In the last ten years or so, I went to a movie theater theater twice. The last one I went to was a customer invite. It was a hit movie, Avengers or something was the name. It had Robert Downy Jr and his character dies in the end. I slept through the middle part. I agree with Mr Baldwin. Movies are about story telling. Hollywood just can't do it anymore. I watch old and foreign films now. Good movies - that is good screenplay, good directions, and good actors - should be able to capture your attention in the first 20 minutes. If it can't, I stop watching it. There is a reason why Shakespeare had the 3 witches appear in the first part of Macbeth. He knew how to hold the audience's interest. The whole thing is no surprise. I was a movie hound in the 80s and 90s. Also did my rounds at Blockbuster picking rando stuff based upon liner notes on the VHS boxes or if a certain actor I liked was in it. You want to hear him talk about sharks biting people and imigrants eating dogs right??....
We already know what Trump has to say. Kamella would be more entertaining to watch in a long interview. Comedy gold!
So is Pat. 😂
☝️ Omg yesss an interview with Kamala now that’s entertainment
@@TonySki-h4jI’m so thankful trump brought awareness to the Springfield horrors. Nobody knew about it before. Now everyone knows and the community is getting support.
As someone who works in the industry… YEP!!! Spot on! Except Stephen just placed a tiny scratch on the surface. It goes much deeper into the toilet now.
He’s 1000000% right. I even see it taking over my industry (western performance horse industry) Taylor Sheridan swooped in with big Hollywood investors, monopolized our industry and way of life, brought his celebrity buddies and has completely ruined what was a sport and lifestyle done out of pure passion. It’s turned into a rich man’s sport. Now the top trainers only care about signing movie/tv deals, brand deals, having the wealthiest/celebrity clients, lining their pockets and pushing out the little guys that built this industry out of their love for the western horse. Even Bella Hadid swooped in and is dating a major cutting trainer and it’s now in Vogue and I quote “Bella Hadid is to the sport of cutting what Taylor Swift is to the NFL”. Which is complete bullshiiiittttt. But it’s the orchestrated imagine Hollywood is pushing us to accept. There are so many phenomenal riders out there that have sacrificed everything to make it in our industry and are being overlooked because they don’t fit the imagine they are going for.
That sounds like the American way to me. Grab, appropriate and sell it as your own.
Insightful. That's true. I hardly watch movies now, and when I do I gravitate toward movies pre 2000.
No wonder I stopped watching movies and lost love for ‘em. Miss the good all classics and inspiring stories that moved you…
Hollywood is already on life support, big stars doing tv commercials now😂
Please listen to him. He’s telling facts.
Stephen's personality reminds me of David Lee Roth very much. They are both kind of out there but really intelligent.
He stresses me out... Tells the truth, but stresses me out. Kinda patronizing towards the interviewer. Just my opinion.
He's 💯 percent on point thay lost the art of writing movies
Its been, since the old guard died
(I rarely watch post 1990s movies)
Around 1990?
However

@@kathleenking47 last good movie I watched was withnail and I
@@kathleenking47 i agree there is too much nudity and sexual content in todays movies...i do not see how actors could be so immoral to do such things on screen...what must their parents think
Everything is about greed. McDonald's is not about feeding, MSM news is not about informing, and big pharma is not about your health. So why should the movie industry be any different.
My aunt and uncle introduced me to old cinema classics when I was 12 (I’m 59) and I was hooked. We would buy season tickets to the Sunday matinee held at the university. A Classic cinema channel is what I will watch now. I am so glad they did that for me, very fond memories.
@@bettyrubble9420 I got hooked to classic cinemas as well. Due to the monetization process on YT, I am observing a lot more old films in good quality condition, appearing there. This is great because suddenly these movies are available to be viewed rather than sit idle in some distributers inventory, of no use to anyone.
Right. It's bigger than just Hollywood. US culture is so much about grabbing resources, appropriating them to fit your purposes and then selling the products as their own. God bless America.
Facts
It’s hard to lose the love for something that was never there in the first place. Many actors are complicit of this.
80’s and 90’s had the best movies hands down.
Remember "Arthur" the movie. With Iiza Minnelli and Dudley Moore. So silly yet so funny. PS Christopher Cross the theme song. That is what movies are supposed to be like. Just a classic.
