, but let me tell you, the amount of content there makes it worth it many times over. The base game has three slugcats to play as, with Monk and Survivor being basically the same other than minor stat and difficulty changes… downpour adds _6_ new scugs, each with their own unique mechanics! And each one expands upon the story… every scug exists at a separate point in the linear timeline, allowing you to slowly piece together how things went down! Except for one. One of them is not canon. There’s a lot of advanced movement to this game aside from the backflip, I recommend you use the sandbox/arena to practice them, especially if you wanna play as Gourmand- it’s important to their play style. In the very least it’s good to know how to roll!
Absolutely happy we get more Rainworld content from you! :D If it's not too much, I recommend trying out the game's DLC! So many interesting content, and would definitely like to see you trying out the other slugcats there
The ending is you “ascending”, aka dying so hard you can’t come back. The glowy tree thing at the end of the cutscene is splotchy reuniting with their family, which they were separated from in the first cutscene of the game.
If you do come back to rainworld a lot of the downpour characters are much more involved in the story and the plot surrounding the iterators and are very fun and unique to play!
32:13 I am so glad he finally figured out Grapple Worms. On my first playthrough, I took one with me from... I think, Chimney Canopy, all the way through the game... Spoilers ahead. You good? Alright, cool. I took that little guy with me to meet Five Pebbles, we tackled everything together, and I even managed to take them all the way down to the Depths! The only reason they didn't Ascend with me was because the Guardians said "No, its Karma isn't high enough." I like to think the Void Worm that carried me forward was a reincarnation of Grapple, as I nicknamed them. Currently playing through the Gourmand and I have a Grapple Worm that I'll be treating with the same care as the Slugpup I found just before meeting Five Pebbsi.

You good?
Alright, cool. I took that little guy with me to meet Five Pebbles, we tackled everything together, and I even managed to take them all the way down to the Depths! The only reason they didn't Ascend with me was because the Guardians said "No, its Karma isn't high enough."
I like to think the Void Worm that carried me forward was a reincarnation of Grapple, as I nicknamed them. Currently playing through the Gourmand and I have a Grapple Worm that I'll be treating with the same care as the Slugpup I found just before meeting Five Pebbsi.
A moment of silence for the many sploafs that were sacrificed for this content 🙏
I see the dungeon lifestyle has brought us many blessings

Oh you sweet summer child
That would be Sofanthiel or Rubicon
You should definitely play the dlc downpour and/or play hunter slug cat, adds so many new creatures and changes the world in such amazing ways, not to mention the diffrent alug cat gimmicks, 100% recommend
I’d do anything to play Rain World with Spiff. He’s my favorite RUclipsr/Streamer person and Rain World is my favorite game. I was so happy to see him playing Rain World!
