Camped at 80 mile beach in 1980 and there was nothing there, only one other van." You are my mountain goat" and you lived to tell the tale, enjoy your travels.
Hi Guys. I am a very young 56 lol, and I just bought my own camper, it's very similar to yours. You and your family have inspired me to get out there and travel. I love the videos and the beautiful parts of the country you travel too. I can't believe how good Chloe is during the trip but I am sure she has her moments. Keep the videos and the travels coming. I am enjoying every video you make. Thank You
Thanks for another great video. The area looks amazing as do the camping sites. Hand signage certainly beats dialogue in some situations . The 3rd passenger at times takes the limelight from time to time. Again thoroughly entertaining- safe travels.
Loving the vid’s. Enjoying WA vicariously. Thanks team. Keep it up. Thanks to Jason for mentioning the random beer drinking shots. 🤣 The drone shots are great and improving every episode 👍🏻
Great vid guys, WA is such an amazing place to explore. Cam as long as you have a line in the water you are one step closer to catching a fish mate, think of it as a balanced time of your life... fishing rod in one hand and an ice cold beer in the other!
Sunday night always catch up on your latest episode and loving it. Jason’s comment and your response was priceless 😂 Chloe’s commentary along the way gets us giggling! Keep the clips coming! We also enjoying the cooking ideas along with seeing you eat what you catch. Have a great week and catch you next week!
You guys are an absolute inspiration, we love watching you adventure and can’t wait to do it our selves. Keep it up. Looking forward to ep 7. Would love to meet up with you guys when you hit the east coast and pick your brain about your travels. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Another great vid mate luv the content my van coming before xmas i hope .can't wait to enjoy it like yous are . Dad and Mun loved 80 mile beach went they did the big lap .i hope to get there myself one day 👍
Mate you inspire me to take my kids on the big lap before they get to old, I've got two girls 13 and 8, and I think it's time to explore this amazing country
Amazing beach 80 miles, we tried fishing the sharks kept knocking off my catches, anyways and amazing sea shells, love WA, next year well ge back, fingers crossed..I think you parked in my spot...too
OMG .... So Beautiful, you guys are amazing parents. Wish i had parents that took me on beautiful trips, The water looks so blue and clear. Cheers Jason .... I also love the standing looking out with drink in hand Priceless! So do you normally carry enough fuel with you or is there gas stations on your travels ? I love that the wife thinks your #1 LOL .... I love that canopy on the truck. You should just fix the cracks in the aluminum cap, That thing is Awesome ! Thanks for the journey.
Plenty of fuel stops, even in remote places! We have a long range fuel tank so 600km of range, also have a spare Jerry van but haven’t needed to use it thus far
Plenty of fuel stops, even in remote places! We have a long range fuel tank so 600km of range, also have a spare Jerry van but haven’t needed to use it thus far
Loving your holiday! Still on lockdown here in Victoria but at least it's a nice day. Our van is now ready for when they release us!! Doesn't look like our fellow interstaters want us yet though☹. See you again next week.👍👍
My own breadcrumb mix: equal parts plain flour and dried breadcrumbs (approx half cup of each) Add dried mixed herbs and all purpose seasoning (approx tblsp each). Coat fish or chicken and shallow fry. Won’t be as crispy as panko, but more flavour, and cheaper that the packet crumbs (where I got the inspiration for my recipe)
@MrBuckaroonie your slowly becoming one of the RUclips/Facebook dickheads unfortunatly buck you backflip more that an Olympic gymnast....Do us a favour and leave this awesome channel alone and just do your drifta infomercials...
Awesome video cam, really enjoying watching your journey. But if I can suggest one thing... I’d avoid having the styrene stove bezels on while cooking. I know they’re to stop moving while travelling, but if they we’re to start burning, the fumes are toxic. Cheers
Great vid guy's,how is the van holding up and would a 23.6 semi off rd get to all the sites you have been at,can't wait out of Vic and explore the west.👍
Vans holding up great. Probably get a 23ft in majority of the places we are going. Only exception I can think of is the bungle bungles, they don't allow dual axles in, but you can stay at the caravan park and day trip in! There's always options!
@@WildTouring Are you finding some of the leds a bit bright when sleeping? I have the same van, though I have only done a test camp so far. First thing I did was pull the earth wire to the led light on the awning switch - that one was crazy bright. It is the piggy back earth earth wire- top right looking at the plug from behind. I also put blue tac over a couple other LEDs to cut light.
Try the Tandaco Southern Fried Chicken coating mix on chicken, meat or whatever. Bit of chilli powder mixed in and it is excellent imo. We have it regularly. Of course the setting isn't quite as nice but anyway.
@@WildTouring I quite often have it on lamb loin chops which is one of my favourite things to eat. I am going shopping later today and I think that I have just inspired myself. Lol
Found your "Wild Touring" RUclips while researching MDC XT12/Forbes 13 and I am following your travels with great interest as a prospective buyer of one. A question re your set up... the shade cloth attached to the awning - How is it attached? I'll have more questions later I'm sure. So far though the MDC stuff looks great.
Great video once again guys, LOVE the 80 Mile Beach segment. How long and how rough was the road getting in to the caravan park? Tried looking it up but didn't find a definate answer. Thanks again - Peter v.
@@WildTouring Thanks for taking the time to answer my question, much appreciated. I've inherited my parents caravan and in the process of doing some touch-ups. It's a very roadworthy caravan still but it's still 40 years old. Gotta take care of the old girl by keeping it off rough roads. - Peter V.
Hey mate, i love your vids. Beautiful campsites. Thanks for sharing this, i hope to do this soon. Btw, what is the awning you have in your ute? That is a 270° right? Where can i nuy those? Thanks
Wow the scenery is awesome. Hope we get over to the other side of Oz one day. Just wondering if you have some other shoes for hiking? I don't think I could wear thongs on the rocks lol. Keep up the great videos.
There's lots of rules and regs controlling the use of drones now unfortunately. But this one came down to the actual owners/managers of the camp not allowing it.
Dmax is going great. Tows really nicely (tuning and trans cooler have helped a lot). Canopy is falling apart, but I kind of expected that 😂 Getting 17.5L/100kms on average, combined on and off-road. Which is really good as I'm not babying it, always on 100ks and I'm 6 tonne combined. With the long range tank, longest I'll allow between top ups is 600kms, theoretical range is around 700/750kms based on size of tank and average economy, but I'm not letting it get that low.
Great video. Loved the one finger salute from Tiff lol
When she gives you the bird at 9.05 lol ! 😀