I absolutely love how animated this guy is while having a normal conversation. Talking with him must never be boring. Lol
Means he has anxiety if he talks with his hands
That's not at all what I meant. Did you even watch the video? Lol
@@KennyPorter-hs1mk WHAT lmaooo
More like hyperactive
Creative people tend to be like that @KennyPorter-hs1mk
I think he’s got a super creepy egotistical vibe. He talks down to PBD with a condescending tone.
But he’s telling the truth about Hollywood. All of those Baldwins have enormous egos.
I haven’t watched a new movie for many years now.
Stopped watching Hollywood movies for a long time now
2:30 Stephen is spot on here, AI technology is moving so quickly that we will definitely see AI movies moving into the space very soon. As he said, as long as the story is compelling, it will still be watched by people. Hollywood, like the music industry, is rapidly becoming redundant.
8:26 doing it for the money... Ad came in perfect hahah
It's perfect that Stephen Baldwin is giving this impassioned speech about doing it for the art of storytelling and then the video cuts to Patrick hardcore selling some stupid hats and flip flops. Way to go, Pat.
Patrick would be a sellout in movie business
That was the best part of the video in my eyes 😂
I felt like I was watching Wayne’s World for a second. Also ironic how he’s talking about how it’s all about the money now. Clearly the host doesn’t care because he’s locked into $elling that merch
Whether or not one appreciates Steven Baldwin’s delivery/way of articulation, I see where he’s coming from, and do agree with him on many points.
He’s over the top, an actor lol
The same man who whored out his own daughter…….🙄
Haven’t visited a theater in over two years. I couldn’t care less if I step foot in one ever again. It’s all vapid juvenile propaganda at this point.
Have been to the movies like 3 times in 10 years.
I did the other week for the first time in a long time. I paid $$11 for a cheap bottle of water and small popcorn. Mind you I live in a small town in Iowa. Still that expensive. That's not including the price for the ticket not to mention
Ken Loach who's one of Britain's most prominent filmmakers has been equally vocal about Hollywood's corrupt process
It's one of the reasons I Daniel Blake failed to get a release over there let alone an Oscar Campaign & went onto make £15 million in England on a £2 million budget
its more likely because he has spoken out about Israeli barbarism and occupation in Palestine
@@jamesgains8652 He has indeed, but he's also attacked Hollywood & The US government
Also despite very reluctantly supporting Remian in the Brexit Referendum, has attacked the EU on several occasions
In many ways Loach is a left-wing British Clint Eastwood, he shows an uncompromising, brutal view of the world which doesn't flinch
That's maybe why he hasn't & probably never will recieve Hollywood attention
@@CalumRoberts-i1x The Wind That Shakes The Barley was a masterpiece. Cillian Murphy is amazing in it. Sweet 16 was really good too, and The Angel's Share was really funny. Great director.
I've gone back to watching movies from the 20's through to the 90's. I'm not interested in CGI and editing after every word! Bette Davies could deliver lines for 3 minutes none stop.
Me too! I got so sick of the lack of artistry and the carnality of the recent films so I started searching RUclips for movies from 20's, 30's etc to see if the content has truly changed and OMG it has changed for the worse🤦♀Jamaica Inn (1939) w/ Charles Laughton was the first old classic I ever watched and man was it good. I'm also binging on the old Sherlock Holmes classics from that era and the thin man series...
I thought it was me. Films these days are a woke and weird mess.
All these new studios will fall faster than the ones before because these folks still don't get it... I don't believe they ever will.
I never thought I would agree with Baldwin, but he is RIGHT about actors and a couple of other things. Good job guys
Love humanity, hate people. A quote I feel reflects the idealistic mass orientation today and losing the individual feeling being honored. Every individual has a story. The group not so much
Its really this, "love pple, hate sin"..
I agree , everytime I get involved with a group of people it gets ugly. I am 66 years old. if You don't agree with them you are no good to them. So be it. Good . BYE.
So true! Most all movies suck these days.
2016-A New Hope
2020-The Empire Strikes Back
2024-Return of the Jedi

no
I hope so!!
Hahaha perfect 👌🏽
If Star Wars made 8 remakes per year , their fans would scream take my money . Absolute pedestrian trash . Ditto the comic book movies
This is why Ted Lasso is so popular. Story. Heart. Human kindness and compassion.
I used to say, America makes 3 things well, movies, music, and bombs. I'll let you guess, which one has survived the most?
Much love and respect to the genuine, truth-tellers. My people. Call them crazy, call them underdogs, call them my friends! God bless you, Stephen.🙏🏽❤️🇺🇸

The good movies were made by Jews and Christians, believers, who had an understanding of the "story" of God's creation. This is why they knew people and knew good stories. The godless in Hellwood can't compete.
