Das is the mossbag of Rain World, and skurry is the skurry of rain world. Rain World and Hollow Knight are rather similar games and it seems as though many who have played one, have also played the other.
I got nearly 1k hours in Hollow Knight and already like a hundred in Rain World, was a bit more of a difficult entry into Rain World but both are great games in the category of small creatures dealing with the decaying ruins of a civilisation long gone
You should make a Rain World PvP tournament. Maybe you could have a drafting system with what arena you play in, what creatures are there, what slugcat you play, that sort of thing. I think it would be really fun

Das is correct on that Batfly question. While working on a region I had a couple of batflys get hunted by Monster kelp. (I even had a pole plant get rustled) Honestly I can understand it, mainly because the only REAL time you get to monster kelp and batflies in the same room (consistently) is in shoreline, and the batflies have to go out of their way to get to the monster kelp and with Jetfish, Laviathans, you, and the lizards/eels, the kelp has other priorities. The same goes for subterranean the rooms with kelp are incredibly out of the way from batflies you rarely see that behavior. Sure you can get unlucky or kill pole plants to make kelp spawn, but also seeing batflies in the areas and seeing that behavior in the starting Outskirts or similar regions is very rare.
This can also naturally occur in Subterranean! If the room where you get the overgrown centipede unlock, go left and there's a room with monster kelp, batflies also spawn there. I regularly see batflies get preyed upon by monster kelp when I'm in Subterranean.

Controversal opionion of mine: Despite how hard it is, Rubicon is a great reagon if you know where you are going. Its the one reagon which took my breath away with visuals and music. Plus firebugs are cool and I really enjoyed blowing myself up right before I got the ending. The rehashes also actually got some nostalga out of out of me, I very rarely got fursterated and actually enjoyed silent construct less. Its not everyones favorite, but its my favorite.
I hear it mostly suffers due to saints akward control scheme for the ascended form and its reliance rather than the area itself. I remapped my controller so I could activate it easily and it made the area much more enjoyable than people made it out to be.

48:55 I'm going to be honest, the only reason I knew about this room with the grapple worms in Chimney Canopy is because recently I got my sister to try Rain World co-op with me. We were struggling our way through Chimney Canopy (we made our way up to the mentioned Garbage Worm + Scav Treasury room from a secret Gutter tunnel a room or two over), and we wasted countless cycles trying to collect grapple worms from that one room just so we could make our platforming easier. Our suffering of falling past the platform, getting snatched by vultures, and not making it to shelter in time has forever burned that room into my memory.

there is a third way to pass the karma gate without carma for example: you saved in the shoreline, pass through the gate to the shaded, then you interact with the echo in the shaded, and you get back to the shoreline

Monk style gates setting is the monk gate interaction, they wouldn't be separate. We also didn't factor in remix settings into our questions/answers unless explicitly stated as they are significantly detached from the base game.
After quite a bit of deliberation we separated lilypucks from other spears due to them lacking mechanics that all other spears have. Namely pinning creatures, sticking to walls, being inedible, being reusable (even explosive ones are reusable if you grab them quick enough) and scaling off the spear damage stat. Lilypucks have so many unique aspects to them that classifying them as a spear instead of just an object that can function as a weapon felt false. Lilypucks always deal 0.7 damage (same as a monk spear throw), have a weaker/slower throw arc, can be thrown by saint during their campaign, are only single use as a weapon and can be eaten. As another fun fact 0.7 damage is enough to injure a pole plant enough that it doesn't retreat, but also is too weak to grab and pull creatures into its den. This means that you can go up and give the pole plant a nice friendly hug and be completely safe after hitting it with a lilypuck or as a spear once as monk.
Whenever I die in rainworld I try to look at what I did wrong or didn't know.. but this shows me although I may know everything I'll never be able to accurately counter the threat with learned knowledge. Especially with every encounter being so panic-inducing 😂
My theory on why Saint understands echoes is because he is in an infinite loop as we see at the end of his campaign plus he also is like about to turn into an Echo so it just makes sense
I already definitely knew grapple worms spawn in chimney canopy because in my play through as survivor, I got a grapple worm, I carried him through sky Islands and now me and wormy are in Farm Arrays (I'm a fairly new player because I have not completed the base game because I am trying to get most of the sandbox unlocks in Survivor and Monk)
Some observations I made while watching -I thought lilipucks would count as spears since they can be thrown to do 0.85 damage to creatures -Today I encountered a karma gate that was just broken as spearmaster, like, it was open and the karma symbols were flashing red, it was the vents/memory conflux karma kate, I thought this was gonna be an option in the karma gate question, like, “randomly broken karma gates” but after some fruitless research i conclude that this was just a bug Cool video btw!!
I just realized that for the first 5-7 minutes, I had the playback speed set to .75, and I didn’t notice until the music in the background was very obviously slowed. I thought that everyone else was having a slow day. Whoops.