Hi Cam, love following your trip.. Just an observation mate, thongs on the rocks. Accident waiting to happen. looking forward to E07
I can vouch for that. Slipped and broke 3 bones in my foot from walking on rocks in thongs. Cuts a holiday short pretty quickly

Edited to add, was that Phill Inn? The singing show?
Try the tandaco chicken schnitzel and lightly seasoned fish mix together 👍 in a freezer bag to coat the fish 👍
Great vid guys . Can’t wait to get to 80 mile next year on our way to do the Gibb . Travel safe 👍
Great vid guys
Cool video again guys. I would love to be doing a trip like this. I have the Ute, just need to get a wife, kids and caravan.
Great job again look forward to every new ep. Good to see someone that loves the Emu Exmouth shirt as much as me :-).
Great video!! Try mixing the fish seasoning and southern fried chicken one together makes more flavour! 👍👌
When i see your vids, i get the same feeling when i see food arriving my way 🤣🤣
The lights you could see was Wickham & Cape Lambert

Another great episode guys, whats the bunsen burner thing you used to start the fire pit?
Butane torch from Bunnings, maybe is the welding or plumbing section as they're generally used for brazing.
Great video once again guys, LOVE the 80 Mile Beach segment. How long and how rough was the road getting in to the caravan park? Tried looking it up but didn't find a definate answer. Thanks again - Peter v.
Roughly 10km off the highway, not too rough just a red gravel road.

Good to see the footage of 80mile so I know what to expect. Maybe I need a car awning. 🤔 How often do you find you're using it?
Very little on this trip actually! But gets used heaps back home (picnics, fishing off the beach, overnighters in the swag)
Thanks guys 😉
What brand is your wrap around awning? It’s a bloody ripper!
The brand is '30 second awning', it's great!
Hey Cam Wat pots u use they look sturdy ?
They are a set from Aldi that all stack together and use one removable handle. Theyre pretty good, I use them on the fire too occasionally.
Shit I love these videos.

What's your van been like in the wind?
Great, barely any movement or noise. A huge improvement from the canvas of the forward fold!
the lights was Port Samson not Hedland
Ahhh yeah that would make more sense 😂
Hows the Dmax going towing? Honestly? Plus fuel consumption? I guess theres a servo every 300kms nowadays.
Dmax is going great. Tows really nicely (tuning and trans cooler have helped a lot). Canopy is falling apart, but I kind of expected that 😂

I noticed you have a tv mounted on a swivel mount, is it safe with the rough terrain you on?
The TV clips in our pretty easily, so we take it off and lay in on the bed before we travel (same deal with the swivel table)
