A lot of effort and hours of editing went into that last sketch. Did you notice the subtle inferences and nuances throughout? the colour grading alone made me weep
Another great video, Adam. Nice to see you out with Gavin again. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video of 2 guys just hanging out eating apples before - watched the whole thing.
I have only recently started watching and learning from your videos. I am so very impressed with everything that I've seen! You are so easy to listen to, and that is a number one "must" for me! What you have to say is concise, easy for me to understand, and valuable! What you photograph is what I would photograph, or would like to! Since listening to your videos, so well made, are so very important and enjoyable, I wonder if you might share your music selections with me, or us? It's a happy place trigger! I am not familiar with the music, but would like to have recordings for my quiet times.
Adam, have you considered bringing in a tall ladder to shoot from? You might get a good angle from up top. There's also a real estate photographer trick of mounting a camera on a long (15'-20') paint pole and it you have remote viewing set up it might help get a good angle too.
I like those types of areas to shoot in. Your images never cease to inspire and being in a bit of a slump with autumn color gone when Gavin mentioned frozen water ... a💡 went off. Merino wool hats you say.
Love the second shot with the rays and more of the island on the right of the comp. Very serene... LOVE the shot of the sun being embraced by the tree... Gavin and Adam back together, Gavin doing the grumpy cousin thing on the river wall. I like the new mic setup, looks like a tree. Hidden for sure! ;) The shapes of the river holes is very compelling, 15:43 my fav. Brian was having fun! :) Everybody loves eating in videos, hahaha. I think Gavin misses you...Love the BS'ing!!
Its reassuring for image makers like myself who detest post processing that there is but a settle difference between the raw files and the processed ones.
I think Gavin owes you 13 dollars just for being on this shoot, but then he would want one of those beautiful wool hats. After what he did to his camper Id suggest keeping his distance from that Fuji. Truthfully, the last segment is very enjoyable, but the shots are incredible. I love how you explain the composition and give those badly needed pointers of little things to look for. Now to apply them. Thanks again for another great video (and Thank Gavin for keepin those legs covered up!).
Very nice Adam. I need to visit Vancouver Island one day. You are a great Chamber of Commerce Ambassador here with all of the videos and beautiful photos. The bonus apple footage with Gavin was great. You two work well together. Thanks
I love your ad narration Adam. You missed your calling as a game show host! Lol Seriously though, those sunrise shots from Gordon Bay are extraordinary. 💖 The opening sequences were some top notch scenes; but those last 10 minutes of you eating an apple were Oscar worthy. Lol. Don't ever stop. 😂
Funny, I never thought of either one of you as introverts? Especially Gavin. He would definitely be sanguine. Anyway, another enjoyable video. Beautiful area!
Beautiful images on the Gordon bay Adam. Is it me? It looks like the photo of the island of last year wasned that close to the other island. Thnx for sharring.
Brilliant Adam. Love the detailed thought process into composition and execution of the shot. However, Paul Thomson has been sending me crying emojis over messenger and asking for abandonment issues counselling 🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I wonder what it is, this curious preponderance of British landscape photographers on RUclips? It seems that probably 8 out of 10 landscape photography channels are from England (or have hosts originally from England ...Adam, Gavin, Bri, Thomas, Ian, Gary, Steven, Alister, etc., etc., etc.). Hey I love the British🇬🇧...I have my daily daily dose of PG Tips, or Yorkshire tea with a spot of milk☕️, but enough. Now I try to find some channels that have photographers other than British for a change of pace. For the U.S. the only prolific landscape photographer RUclips channels are Nick (though he’s been cutting back lately), Michael Shainblum, Ben Horne, the Pereas. Could it be that we Yanks have “day jobs” so we’re too busy to post?
Great vlog. I thought the beginning scenes and video was incredible. Was that your vlogging camera on a tripod or a drone? Also - what software do you use to put the video and music together?
In another video he said he still loves his D850 and plans on keeping it. Myself I kicked Nikon to the curb after 45 loyal years....SO much for the loyal part! :)
Hi Adam the last two videos that you produced the beginning absolutely wonderful. When you went to your self on today’s video it was absolutely stunning in color. I don’t know how long you have been a videographer but the music and the video is the best I’ve seen. Your ability to show us the back of the camera it’s so cool it’s perfect. Happy to see your buddy Gavin. And I’m also happy to see you’re continuing to use the Fujifilm medium format. I just heard you announce that you will be have a new merchandise there’s nothing more than I would like is one of Karen‘s hats. I have one of Gavin‘s sweatshirts which is very cool. I’d probably have said it before if not I truly enjoy living my life vicariously through both your self and Gavin. Someday God willing I will be able to go on a trip with you. And on a closing note what are you using to video your B roll I know that you did have a Fuji XT four. Like most working pros in the states I haven’t worked since March or I would have a signed print Of those beautiful flooded birch trees. I’ll stop rambling I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I enjoy this every week.
