Lol watching this reminds me of my dad's stories. My grandfather was a marriage negotiator back in the days, and my dad use to tag along. He said that back then, some villages were notorious for doing this. All groomsmen had to drink a line of cup, one for every villager, leading into the village before they can even meet the bride's family.
We still follow that tradition here in America during a wedding. Trust me, this right of passage, many young Hmong men’s train all their single life for.
