In this TouchDesigner tutorial, we're using the cue parameter of the Movie File In TOP to control the video playback with any audio file. We use the snare detection that we built in this video:

Notes:
1) I said "any kind of video input" but it needs to be a file, no live input.
2) I noticed the speed doesn't actually add the value of itself (in this case 1 and then 10), but a fraction of that. Still have to figure out why.

This doesen't work & the last tutorial doesen't make sense becuase you don't even give us instructions on how to create the node thats needed from the last video

cFROM above you can use the audio analysis node in the palette tools to get a beat detection real quick with a premade ui

Hi. I am trying to record live audio through a mic. I can get get the mic working, but can't work out how to record it. I also have an image with audio reaction. I can make a recorded audio file work, but can't work out how to record live audio. Do you have a video with that info already in it? Thank you so much for all of your tutorials. Thanks for yet another super great tutorial! I got it all set up and working, but on some movie files i seem to be getting a lot of lag. Might this just be my system? (I'll be looking into Touch Designers system requirements) or is this sort of effect more demanding than others? Any good tips are welcome. (I'm running the non-commercial version etc.)
can you do the same with a noise top or other top created within touchdesigner?

Hi Bileam! Thanks for the video. I'm stuck trying to connect the AudioFileIn Chop to the custom beatsnaredetect in My components. When I drag it out it won't let me connect. Please Help.
Hey, amazing video man, I was wondering is it possible to have the snare detect and kick detect both affecting the video at the same time, I tried it but only lets me do one or the other. Thanks

Hey. Loving the tutorials! Just a bit confused about the order of the audio visual playlist. The tutorial numbers dont really match up so a bit confused about where to start.
There's no order in that playlist actually. I just put everything that's got to do with audio in one playlist, but it's videos from different playlists. I definitely see the confusion haha
My speed TOP is not playing a lil bit at a time, every time I add speed it just plays like a normal video..

is anyone else getting a completely unusable fps? Ive gone through the video multiple times and cant figure out what im doing wrong. it is just rendering improperly. any guidance would be greatly appreciated
