- This episodes a big one!
First up we are in one of our favourite towns, Broome!
We do all the touristy stuff like ride camels on Cable Beach, get a drink at Matsos, play with baby crocs at the Malcolm Douglas Croc Park and check out the markets.
Then the real adventure begins as we make our way through some pretty dodgy tracks into Cape Leveque. We set up at Pender Bay, which is hands down our favourite camp so far, it blew us away! Cam gets onto some good fish off the beach and we explore caves, rock pools and more!
Next weeks episode we are on the Gibb River Road!!!! Hiking into gorges, spotting crocs, swimming under waterfalls and soaking up everything the Kimberley has to offer us. If you haven't already, subscribe so you don't miss a thing.
Cheers guys,
Cam, Tiff and Chloe

Hi. Canadian Here . Thank you for allowing me to discover your country along your travel
Took a trip from Broome to Cape Leveque in June 2022. Road all sealed now.But almost the the whole top end was closed off. Also the much fames Resort up there went "bust". Total waste of time. Nice Video!
Bugger! Could you get into Pender Bay camp? That was our highlight!
We loved the upbeat tunes in this vid 🙂
Cam and Tiff, this has become such an amazing series, you should both be so pleased with yourselves!!!!! The vids are so good I smash the thumbs up before I even start the vid... and as soon as each one finishes, I start looking forward to the next one

just magic location. I loved it.. just added it to the list. thanks for sharing with us all.. but I have to say, as someone of Italian heritage, I nearly died when you put BBQ sauce on a pasta bake.. ;)
😂
Yep thought so too... have to work on that... can food all that artificial souce stuff, fried everything and so one... give them some credit and time they just left home few weeks ago. Hopefully they runout of stock soon... just kidding... and slowly start prepping meals with natural ingredients. It’s a head think and a few recipes to start with. Interested to give them a hand ?. If they are interested, let’s do. Cheers

Good luck, we are from the Arab Gulf, following you and admiring your trips. They are enjoyable and we live in their airspace. May the Lord protect you and your dear family. Greetings.👍
Great vid guys, beautiful catch. Lovely views, seafood looks yum. Take care👍
We are thoroughly enjoying your trip. The country looks amazing as is the drone photography. Hope the “famous last words” fade away to allow a trouble free trip. Safe travels.
Great stuff again mate. You are inspiring us more and more. Bought a 2015 BT50 yesterday and they are installing a canopy like yours. I am going to duplicate most of your build. Keep well and safe travels.
Hey folks, I'm a Perth boy too and I can honestly say I love my state. Beautiful scenery and being so well presented by you 3 (Chloe included) just makes my feet all the more itchy. Thanks so much for your videos - Peter V
You guys are smashing it. What a wonderful video, I loved it. Well Done.
Another good video Cam. Enjoyed 😎🇳🇿👍
Another great film. Thankyou
Watching your video brings back memory’s, worked on Koolan Island and Port Hedland in 1973 -74. Spent some time in Derby. Bought
an old Holden car in Darwin and drove 20 thousand miles around Australia. Had a great time in an amazing country.
You guys a so natural in the way you go about your daily routines and the fun you have, its a credit to you 3 and keep it up, one of your better episodes, loved it. All good of course but this one had great little snippets along the way with a diverse range of things. Well Done once again.

Loving it, looking forward to the Gibb.
Another great video guys great work.
Double Bubble and watching this... Cheers
another great video guys. I think I would be hesitant to swim, knowing there was crocs out there😑
Looks epic guys 😁 keep up the awesome vids 👌🍺
Just recently started following your channel when you picked up the camper, brilliant down to earth love the filming will continue to follow as long as your journey goes on Stay safe
Nice piece, we spent 10 weeks in WA last year and the Cape was a highlight.
09:40 yes it's wireless, but more correctly it's Bluetooth.
17:45 I placed the CelFi on the roof rack from the get go; it also pays to have a Vodaphone phone as it goes 'bing' in the most remote places. That said, the placement of the internal antenna is critical - I moved mine around a few times, before finding the sweet spot.
18:10 never fish on a Neap tide, waste of time. Full moon in mid Winter will find big, hungry, full muscled female fish wanting to spawn.
19:00 fish with a braided leader, so you don't ruin your line when you pull in; if you have to wind line around your hand, you're doing it wrong - lead the fish with the tip of the rod, not your wrist.
