Have a ramp that goes from the water to the land for you to know soon to be Amphibious vehicles and then a dock for your future boats. I would also recommend you getting a lumber truck for wood. 20:06 Satisfying
Kan, you can find some interesting building materials, even ones not craftable with the craft bot, on the roof and in the yard/lot of the warehouse, as well as there are wedge pieces there too, not sure how much wedges, but I know there are atleast a few. Hope this helps, have a good one
It feels like the game could use with some balance changes. There's something to be said for necessity being the mother of invention, but you also shouldn't have to grind for hours to do 2 minutes of building.
you should use the I-Beams for the rafters of the shop, it would make it more industrial/workshopy. Maybe also use the caution blocks to surround a large square in the shop and/or at the entrance of the shop.
You should make a building just for refining and make a trailer that has recourse holders on it plus chests on top for when you collect it or something like that.
Take the long lights from the little scrap huts and put them in the floor shining up and maybe cover them with glass. Should help with the shadow a lot.
I saw the scrapman video were three bosses attacked him at the same time and one of them started swiming around his farm so, be cerefull because bosses can swim.
Shed looks so good! I think you should consider adding an outside balcony to overhang over the water to the left. Maybe even build stairs on the inside to get to inside balcony and then a door or just a port to outside one. Must look sick!
Hey kan, you really NEED TO GET A SPUDGUN BECAUSE IF, oops caps, you don’t then it’s gonna become really hard to just kill farm bots when you start farming more
You should make a sort of platform ring around inside on the second floor. So if you need to work higher on your truck or something you don’t need to use blocks or the jack. Something like a scaffolding
Looks great! Maybe a single row of metal around the windows to make them look "framed" would look cool. Can also put lights in the floor so you can see the underside of the vehicle on the lift :)
Kan you should probably consider using the Cookbot, the description doesn't say it but the burgers restore the health bar fully, it's incredibly efficient Also you should definitely make a metal trim around the windows and maybe add more metal columns on the shed walls, make it less flat
I really, really hope that the devs make changes to the obscene grind in order to build things in survival. I don't understand why they have to make such a fun game frustrating with lengthy crafting timers and horrible effort-to-block ratios. Hopefully the need to artificially bloat the game will lessen with future content updates... Still, I enjoy watching your projects unfold. Your tenacity is impressive! :)
With the garage being over water you can easily turn it into a boat shed whenever you decide to build one of those. Just cut a hole in the floor and the back wall :)
For the building stations you should make a lip like area above the windows in the back and have stairs on the side so the stations don’t get in the way and it will hopefully look cool Edit: he said it in the video and now I feel stupid
hi. loving the series. so helpful coming to the game for the first time. I have a suggestion. if you make an alcove for the machinery for the workshop.. you could have the full workspace form your creations and you could then also have a door on the back to a slip to launch boats built in the workshop. I see these IRL all the time in boatyards around my area.. keep up the excellent work
You should make another shop for boats, use a controller so the floor can open up, and the boat falls into the water, and a door could open so you can go out.
I think that terrain painting in game (being able to morph the terrain) or being able to lock parts (meaning you can't accidently delete them) would be nice additions.
Kan for the roof you would use use the Shack Roof tile, you can get them from the random buildings. You can have the outer gaps filled with glass and the middle row filled with the shack roof tiles down the middle, or the other way around your choice its your base.
It would be cool if you had another set of lights built in the floor pointing up to the ceiling with glass over them that was flush to the rest of floor that way the entire workshop was lit
Recommend building a couple extra layers of flooring under the workshop so in case of emergency, etc. your items won’t fall into the ocean. Or maybe you could make a underwater part of the base with windows!
Personally, i would do the glass gor the roof doen the middle sections, alternating with either the corrugated metal or normal metal. Also, the balcony would be a good idea, you can put your bed and storage for all the stuff in Tube 3.
I'd recommend bringing a cookbot into the mix if you have an automatic farm. The burgers made by cookbots fully fill HP, hunger and thirst and there's an all vegetable variant that will be useful if you're farming tomatoes, red beets, potatoes and carrots.
Tip: if you hold sprint and w and then press enter you'll be auto running. Same goes for walking and driving. After you press enter you can press esc to get out of the chat thing and look around.
Damn im so fascinated by this game, even i put it on my wishlist at steam this morning, and got notified the summer sale disc. Also youre amazing builder, like your creation is so surreal
Kan, to reduce understeer with your truck you can have the front wheels not be powered. This should help increase the traction to the front wheels as they won't spin when accelerating.
kan, you should change the direction the metal texture goes by putting it on a lift and welding it in place so it has vertical lines instead of horizontal. it will look more like corrugated siding than it does now.
You should connect the output of the craftbot with the input with pipes, so all the chests are read as a single inventory so if you need to craft something twice you don't have to move it over to the input chest
That workshop shed isn't complete until it has a 15 minute timer near the entrance. On a more serious note: If you move the windows to be above head height, kinda like factory or basement windows, you leave hte walls in reach free for storage/shelves and for hte machines. That way the windos will still let in light while not feeling as pointless.
Add a supervision catwalk around the top, diamond plate for the craft bot and refinery bot and put some lights on the floor so you can see under the vehicle your working on
Maybe have a smart roof where if you want to lift something the roof splits open. Will have to adjust lights. Maybe when the roof opens have light sources that will shine the floor and the underside of the lifted object at the same time when the roof opens.
Kan, you should put the floor of the workshop on a piston and turn the back wall into a door, that way you can lower the floor into the water so you can create boats in your workshop
Moving out all on your own... I'm so proud :)

Great idea
Just like a real mechanic shop, not to mention built in floor lifts, and a floor recess so he doesn't have to lift it
Or the bottom of the walls.
Oh yeah, a few floor lights would be great.
Yeah, there are some wide lights like in the first hut near the crashed ship. Those ones, mounted in the floor, wold look great!

