In canon, Toa Helryx is the first ever Toa to exist. The Toa Mata were the first Toa team to exist. However the Toa Corak were hailed by the Matoran of Metru Nui, because only Artakha, the Av-Matoran, and the Order of Mata Nui were the only ones who knew of the Toa Mata's existance
@@bionic-tale4313 Really? I thought the Mata were the first Toa ever and Tahu was the first of them built, so the first one ever made? I always felt like Whenua's mask power was pretty pointless given where he lived and that that ability was pretty much imperative for anyone in onu-Koro or Metru

Ok so, nuju speaks the language of flying rahi because of a rahaga (which I hope you will review ) was an expert of them who was kualus and speaks that language to remember metru nui and his adventures as a toa
hey, i'm a big fan of the old bionicle figures, and i absolutely love it that you're doing reviews on them, i was wondering if you were gonna be doing a review of the Toa metru. they're my fave toa's, if you're not really interested in doing it then that's still fine, love the reviews and let's build's none the less. :D
Fun fact: in the game: tales of the tohunga, we see that each of the turagas staff are actually just tools used by the tohunga/matoran. Vakamas staff is used to create a bright flash that stuns some small Ravi that may be trublesom in working , Matous staff is simply just a saw on a stick, it cuts trees. Anywas hammer is used to crush bolders. Nocoma has a trident… dip Shi- newjoos staff is the only one that actually utilizes his respect element, as it can create bits of ice wich you can walk across water with. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk
its so cool because the turaga were once toas... and when you talked about matoro i remembered that the matoran from mc donalds were in the end toa inika/mahri xD i love the lore so much
i'm not sure if you have or haven't yet, but your Vakama has a bit of dust like a lot of old bionicle sets do. You can wash the pieces individually and thoroughly to get rid of that squeaking, and since he's a small set you should have no trouble in cleaning his parts in very little time
That specific game wasn't very caring about details like that, being that it was heavily rushed and most of its content was cut. But at least it gives us an idea on what Nuju might sound like when he's not talking like a bird maybe??????
I'm sort of surprised you don't like asymmetrical designs, and I wonder how many people feel this way. The Komau and Mahiki were always some of my favourite masks as a child, solely for their asymmetry.
They diffinetly are supposed to be the village elders, but it's funny because they are same age as all the other matoran, besides the av matoran like takua and solek who are OLDER than them.
Am I the only one who was hoping we would see the next gen Toa on Mata Nui? I mean, All those Maccas Matoran became Toa... soooo does that mean there is a Turaga Tahu we never got to see? Where are these amazing figures?

When I played MNOLG 2 and found out that Nuju talks in clicks and whistles, I thought it was because something was wrong with his voice and he could not communicate any other way. Then I read the comics and realized he learned about talking to birds as a toa from a rahaga or something. It suddenly made him seem less mysterious and more like an annoying jerk.
You can kind of tell they were already running out of ideas for mask powers here. Invisibility is arguably just a worse version of matau's illusions, and having your mask power being equivalent to a hands free torch would probably feel pretty bad next to your brothers with telekinesis and mind control. Also Onewa and Onua are basically the same name. Idk just feels like a lot of flavour for these guys kinda comes across as after-thoughts.

Nuju: "That mask power is hopless..."
Whenua: "Well, it has to be better than water breathing!"

Gigantamax Galvantula here*
They do make a point in Tales of the Masks to say that it gives him better night vision than even Onua Nuva.

Although it is the most iconic I think Vakama's is the most 'useless' if you are basing them on practicality.

You have turaga Matau built incorrectly. He doesn’t have any leg extensions
I can think of at least 29 good things to do with a buzz saw on a stick