20:10 don't swim on the West side of the Cape; the East side is OK.
21:40 always a good idea to get dinner done and dusted before sunset.
21:52 that faux juice will rot her teeth, over time.
23:15 yep, all those spices are really good for a toddler's tummy, eh?
Just sayin', from experience :)
ah haha I saw your car up in Broome a few weeks ago. the Australia sticker on the side really grabbed my attention. I had a close look..then I see ya vid. good job
great editing, best vid, loving the story
Another fantastic episode guys :) Your experience of looking for an available Mechanic and taking decent tools, spares and gauges/instrumentation is eye opening to say the least!!!! Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
Bloody loving your adventures
I am enjoying every part of your trip, being in lockdown here in Victoria is hard but at the end of the week i get to see your next video. Keep them coming and enjoy your amazing trip.
Looks like you're having an awesome time. The camp on the Cape was fantastic, well worth the 40 bucks a night. Still in lockdown here but at least the weather has picked up. See you again next week!
I clicked the like button after only 30 seconds lol ! CHEERS GUYS !
Great Fishing Mate, very jealous
Loving it mate keep it up well done 👍
Great trip folks,I’ve seen using tyre pressure monitors for year they pay for them self it’s worth going for a set on the van you have no idea what’s going on back there we’ve seen people destroy rims and suspension ,if you cant get a set we’re you are move the back set to the van and the front set to the back at least you can feel a leak or flat on the front tyres easier coz it will pull the car to the side as it go’s down enjoy the ride cheers
I love how you mention that the ocean water is clear so you can see sharks and crocs approaching, seems so exotic from over here (Vancouver Island, BC, Canada). While don't have to worry about sharks and crocs, we do have bears and cougars when camping, with enough encounters to remind all that you have to be wildlife aware. I am really enjoying the ride along, you have a nice country with lots to see.
Would love to get over to Canada!! Definitely on the bucket list!
@@WildTouring you would be in for a treat, mountain ranges, wild rivers with lots of salmon, lots of greenery, likely be a sharp contrast.....
Thanks, I have just come back from Broome and other spots up there and thought to mention seeing a couple of single axle vans with the outer wheel bearing gone and the wheel laying well over as they went past the opposite way with following one where the wheel and hub came off and went the other way. I tow a single axle and make a point to lift each side up and give the wheel a turn for noises and looseness. You might already do that so just a suggestion :)
Well done
Excellent vid! If you find you can't fly the drone attach a GoPro to your beach rod for a similar effect, for the camp layout etc. you could also jump on you van and pan around.
G'day Mate, Another Spot-On show & the places look amazing but the price for some of the O/N stop's is a bit rich & I recon we will be doing
as much free camping as possible when we get up there.
The Clicking noise you can hear when you reverse could also be a universal joint, speaking from a personal experiance.
Just thought I would mention it, you never know. 🤷♀️🤷♂️ 😎
Living the dream alright. So you got the washing machine going ok? That last free camp looked great. All the best guys!
We did, and then it broke again 😕 ...it’s now in a skip bin 🤭🤭
Loved it thanks for the memories we did Gibb last year very dry though
I cant believe it ! I thought that was you guys at the RAC caravan park but didnt see the car so didnt think anything of it. Unlucky, will eventually get to meet you.
Great fishing session mate - glad to see you cleaned yourself up, I was beginning to think you were looking a bit shabby to be on tv!!
Hey guys, greetings from overseas lock down.
You are lucky being able to travel. Looking at your map, are you rushing???? Hope your CV didn’t came off in the wrong place ! There is a German saying: was Du heute kannst besorgen verschiebe nicht auf Morgen! Free translation better fix today and don’t wait until it breaks. Also called “preventive maintenance” we will see your next episode.... your little one so cute... safe travel and wonderful time as close as it gets as family. Cheers
Could also put other parts under strain or cause damage when it goes
Cape Leveque is why you want to do more in WA guys, absolutely beautiful. Jealous 😂.
U guys made me and the mrs want a caravan been watching since u bought ur new caravan..
we just bought one to do abit of travelling 😂
Life’s good ain’t it ! 👍🍻🍻
Kewpie is good on everything!
loved it! I only have a week in broome for our trip. trrying to decide whether to give cape levique a crack or not. i think i might just chill in a park by the pool!
You could easily check out some of the southern sites on a day trip from Broome 😊
Been Watching your trip looks great as I am also looking at getting an MDC Forbes 13.