We were struggling our way through Chimney Canopy (we made our way up to the mentioned Garbage Worm + Scav Treasury room from a secret Gutter tunnel a room or two over), and we wasted countless cycles trying to collect grapple worms from that one room just so we could make our platforming easier. Our suffering of falling past the platform, getting snatched by vultures, and not making it to shelter in time has forever burned that room into my memory.

void fluid is actually highly corrosive acid so corrosive that it
melts you right out of existance
and well you swim down into it during ascension so you do die from it.
Some rooms in Rubicon have void fluid that just acts like acid
@@Warlock_Le_Moron The Ancients used Void Fluid as a fuel so I think the reasoning is that the hazardous Void Fluid is leftover "refined VF" vs. the Void Sea which is still Void Fluid, but it has other things in it that lower its spontaneous death bringing ability.
@@erinfinn2273 I think it's actually the other way around. Pure Void Fluid, either harvested directly from the Void Sea or created by refining impure Void Fluid, is what allows for a person to ascend, whereas impure Void Fluid just kills you.

there is a third way to pass the karma gate without carma
for example: you saved in the shoreline, pass through the gate to the shaded, then you interact with the echo in the shaded, and you get back to the shoreline
That doesn't count as "passing" the karma gate

Monk style gates setting is the monk gate interaction, they wouldn't be separate. We also didn't factor in remix settings into our questions/answers unless explicitly stated as they are significantly detached from the base game.

I find they are called Lilypucks, and according to the wiki they can be thrown like spears.
After quite a bit of deliberation we separated lilypucks from other spears due to them lacking mechanics that all other spears have. Namely pinning creatures, sticking to walls, being inedible, being reusable (even explosive ones are reusable if you grab them quick enough) and scaling off the spear damage stat. Lilypucks have so many unique aspects to them that classifying them as a spear instead of just an object that can function as a weapon felt false. Lilypucks always deal 0.7 damage (same as a monk spear throw), have a weaker/slower throw arc, can be thrown by saint during their campaign, are only single use as a weapon and can be eaten.
As another fun fact 0.7 damage is enough to injure a pole plant enough that it doesn't retreat, but also is too weak to grab and pull creatures into its den. This means that you can go up and give the pole plant a nice friendly hug and be completely safe after hitting it with a lilypuck or as a spear once as monk.
Whenever I die in rainworld I try to look at what I did wrong or didn't know.. but this shows me although I may know everything I'll never be able to accurately counter the threat with learned knowledge. Especially with every encounter being so panic-inducing 😂

My theory on why Saint understands echoes is because he is in an infinite loop as we see at the end of his campaign plus he also is like about to turn into an Echo so it just makes sense
I already definitely knew grapple worms spawn in chimney canopy because in my play through as survivor, I got a grapple worm, I carried him through sky Islands and now me and wormy are in Farm Arrays (I'm a fairly new player because I have not completed the base game because I am trying to get most of the sandbox unlocks in Survivor and Monk)

Some observations I made while watching
-I thought lilipucks would count as spears since they can be thrown to do 0.85 damage to creatures
-Today I encountered a karma gate that was just broken as spearmaster, like, it was open and the karma symbols were flashing red, it was the vents/memory conflux karma kate, I thought this was gonna be an option in the karma gate question, like, “randomly broken karma gates” but after some fruitless research i conclude that this was just a bug
