MCPEDL's been a thing for years lol, I remember the lucky gold blocks mod from there
Yea it’s been there since mcpe was in it’s baby stages
I don't think he is claiming that it is new.
Yh years, but you can't do it on Xbox he never mentioned this
no one knows about it max 50k ppl on the site
The sad thing is that Microsoft is trying there hardest to get rid of custom Addons on Xbox and it’s getting harder and harder to get them every Minecraft update due to Microsoft’s greed
companies trying not to delete or hide some niche stuff that the consumers like (it was as if they didnt care for the people)
This is why PC is superior
Watch smitty058 for community vs Microsoft lore and the fall of mcaddons manager
@thespacedemon731 Microsoft literally just reinstated and fixed installing custom addons on Xbox like a week and a half ago. Every time they try killing addons on Xbox their player numbers probably drop to single digits cause vanilla Bedrock on Xbox sucks ass.

No
This is legal
Mojang: "Dynamic Lighting is too hard and will slow down your game."
OptiFine: "I added Dynamic Lighting _while speeding up your game._ I'll take my beer back now."
Optifine kinda sucks, sodium is much better
Yeah optifine is awful
Optifine _was_ good, it's just outdated and outclassed by sodium/iris
The main benefit of Marketplace Add-ons is that they are curated and guaranteed to work with each other. Add-ons from other sources aren't guaranteed to be compatible with other add-ons. And if an update to the game breaks an add-on, Mojang isn't going to communicate that to the developer.
The player is ultimately responsible for testing and troubleshooting their setup, and searching to check if an update has been released via one of the download sites.
This might be a technical level beyond some players. It's not as simple as using Curseforge, which automatically notifies the player of available updates and changes.
I had such an issue occur today. The Multiplayer Wayfinder add-on was out of date when I installed Backpack Plus. So it took me a bit to realize that was why my Wayfinder add-on stopped working and resolved the issue.
Some players just can't be bothered fussing with a lot of technical issues and would prefer a more automated system of add-on updates being applied.
For this reason, I really hope that Minecraft Bedrock has a more integrated solution for installing and managing add-ons and entices more developers to offer their add-ons via the Minecraft Marketplace.
Apparantly a mod launcher for bedrock in in the works, which would make the whole process a lot more easier and allow version switching like in Java
The reason for this is bc the Marketplace creators have features that the regular player base does not have access to. And Marketplace creators cannot use experimental features, which r features they work on for addons but change a lot. They recently made a huge change like this to addons too so that is also another thing y player created addons commonly break
Curseforge is a platform, how does it auto notify of updates? Prism launcher already has a good system.
I feel like if Mojang just made ocean ruins rarely spawn on the surface with slightly different loot that would be really cool
I’ve spend many a minutes exploring mcpedl, and I’ve found some cool tree updates, even better end updates, and cheese.
What things has anyone found?
Fused's Falling Leaves is a good one
@@Zephyr-lg5ne Beyond The Underground is a addon. Its adds more cave variants and mobs.
@@velonicity I saw that one once
I found wool soldiers!! it’s like the clay soldiers mod if you know it
12:21 got so distracted by the infinity gauntlet lol
It can shot wither skulls
The dynamic lighting mod may seem laggy but I don’t think any one would complain honestly
Call it flickery! it is a flaming torch. I think it suits it.
Some features addons would try to add may not work as well as how java mods manage to add new features.
Simply because addons are limited to what the game's mechanics and code.
While vanilla minecraft does not have the coding for dynamic lights. The addons can try other methods to emulate the effect.
My guess in this case is that the addon is using a script for an invisible armor stand with a light property attached to it. When the player holds a certain item, the script works with the lit up armor stand following the player around with every block they step on.
I've always found it funny how people were "mind-blown" by the marketplace addons as "finally bringing mods to other devices" as if they were lacking before. Especially as a phone player that has been playing with my over 30 addons, packs and even shaders for years.
The only issue that has always bothered me is that the more elaborate addons you find online always use experimenls, which is annoying cause that stuff can literally break your worlds quite quickly (especially when Mojang doesn't do anything about a lingering bug on custom biome experimental that broke all my super cool biome mods and made them unusable :) ). Especially with furniture, that's very frustrating and I'll always be thankful for the marketplace addons working without experimental, that's the best thing that came from it.
Not all addons may need experimental settings enabled.
However, this would depend on what the addon is about.
Take note of how these addons on the marketplace are either simpler compared to more ellabkrate addons found elsewhere. Some addons on the marketplace have preferential treatment to help ensure they perform well, while an addon that may do the same things may struggle and/or require experimental settings to work.
One addon maker gets paid to make addons on the marketplace for mojang to make more money.
The other likely will not be paid for their work. They may not be as inclined to ensure their addons have good quality, even after a few updates that may break them.
What do you mean, the experiments work fine with no problems.
Majority of people like convenience and will always choose the path to least resistance. Others just like 'official' and trust that label more, so maybe they meant that for official add-ons instead of 3rd party apps or websites.
Something fun about minecraft add-ons that I like is how fun they can be made. I have two add-ons that I am working on one with pvz and another with a castle that has random hallways.
I like the idea of addons on the market place but there simply isn’t enough content currently available to really make it feel like it’s worth it
right.
It would be nice if addon makers could post their addons on there and have some compensation for their work. The makers would also be responsible for the quality and performance of their work.
But then again, Mojang sadly seems more inclined to pay their own staff to make addons just to have something on the marketplace.
Something that once again will divide the community that made the game as massive, and profitable, as it is.
they should really just let you download addons on xbox, but its becoming harder, and these addons toycat showed, like the end one, xbox players struggle to get.
I don't, mods for Minecraft should be free and open source so any person can make and contribute to the project, so the community always thrives and never becomes reliant on one guy's mod.
@cbtillery135 Anyone willing to learn and spend time to make mods/addons should be able to share them with others.
Those who want to do so and get paid are also valid. Because it is something they spent time making and their idea being realised.
People who dont want to pay for an addon/mod dont have to. They may need to either get a different mod or make their own one then.