Saraxmonic UWMIC9 RX9+TX9+TX9 2-PERSON WIRELESS LAVALIER MICROPHONE SYSTEM worked really well paired with a Sony A7iii on a very remote and windy video I created recently, we were very surprised at the quality. Ok, next time I'll edit with compression I promise.
🇨🇦/🇺🇸 Brain lit up when I heard Tim Hortons. I grew up about 4 miles from the very first Timmies in Hamilton and also lived right across from another very early one. I'm bummed now though. They're not the same as "back in the day". I moved to Michigan 20 years ago... how the f#ck did THAT happen!!!... and whaddya know, they have them here too, now. One day I may move back... or at least travel extensively across Canada. I MUST visit Vancouver island. Adam... doesn't more than a few minutes with Gavin scramble yer brains???
Great images. Is that spot off the main inland highway or the old road? Is it safe to park on the road and best to park on the road going north or south?
So, I tuned in to watch epic photography with a Fuji camera and I stayed to watch two middle aged men eat fruit and be catty about other Togs, including he who must not be named (TH)
Hi Adam. One small question. It is not the first time, that I noticed that you go for high apertures (11 and above), when taking a shot. Aren't you afraid to loose some quality due to those high apertures, rather than go for 8 and stack ? In my analog times, that was a considerable Problem. Even with my Hasselblad. Sorry for my bad English !
@They Caged Non OK, diffraction is the English word. Yep, I agree so far. Although I am currently only working with a Fuji X Pro3, I can sense that in some shots, but C1 can perform really good(when on RAW). I still believe, some pics need pin-sharp resolution, that's why I am asking.
During these quarantine times, I am alone a lot. I always like to watch these videos when I am eating. Usually I feel less lonely. Thank you for that!
Good to hear, hang in there Mitchell you're definitely not alone in your feelings
This is what I do too. It definitely makes dinner less lonely
Gavin and Uncle together . 2020 is back to normal . I am so happy
That last 10 minutes is the pinnacle of RUclips quality content! Subbed!
Gavin, sorry without Amanda just 2nd rate Schtick! All kidding aside it is always nice to see you and Adam together!
Yes, but to which channel, yours or Adams?
Yeah, I wonder what a first time viewer would think! I quite enjoyed it but I'm a tad masochistic that way.
A lot of effort and hours of editing went into that last sketch. Did you notice the subtle inferences and nuances throughout? the colour grading alone made me weep
Good to see you two collabing again...
Another great video, Adam. Nice to see you out with Gavin again. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video of 2 guys just hanging out eating apples before - watched the whole thing.
Is it weird that these random conversations about very little are often my favourite moments in these videos...
And I was thinking about adopting a British accent because I am convinced that's the secret to ultimate success as a Landscape Photographer!
I don't know of a single American that is a successful landscape photographer. Well, there's that one guy.
I'm convinced Vancouver Island is almost exclusively populated by British photographers.
It is, we even have a British Shop so people in town can get there fix on Curley Whirleys
Theres a british shop in....sooke. of all places, by the hwy.
@@QuietLightPhoto Vancouver Island is truly a veritable Eden. :-)
Isn‘t the capital Victoria very British as well??
@@nevillewatkins4997 And it's not Oregon.
I really appreciate the narration of the why and how of your compositions, sometimes it is good to see how the sausage is made.

Beautiful, the opening of the video left me imagining Bill Mason paddling into view.cracking watch.
You and me both!
I like those types of areas to shoot in. Your images never cease to inspire and being in a bit of a slump with autumn color gone when Gavin mentioned frozen water ... a💡 went off. Merino wool hats you say.
Gavin doesn't like the stairs on the Kletus mobile since he drove off with them still down. Nice video & images.
I had always thought I needed a friend named Nigel. I subscribed to one, now I'm over it.
Great song by XTC "We're only making plans for Nigel"
Great video as usual. Now I want an apple and I don’t even like apples!
The chat with Adam at the end was more enjoyable than any photo vlog you have done
Loved the apple scene. Very funny. The rest was also very educational. Thank you.
Those river shots were awesome. Good to see Compo from last of summer wine back again
I love the bonus material at the end between you and Gavin. I would like to see more of this type of content. Great content and photographs.
Ita great seeing you and FotoTripper together!
Your music choices should be a separate playlist. Always elevating your artwork to a higher place. I would pay real money for that elevator music.
I would love a list please!
As usual the photography was great. Schoolboy conversation at the end was a bonus.
You two could almost be a couple of Northumberland farmers discussing the weather. lol
So lucky to have a outstanding location
I love how you framed the sun with those branches at 8:50
Interesting spot to photograph, Adam, and conversation afterwards.
