It’s actually a lot more scary than that. After they interviewed and talked to the boy he said he had no idea his sister was in the same house as him for months. They were in the same house the whole time and had no clue. The sister was also very timid toward the officers, and only started to move once given food after 2 HOURS of the officers trying to coax her to talk

I heard a statistic that only 20% of reported child abuse cases in Los Angeles County were investigated. And that was before the pandemic. I'm sure that situation is equally as bad in other parts of the country.

My school teacher patted my back and I flinched which prompted her to take me to the girls room and found the belt marks. The school called CPS and they came to our house. My mom had already coached us what to say, and the lady never spoke to us in private. The maid served tea and coffee on a silver platter. She said it was obvious we could not be abused in such a lovely home. She said the real abuse was in the low income areas, not Bel Air. People are blinded by money. Having wealth does not preclude one from suffering real abuse. Children can be abused in any house. God help and bless all suffering children.🙏✝️🛐💜💜💜

Over 45 years ago, when I was 9, I called the Anaheim PD. I was reporting my dad was beating me and my mother, and the police did nothing. My dad was able to talk himself out of any trouble. The 2 officers were apologizing to him on their way back to the car. I'm glad to see time has changed some situations.

Sorry bruh, I know the feeling, we called the cops on my pops and the situation got even worse!, because they sat him in the car and gave him a little talking , and left! Being around him was like walking on egg shells, because you never knew from day to day what would trigger his rage! And that affected my whole life! Bad grades in school, ultimately I left that situation, but the damage was already done and it took me years to to deal with the trauma, because you never unsee , or over come the lived-experinece of violence especially at a young tender age! I went through life thinking every one was screwed-up and the problem until I did an introspection and realized I was the one who was really damaged and screwed up! After that I wanted to apologize to anyone I ever came into contact with that I had an issue with ! Hang in there bruh!

It's actually in a very affluent neighborhood near the town I live in. I do a lot of work in the neighborhood. It's called Kayenta in Ivins utah.

All " mental health professionals" should be regularly assessed. I heard a saying once, people interested in abnormal psychology, have abnormal psychology.
I was always interested in psychology. Though my focus was on human factors and aviation psychology, abnormal psychology was a required class for me. I'm glad that it was just one semester, any longer, any further down the hole in that area, I'm not sure I'd have lasted. This case here is undoubtedly sick. But the true depravity of some people, how far they will go when it comes to crimes against others is unthinkable. It is very deep and very dark. I'm not even sure that we came all that close to looking into the absolute worst. I'm not sure it's quite accurate to characterize those who work in abnormal psych as having abnormal psych. It would be much more appropriate to say thst they have a real genuine interest in understanding the human mind and solutions to such problems. Truth be known if we were all held up for comparison against what is textbook 'normal', there wouldn't be anyone. There is what we consider to be normal and then there is 'normal'.
What I remember from my first day in abnormal psych was our professor insisting that we not attempt to diagnose ourselves because it is possible to meet all criteria of some disorders but not at all have a disorder. I ultimately concluded that some people just are not people at all, given the things thstcthey can do to others without an ounce of remorse or caring. But it is absolutely critical that we have abnormal psych researchers.

I remember hearing the 911 call on TikTok. The neighbour was reporting the thin, starving, wounded little boy who knocked on his door & asked for help. The man spoke quietly & calmly, but his voice began breaking as he continued to report the child's story. He had fed the boy, but left everything else for police & paramedics to deal with. It was heartbreaking.

Man listen I often think about the horrific things that never make social media or news outlets that u guys have to endure on a daily. I was super interested in becoming a firefighter or police officer but I really don’t know if I can handle the emotional part of seeing people in these types of positions.,im just now gettin help for my own trauma
@@The.K.Rashadshow Yeah you really need to separate yourself from the incident if possible and try not to lay blame, example a drunk driver in a full size pickup that runs a red light at high speed cutting a Buick Riviera in half at the windshield cutting 2 elderly people in it in half at the waist, how would you deal with the drunk sitting almost uninjured next to his truck watching us? Thank god they didn't record what we said into our headsets in the truck when we were headed back to the station. As a retired firefighter, paramedic, and nurse there are things in my head that no one should have to see. At the time it is "relatively" easy to separate the scene from your emotions/feelings, it is afterwards that is the tough part. Thankfully now most departments/companies have counselors to come in and"debrief" everyone to help minimize. the PTSD.
As a registered nurse, this is the reason I cannot work with children! The things those nurses see is horrifying and I know I wouldn’t be able to restrain myself from abusive parents 😔

I am a former psychology major. We found out that a good portion of the people in the mental health field have severe mental health issues of their own. I changed career paths because I finally decided that I couldn’t listen to people whine all day.
Well.... I would say the lack of public education and funding is just as, if not more, responsible for how terrible our mental Healthcare is in this country but I won't debate that there are some REALLY terrible therapists and psychiatrists out there

The real sick part of it is that she is a licensed mental health counselor so she may also be able to be approved by the court as guardian however the local social service district inspects and visits. Parents should have the same rights to inspect these type of facilities.
Her license was taken away years ago for malpractice. Also the mother was heavily involved and is also facing charges.

This wasn't a facility. It was her home. And the children (at least some... maybe all) were the children of that Ruby Franke woman who's been all over the news recently for the nightmare that she and this woman put those children through. The whole thing is beyond sick and both of them are absolute monsters. I hope they rot in prison. (although that might be taking it too easy on them)

I'll never understand violence towards children, especially from a woman.
They blame the child sometimes for taking their lives/careers away. I had an ex who told me her mum hated her as a child, and always reminded her she ruined her life being born..horrible mother.