Better On Bedorck was a great choice to show, recommended a video on it for a bit now
3:08 holy crap it’s herobrine
That structures add-on has really tall multi-floor towers with feather falling potions in the chest on the roof, big domes full of witches, giant warrior statues and creeper spawning ruined buildings which you apparently didn't wander far out enough to see 😅
update block appear sometimes when you dont fully enable experimental features, or something wrong with the behavior pack not tied with the resource pack
It would be super cool if you made a video explaining how you downloaded all those unofficial addons into Minecraft Bedrock.
when you download them, just double click the .mcpack file.
@Enderbrine0422 is this possible on playstation?
@@limbo3299 I don't know much about consoles, but you ned to be able to go to a website and download files. I know that on xbox you can't, but I don't know about playstation.
YES! Please do more videos on add-ons
Toycat should do a PSA on being careful while dowloading from certain websites. Because some sites and even some addons can have viruses in them, sadly.
Also, seeing about Discord servers ir communitylies that help addon makes share their work as well as help people see addons in a safer place.
I got the multipixel 32 by 32 textures from mcpedl. It is the best higher resolution pack that keeps things vanilla like in my opinion.
my favorite addon is Nico's forsaken Odyssey, ngl it slaps
Ah More Structures, liked this mod for bringing similar structure gen mods from Java to here. Just wish the structures were more interesting than they are (though there are some cool ones from what I remember)
Maybe the value these structures have is that the player has to give it a purpose.
I already want to do this sort of thing in vanilla.
I just dont get around to it lol
Thank you so much for doing this!!
The one thing that makes me the most happy about paid addons is we actually get access to ports of mods that people other than the original creators are not allowed to replicate as well as getting access to fully updated versions ones like decocraft that have been outdated for awhile on pc
No body seems to notice but I think you forgot to turn on experiments that's why you face the minor inconveniences
Nice Toycat, but how do you put them on the xbox?
i play on both, i didn't even know people actually thought you could only get addons from the marketplace
Better on Bedrock has been a fun experience. I've been playing it for a little while now and it feels like an old school java mod in that a lot of new items have small bugs to go along with them. Also the difficulty is very high because of the number of random bosses you can encounter before you are ready for them.
Hey toycat you should out DLCraft heavily inspired by rlcraft its a huge mod pack for bedrock
The ruins from the more structures addon look like theyre supposed to be from tears of the kingdom
Great video, but just a word of precaution, put the mcpedl or curseforge links to the downloads for these so the creators can get credit and downloads from them. They do have copyright over their work and while featuring it is great, it is better to send the links in the video description.
i got an ad for the minecraft marketplace on this
Been watching for a while but I just realized toy cat is like grown up stampy
Dynamic lighting would be good of it reflected the power of the light source but it works fine! I thought this was game killingly impossable!
Same with the Backpack, thats absolutely fine. It totally works! I could use a shulker, i guess, but this sems more practical even as it is. Wish i had that everytime I went mining or caving for blocks.
My world is littered with chests full of stuff ive not had space to bring back.
You should review forsaken odyssey. It's one of the best bedrock modpacks I've played
Man when are we gonna get new add ons for consoles
we have them in the marketplace now but none of them are as good as ones you can get online
@@nintenbound64 I know that’s what I’m talking about
Never due to Microsoft's stranglehold and corporate greed.
@@joker709_7 Really? Cause I have custom addons I made downloaded directly to and running directly from my Xbox.