Queenfish put up a nice fight
Nice spot, with good fishing 😁
Could you monitor van tyres with that setup?
never had a car tyre blow but a couple of van tyres I was to late to catch
and ruined them not to mention trying to change them on the side of the road
Love your family. This is something we should have done when we only have 1 girl 🤣. Now we have 3, a 3yo n 1yo and decided to travelling next year lol. Hopefully we cross path one day so Chloe and my 3yo can play together.
Woohoo! All the best for your 2021 travels!!
@@WildTouring thank you
Another great vid guys! @MDC Forbes Owners on FB
I would be fixing that shaft in a caravan park, one it's more convenient, plus there will be a mechanic staying there that can give you pointers. Breaking down in the middle of nowhere isn't fun.
Hey champ another great video👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Also how did you mount you BG knife to your drawer? Cheers
Couple of metal screws through the sheath.
Love the vids im now inspired. Bought a drone and other camera gear doing some touring up the east coast going to have a go at a vid myself😊
Think will upgrade forward fold soon too
Great video guys, have you been using ya travel buddy much on the trip?
Yeah mate quite a bit!
Can’t wait to see how you go on the Gibb awesome camping spot with the place to yourselves
Did you book the Broome sites or just rock up?
Booked Broome caravan park, and then booked pender bay the night before we headed up. We’ve been fine just rocking up and getting a spot but school holidays are coming up so I’m sure that will change!
awesome
Not sure if you covered it in a previous episode, but what brand of compressor do you run, and are you happy with it? Some specs would be helpful. Love your trip...
XTM, only $99 but it’s probably one of the best air compressors I’ve owned!
Cheers Cam I'll check it out..
Loving the sreies mate. Where did you get your map from and is it the same one on the side of the car? Also where did you get the map on the side of the car?
Thanks mate. The one on the car was an eBay find www.ebay.com.au/itm/332492895308. The other map was given to me so not too sure, think it was from a newsagent.
Hi Guys, great stuff. Planning on doing Cape Leveque & Gibb next year, if we can get out of Vic. What was the phone system you mentioned locked on onto 4G? Thanks.
Hi Rod, it’s called a Celfi-go
Great video, what an epic spot at the cliff top camp. But holy moly 20 bucks a night is a bit steep lol.
Was it an oversight to not be carrying a spare cv genuine or otherwise on board for the trip? Ive invested in the haynes dmax manual, its a good reference when tackling mechanical repairs.
Whatever spares you're carrying, will never be needed !!, . . . . "Murphy's Law".
@@gerdacoonan7250 absolutley agree with that. But some vehicles, the dmax especially are known for weaker cvs and tie rods than other ifs vehicles. But you are right cant plan for everything i guess.
At 12.10 you mention you cant have Drones ? Why is that please and Great video loved watching it.
Private property so their rules apply. Not really sure why they don’t allow them..
Great videos, very easy to watch, unlike some others. BTW are you getting any sponsorship for the "Bush Chooks". They get more coverage than you guys.
Haha I wish!!!
How are the Oztent Gecko chairs? Comfy? Side tables sturdy enough to eat a meal off?
Yes we love them!!
Love yr channel, looks like yr having a great time. Do you have any fuel figures?
Averaging 17.5L/100.
Wild Touring that’s great when towing
Thought the Cape road would’ve been finished by now, we did it a couple of years ago. We went into Middle Lagoon, that road it certainly bit a bugger of a road, but exciting.. pended Bay next trip...
We’ve heard great things about middle lagoon, unfortunately it was still closed due to Covid 🙁
We’ve heard great things about middle lagoon, unfortunately it was still closed due to Covid 🙁
@@WildTouring So I assume One Arm Point was closed too, oh well, least you've got plenty to do over there, we are stuck in NSW, just bought a new caravan, its stuck in Melbourne hopefully we will get in a month or so I hope...thanks for sharing we are thinking about our next trip to WA, and going via Meekatharra my son-in-law works at a mine there, FIFO and our daughter lives in Perth, hope we can get to see her, hopefully not in 2 years keep safe and travel safe.
Sandra Watkins yes one arm point was also closed. fingers crossed you can get over here soon! These damn borders are making it difficult for us too 🙁
Hey Cam, how many tires does teh guage monitor? Does it do the Van and the car?
Just 4 so I only monitor the car.
Who was that guy in front of the mirror shaving himself? You brought along ya younger brother?😄
😂
