I’m the same with running motivation. Doing a slow run worrying about a niggle sucks when you’ve been doing big long runs and workouts. I definitely need to have a bigger picture mindset to get out the door 😅
I wash my Asics in the washer. The only thing I avoid doing is drying my shoes in a dryer. I allow my shoes to air dry under the sun. So don't hesitate to wash your shoes. I recommend the Oxy Clean for whites so that it can bring your shoes back to a clean white.
I put my shoes in a bucket with a scoop of nappy Sam or mild soap in the shower with me. My mum used to put my sneakers in the wash and they were never the same after. This was a long time ago though.
Put two pairs of shoes in the washing machine. Both pairs shrink. For one pair the shrinkage helped but the other pair became unwearable. After muddy runs I wash in Sink in lukewarm water with Dawn detergent, removing insole and leave outside if possible to dry. Open up wide so air goes through.
Don't put your shoes in the washing machine! Haven't tried but not worth the risk. I've heard stuff like the glue being damaged and the upper tearing from the midsole, etc

Ooo ok thanks for the tip!
Interesting take! I come back from injury way too quick and get so motivated
hahaha somewhere between the two of us sounds ideal 😂

That sounds a bit less risky!

Ooft not worth it when they're $300+ each 😂😭