You forgot a large one. I forgot what the best working one was called exactly but it's an Origins addon, based (trying to make a replica that works for bedrock) version of the Origins fabric mod. My love can only play bedrock, so me, them, and a friend where all playing. I was a feline or avian, my love was at first a merlin but switched to endearian or whatever, and the friend was elytrian
It's reborne origins 😊
I think it’d be cool if toycat reviewed mcpedl addons
The forsaken odyssey addon is also very high quality
few people may have already mentioned it but for a lot of players the marketplace is easier and the only option available more so if you only play on console, having to navigate the folders on xbox to find the .mojang folder is beyond some players. id happily pay a bit of money to get vanilla tweeks style add-ons from market place(really got fingers crossed for that), just to make my life easier.
Nowadays I can't add add-ons because they say they get sent to another app even tho i used addons before on bedrock
I've played Oblivion Elder Scrolls 4 with addons, but with most games I feel like addons are more ruining the game than actually adding something. But it's good that they're there, many people like addons! I did try the backpack mod once, but then you can fill shulker boxes with backpacks and backpacks with shulker boxes, which makes the inventory practically unlimited.
You should check out Effect99 addons, I don't speak Spanish but these are the *best* addons for bedrock edition. I recommend the Factory addon. The quality on these addons are pretty good too.
Can you make a survival addon for any device?
Please make let's play with addon, or even addon pack (like mod pack in java) please!!!
My question is, how do you get add-ons on the nintendo switch? (I have the lite, so I want to know how I can do it without using the marketplace. )
My question here is how does this apply too switch because they don't have a dedicated browser unlike the breadbox and Sony counterparts
I really hope we can get Valkyrien Skies and mini blocks mod on bedrock.
Wait until you find out about the amethyst project, it's client side mods for bedrock, it's fairly new but someone's working on a minimap mod
Addons on bedrock (aside from the marketplace) can vary a lot.
Because these are made by people who made something either they wsnted or hear people want added to the game.
It is a part of the community that I believe deserves recognition.
And not just the marketplace.
While its true, a lot of addon makers may not get paid for their addons when posted online. Some of which dont mind when they make these for free.
There is sadly a risk to downloading some addons and ending up on a website, or the addon itself ends up being malicious.
I have been helping my friends get addons, as well as learning how to make addons myself.
The biggest reason why addons exist and can become more popular when users can access them and use them.
Because they can add features to the world the vanilla game otherwise wont have.
Mojang's bedrock team adding an addon section not only shows them being aware of addons and their potential to become much more popular. But also them jumping at the chance to make money by making their own addons.
I can go on all day about this...
I would install a few of these from MCDL... But usually when I try a whole lot of ads telling me my phones got a virus or something pop up... So the Minecraft Marketplace feels safer than MCDL...
The more structure addon also added mobs and herobrine for some reason
I have no problem with companies finding ways to monetize UGC in ways that allow creators to get paid. At the rate of $0.01 per download, even something as impressive as 73k downloads (and that was reviews, so the actual dl amount is likely more) is $730. That's not bad for a single developer working for a few weeks on something simple. I would hope and expect that Mojang is paying creators much better than that. And that potentially enables teams of devs to work on content like this full-time sustainably.
I hope free side-loaded mods continue on forever. But I also hope the legitimate and built-in marketplace thrives and is a healthy, if not even primary, method for getting paid content. I'm not sure about free content broadly. Seems Mojang isn't either. Those economics seem quite interesting.