Jews?????
They hate Christians.
Harvey Weinstein??
Great Interview!!! I watched every segment. Stephen Baldwin is SO REAL, and I really appreciate that. I try and be the same in my life as a financial advisor. "For the love of the game." I really enjoyed watching this interview.👏👏👏👏
Remember when Bat Man came out in 1989 how great and unique it was. Now there’s been so many comic book movies they should never make another one.
Agree! Titantic came out in 1997 and Titantic II in 2025 WTF ?
Big respect to Baldwin for speaking the truth. And being unabashed💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Grew up in Massapequa, Biltmore Shores, where the Baldwins grew up. Their dad was a teacher in my high school. Stephen, I believe, was coached by my dad, Tom O'Connell.
Did you know Roy Demeo?!!
I remember seeing Stephen Baldwin in “Posse” 1993.
Great western film.
"Deal me in Father Time 😄"
I would allege Barbie is Harley Quinn in the future.
Agree completely. Gone are the days of cinematic masterpieces like Bio-Dome.
Yeah! Bio Dome!
Exactly why I never got rid of my VCR or my VHS' or DVD'S
NICE. Well I did save My DVD music collection! Rock On , Sir.
Very great piece to think about. Thank you.
The “tail is wagging the dog” in Nashville too.
This is my favorite Baldwin.. He shows you why here
I never realized why Stephen is where he is until watching this.
Yup, there's a pattern in Hollywood.
Vinny makes this show. The love and compassion he exudes is overwhelming. Thank you.
It's a shame. Movies are just not good these days. The editing is too quick and I don't like that shakey camera stuff. I also miss 24fps.
PREACH IT!!! 1000% EXACLTY
Very interesting observation in fact, the Bible talks about how the love of money is one of the roots of all sorts of evil, and it seems in this case, it’s definitely the evil of Making crappy movies for corporate money
I was a movie hound in the 80s and 90s. Also did my rounds at Blockbuster picking rando stuff based upon liner notes on the VHS boxes or if a certain actor I liked was in it.
Any flick I liked became immortalized in a closet by purchasing it when it went on sale at any retail store or the local rental shop discounted them to create more shelf space for the new stock.
In essence, might have 150+ VHS tapes in all and yes, there were times I thought about throwing them all out given the newer technology. But.... my VCR still functions and given todays crap being shoved down our throats, I now treasure that old school VHS collection.
I could listen to PBD all day. Love this interview btw.
i could look at pbd all day....what a hunk stud
The passion in the man's speech...I completely get it....I cant tell you how many conversations I have with my son about this and how I'm teaching him to understand the difference between just mindless "entertainment" and good story telling. And thank God he's starting to understand...had him watch The Fox and the Hound and Fantastic Mr. Fox the other day and he said he LOVED them.
we need to replace this transformer and comic book crap with epics and westerns, cameron needs to stop with avatar smurfs and make more legit sci-fi
And the O'Bamas own Netflix.
The only Baldwin i like!👌
I have to agree 💯% with what Stephen said! Pretty shocked he spoke so openly. Thanks for that.
You can really tell that movies have went downhill over the years. Many of them seem like they're generated with AI and CGI with regurgitated, cookie cutter plots and story lines that are so boring and pointless. The consumer is craving SUBSTANCE, meaning, purpose and "the moral of the story" now more than ever
Excellent interview 👏🏼
I hated Barbie movie. I'd watch people passing by and enjoy it more than watching movies like that.
I love and admire Stephen Baldwin-his authenticity and his love for art inspire me. He seems like such a genuine, good person, and I wish him all the best. I appreciate him for his honesty and openness, and for being a true sign of contradiction in Hollywood. It’s something we deeply need to help bring about its purification and holiness. Thank you, Stephen Baldwin, for being a light in a place that could use more of it.
I couldn't agree with him more in the fact that all of hollywood is evil. For the love of God please stop the creepy whispering. It's cringe to say the least.
Gosh @pBD kudos to steve and you. this was real and heartfelt
Honestly would have pegged the baldwins as super left hollywood schill.... this interview changed my mind.
They're not all the same politically.
Alec and Stephen are pretty different.
Probably not the first pegging
@scottcantdance804 good to know and makes a lot of sense.
Alec is a bonified dirtbag
Stephen is not the only one who isn’t super liberal.
Stephen is 100% spot on!!! Much respect for him!!❤