It feels like the game could use with some balance changes. There's something to be said for necessity being the mother of invention, but you also shouldn't have to grind for hours to do 2 minutes of building.
Maybe the could make a lot more expensive recipes, while making a lot more resource drops, so you could make building easier?

Kan: we need a place that has lights so were no out in the dark and outside were we can be to work at night.

Kan fit everything thing for his workshop in one chest. Video game logic.

Kan, try outlining the garage/ workshop door with regular metal. It might look cool. Also, maybe add lights on the floor if you are under a vehicle.
"We should have enough material" The most famous last words used by Scrap Mechanic Survivalist
you should build something like a shelf with a lift in front of it so you have more space for materials and can get easely to them
You should make part of the floor in there and part of the back open up so you can build boats straight on to the water like so he will see
Can't wait to watch this in the future for nostalgia
I would give the workshop a retractable back wall that leads to a small dock so you can build/park aquatic vehicles.
About that truck. I think you should make the turning radius of the front wheels less, because you are dragging the wheels instead of turning them.
Don't forget to paint the glass white so it lets more light through.
You should add a garage door that rolls up as it closes and opens
You should make a sort of platform ring around inside on the second floor. So if you need to work higher on your truck or something you don’t need to use blocks or the jack. Something like a scaffolding

You should add a sideways garage door!
add a tool rack for gas and other tech stuff love the vids
Build a huge platform high in the sky covered in mountable spud guns and connect it to a floor made of sensors to rain down destruction from above!
You should make a floor that opens into the water so you can make submarines, and it would just be cool.

@@noahberger6579 here, doooo it man your welcome.

Hey just a suggestion You should put lights in the floor so when you put your vehicles on the lift it doesn't cast a shadow
You did all that farming and you're still starving.

Personally, i would do the glass gor the roof doen the middle sections, alternating with either the corrugated metal or normal metal. Also, the balcony would be a good idea, you can put your bed and storage for all the stuff in Tube 3.
kan you should make your truck a little longer so you can add a sleeping area behind the seats
Ooooh, noice! make a small floor above your crafting bots and use it as a the stockpile area.
Kan you should start farming woc milk cause it gives you water and food
You could make some space on the back wall when you make a refinery room so you make a door and then the balcony will be easier accessible
The workshop looks great! Good job Kan
That roof is awsome
you should make an A-frame roof by building it with the build grid. Just repeat 1 up and 4 across to get a reasonably smooth diagonal.
I would recommend you to build some floodlights around your base, it'll be cool, use bearings though to adjust the headlights.
You should make an unloading tunnel for the refinery station. That way you can drive through and refine all the materials.
Kan: makes a piston powerd car and says its slow.
Other people: makes a controller car thats much more symple car, "laughs"
Controller cars are awesome, but I personally love piston engines, just something about everything having a mechanical connection to eachother
You should put those holes back in the ground and put lights in them so that you can shine light on bottom of truck when working on ir
I waited 4 hours for
This video to come out and I’m an hour late
RIP
You should put some lights on the floor so the lift doesn't make a nasty shadow in the night.
You should add pistons to move the floor of the workshop
Damn im so fascinated by this game, even i put it on my wishlist at steam this morning, and got notified the summer sale disc. Also youre amazing builder, like your creation is so surreal
You should make the perimeter of the workshop an adjustable scaffold. Then you can also have storage under the floor that comes up with the scaffold.
That shed looks great, tho I liked your original idea of putting a glass roof above the grid rather than in panels in the grid.
Love the truck Could add light to the back of the truck(4), inside(1), under trailer(1 or 2), and behind the trailer (2) but maybe it will lag...
You should connect the output of the craftbot with the input with pipes, so all the chests are read as a single inventory so if you need to craft something twice you don't have to move it over to the input chest
You should put some lights in the walls so your vehicles don't cast a huge shadow (so you can still see the floor)
Awesome build, can’t wait for the next episode.
I think it would look super cool if you made the floor out of glass so you can see the ocean :D
Hey, nice truck
And kan you should make a water work shop/ mechanic station
You should use a tote bot head or a normal horn as a horn for your truck!

I like the light gray lights. The color matches the metal color.
Make it an arched roof like an airplane hangar. It wouldn't need bearings or anything, it would look great, and you'll get more height.
Warehouse is correct with you stacks of stuff. I am minimal just one vehicle but your builds are awesome man
Get the rusted metal from warehouse. It also look fine and can be used for floor at least
Maybe have a smart roof where if you want to lift something the roof splits open. Will have to adjust lights. Maybe when the roof opens have light sources that will shine the floor and the underside of the lifted object at the same time when the roof opens.
For a roof of the workshop maybe make a roof that's sloped at the edge of the building, this would raise the roof a bit & give it even more room
The shack roof would look wonderful with the lights
I'm wachin scrap man I ballistic squid and kans series every day
Kan, you should put the floor of the workshop on a piston and turn the back wall into a door, that way you can lower the floor into the water so you can create boats in your workshop
I feel like the extruded metal blocks would make good pillars to make the base seem more connected to the sea bed.
You should make a custom lift with pistons and a fire house door on the front.
I discovered your chanel yesterday and I LOVE this series!!!