I just legitimately got an ad for Minecraft marketplace when I clicked on this video
You can also put backpacks inside of backpacks lol
Reasons being of why ppl like console players are unable to use link downloads, PS4 players are unable to load/render in high-performance error by biomes and structures, including guns like high-rendering 3D models and too many entities of ammunition.
So devices like PlayStation and Xbox can't download links and store them like how a phone/mobile does and PC.
I'm sure Microsoft has reasons not to bring harmful violations of guns. Unless Microsoft could try configuration and arrangements of adding guns. The same reasons for custom biomes and structures, except how to rid high fps issues.
How can I get dynamic lighting on minecraft bedrock? I have Market pass plus and I csnt find it anywhere
one thing i need to know is how to get this on PlayStation though
Can I get addons to work on a bedrock realm? Not from the mc market place
Thing I don’t like about MCPEDL is the way the ad revenue links (for revenue to creators from clicks) works, many ads and potential harmful stuff in those solutions, wish it would be more restricted or built directly by MCPEDL and safe, maybe even with a scan of the files creators share.
Wish they would get either storm 😢
Theres the RLCraft equivalent addon pack called DLCraft

My dinosaurs add on is missing textures and features on Xbox how to fix
Better on bedrock is by far the best addon i have ever used, it adds so much, the staffs are wands, you need tomes to use them. It adds at least 10 bosses, adds more to the nether. You need to use experimental features to get rid of the “update” blocks, it has over 20 new weapons, new enchantments like treecapitator and vein miner. You also have to activate the global resources, I really recommend playing through in survival,

For some reason the xbox one browsers don't let you download anything anymore
Personally I love _chair_ .
@ibxtoycat
If you want to do more videos on addons on bedrock.
Please consider adding a PSA about being careful where and how you download addons.
Because there are sadly bad people out there. Some websites you can dowload addons from or sites you get redirected to can have malicious intentions. And even some addons can sadly come with a virus itself.
Does curse forge have mods for PE?
The backpack can't use Curios support, so it's not supported by Bedrock. If Curios ever came to Bedrock, I would be happy. Java's got better everything, really.

I wish Microsoft would see just how popular mods are and add in REAL modding ability instead of the super limited addons they currently have. It's clear they want to make money off the backs of mod creators but they don't want the mods to be better than what they are making.
Can you install these addons on a ps5?
my only problem with mcpe is how quick mods go out of date
I need an idiots tutorial for how to download add ons on bedrock ps4.
Can you give us a more detailed tutorial on how to download these?
Download the .mcaddon or .mcpack file(s)*, then open them and it should automatically launch MC and import the addon.
This is for PC, I have no idea how they work on consoles..
*Most addons have two or more files, the "resource pack" and "behavior pack" although some have just one and some have a third pack. Basically, download all the files associated with any given pack and import all of them and you should be ok. If MC complains that you just tried importing the same pack again, it's harmless and can be ignored. Other errors you might see are usually if the pack isn't compatible with your MC version and/or you're missing one or more of the downloaded pack files.

bro rlly said Tine-kuh instead of Teen-kuh somewhere in the overview
Should really check out the following mods if you want better versions, and would argue curseforge is the better user experience too, as they are checked and approved compared to mcpedl which could easily contain spyware.
Sophisticated backpacks - Depending on how you configure it, can be just useful enough or ridiculous to the point of carrying your whole base's storage everywhere you go.
Optifine's dynamic lightning - is way better quality than the 2 shown off, it's real time, and it only shows on the client side, so won't impact other players or mechanics, so is pure cosmetic, which I personally prefer as it can't be abused too much, and is more QoL than cheaty, not to mention Optifine also adds a whole ton of optimization to the game, so makes it run even smoother than default mc.
Better End.
You could make a custom curseforge modpack with all the mods/add-ons you want to use, then it will update them all at once whenever you want to transfer it over and play.
I've said it before, but they really need to hire some people like the optifine crew and take a year or so to update the base engine before any more updates, taking a year to just add a couple features is crazy.
Yeah the market place was definitely just for the consoles so they could get there sales up on there console versions lol
