- A TAS of Portal 2 with Portal Placement Never Fails (allows the placement of portals anywhere) for a final time of 11:49.133.
NOTE: The "betsrighter" glitch, a glitch where invincibility is kept during the wake-up cutscene, was mistakenly left on. In order to avoid a re-run, it was decided to keep the betsrighter invincibility state, but leave it unutilized.
This run follows the "Portal Placement Never Fails Out Of Bounds No SLA" ruleset, where the console command "sv_portal_placement_never_fails" is set to "1" at all times. The player may exit map boundaries, but quicksaves cannot be used to gain an advantage.

If i recall correctly, that's what makes the announcer and GLaDOS send their voicelines when they're not in the scene. They're errors because in P1 they used the weigthed cube model.
@@supervitu64 Incorrect - Portal 2 and Portal 1 cubes share the exact same model name of props/metal_box.mdl. They use the Axis Helper from Hammer, they appear as errors if you don’t have the Portal 2 Authoring Tools installed.

Most of this run is "what if Valve didn't make OOB surfaces non-portalable?" Basically Portal 1 under-elevators, just with a lot more levels lol

THis might not be correct but the speedrunners have found a way to be out of bounds by spamming saving and loading at specific points. this allows them to see the rest of the map. For portal they can then use the portals to jump around at insane speeds and since the save/load is only a frame or so it looks like pure chaos
@@NeSeeger one thing that always confused me with portal speedruns is that I thought you got stuck midair in the void out of bounds unless you noclip all the way.