Any video that has photography, Adam and Gavin starring in it gets a huge thumbs up from me. Much appreciated keep up the good work guys 🙂
I was thinking recently how I've missed seeing you and Gavin in a video together. Glad to see you both in this one.
@24:40, can't believe this didn't disrupt composure....tips....Brians Dad....giggedy

Based on the video of the creek, I didn’t expect a great photo. Well, I was very wrong. Great photo. And great friends too.
A really enjoyable video good to see you all out together. Thanks
Very nice Adam. I need to visit Vancouver Island one day. You are a great Chamber of Commerce Ambassador here with all of the videos and beautiful photos. The bonus apple footage with Gavin was great. You two work well together. Thanks
Spoilt by uploads from you and Gavin this evening, thank you. Great stuff.
Worked out really well- understatement! You've captured some gorgeous depth in this one
I mean the green swampy composition
Excellent vlog, and the images were OK too 😀 You and Gavin should do more of those fireside chats, I had a few chuckles there.
Love the bonus - good to hang around just for that! Great little locations that you photographed too.
Thanks for watching
Gavin was making me super nervous around that tripod for 10+ mins... :)
Those rock formations are amazing. You captured the essence of them. Love that you and Gavin were together. Thanks for sharing!!!
I love your ad narration Adam. You missed your calling as a game show host! Lol
Seriously though, those sunrise shots from Gordon Bay are extraordinary. 💖
The opening sequences were some top notch scenes; but those last 10 minutes of you eating an apple were Oscar worthy. Lol. Don't ever stop. 😂
Good to see Gavin out n about with you Adam . Was beginning to think you guys had a tiff 😁
Some cool images and super fun to watch! The chat at the end was awesome guys!
If you double tap the screen to skip 10 seconds during the squarespace ad then you literally get Adam Gibbs saying "squarespace" over and over again
I like the aspect ratio you chose for the opening scenes.
That second location. Every time you let go of your tripod, my butt puckered. Then, when Gavin kicked it.
Love those bubbles and the green water.
Funny, I never thought of either one of you as introverts? Especially Gavin. He would definitely be sanguine. Anyway, another enjoyable video. Beautiful area!
First Gavin's vid and now this. Makes for a great day!
What happened to Thomas at the campsite though? It's a cliffhanger!
Not my story to tell ;-) maybe one day he'll tell it.
Wow, I am in awe. Your photography is the best.
I could not turn it off haha 😆 had to stay to the end I was riveted
You got me at 6:45 and 8:48. Beautiful images
The bonus content was a real bonus. Really enjoyed it. Had me in tears at one point. 😂
Adam you look like Compo out of "Last of the summer wine" Its a uk comedy program for those that don't know. Enjoyed the video.
Hehe loved that show
Beautiful images on the Gordon bay Adam. Is it me? It looks like the photo of the island of last year wasned that close to the other island. Thnx for sharring.
You are correct as there was more water
That was one lucky fly right at the start!
Brilliant Adam. Love the detailed thought process into composition and execution of the shot.

Eating apples and talking about sidekicks! 😂🤣 That's fun!
Well, I'm just not happy about this at all. Chucked on the scrapheap eh! Lol 😀👍✌ Fantastic images and love that Gordon bay area.
I wouldn't stand for it Paul!

Terrific vlog. Loved the conversational bit at the end too.
Gordon bay looks beautiful. I had 16 days planned from Dec 18th at the island. Had to cancel due to the pandemic. Hopefully next year.
That’s become the motto of 2020 for so many things - “Hopefully next year” ☹️
An overhead drone shot might look cool from that ocation as well.
Nice talk at the end, that's quality content. Pure joy. Please consider making a few 5-panel caps as well. 1000 $ would be no problem ;-)
That's the plan!
I can't believe I just watched and heard Adam eat an apple. It's quite a compliment when you think about it.
Always good to see you guys together at the end so entertaining:)
Stunning.......!!!!
That picture at 7:05 is amazing, and so is the one at 8:42!!
I could watch you shoot the breeze with Gavin all day lol
Got my copy of your book the other day. Enjoyed your images as expected. If you enjoy images everyone, get your copy of Adam's book.
Great thanks Brent!
You two guys are really a mess together. Real funny stuff>
Great vlog. I thought the beginning scenes and video was incredible. Was that your vlogging camera on a tripod or a drone? Also - what software do you use to put the video and music together?
Just a tripod. I use Final Cut Pro
Great vid Adam, those were some cool shots. Was this an experiment, because not gonna lie I watched you eat an apple for 10 minutes lol....
It's going to be a new feature. Different fruit each week,
@@QuietLightPhoto Great next week durrian fruit!
New episode title: "Adam's Apple."
