@@traderboi2662 You need to step out of your settlers mentality, Guyanese deserve better. This road exceeded the deadline by nearly 2 years and it’s still clearly shoddy. You say it’s much better than before which is you admitting that yes, it looks substandard but it’s a nicer substandard, like putting makeup on a pig. Up until recently I found out that we have a road leading up to the artificial island in Vreed En Hoop that is first world standard, the question is why aren’t newly constructed roads being built to the same standard if it can be done with oil money and the right engineers and contractors? It feels like a proper Guyana is being made for expats and not Guyanese who are receiving this shoddy work.
Be thank ful for all the improvements. Constructive criticism is good. Sadly some folks will never appreciate anything done by the PPP. Guyana has been on the RISE. Thank God!
This is about quality not politics. Guyana doesn’t belong to the ppp. Another government will have to come behind and fix all this mediocrity and low quality work. Do you see anyone in Singapore building this substandard infrastructure? This is about wasting billions of taxpayers dollars.
If youre not seeing something wrong with the way this is constructed youre delusional and part of the problem. People welcome development but you can clearly see this is a waste of taxpayers' money. Must be commenting from a basement in Queens and dont have to live thru this crap
Thank you so much for the video. I have to agree with you again Raphael. This is my country and l love Guyana, but OMG let's do better. Whoever designed that needs to be fired. What's with the garbage on the main roads? Regardless, it's moving slowly but surely.
Oh gosh....You meking me laugh....oh gosh that walk way...oh my......shocking to see the collapsed pavement on Mandela Ave.....at night that is a danger...or even in the day....that pavement is a hazard for old people...it is high and low in some areas...wow.....thank you Raphael...
Who owns the lands between the properties to the sidewalks? If it’s the property owners land, they are responsible for the landscaping and should be penalized for over extended bush and shrubs impeding the sidewalks.😜😜😜but local government doesn’t work because they don’t have the capacity to enforce the laws. Guyana needs a cultural reset on ethics and ethical standards.
That twisted bridge is the laugh of the century. Things like these only happen in Guyana. This is so laughable I just can't stop laughing. One cannot believe the reality here. The contractor clearly missed his alignment and just decided to build a twisted bridge. And the government approved it. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 president Ali and his 'deplorables' ppp supporters will see nothing wrong with this. Lmfao 😅
It s like my family want to eat fried rice and instead I find someone who can cook it I decide to pay my friend to do it knowing he cant make fried rice. My friend end up delivering white rice because that's all he knows how to cook. My family is disappointed, we still eat the white rice but its not what we wanted. Bring in the foreigners who can cook fried rice because Guyanese contractors and engineers only know how to cook plain white rice!!!!!
This is a very sad situation that is developing and on going in Guyana. Quality has been thrown out the window by this corrupt, incompetent ppp government. 😢 The irony of it all is that billions of dollars are wasted and Guyana remains poorer. If one goes around the country and see the works this ppp government is doing it's embarrassing. Jamaica, a country that is poorer than us is producing better quality work than what we are delivering to our people. Even those poor African countries are doing better than us. Shame on this nincompoop ppp government. Only God knows how angry I am with them. They don't care what they give to the people. There only interest is to fill the contractors and politicians pockets with dirty money. 😢
The culture is that people keep their own homes clean inside but toss garbage on the streets and in the gutter as if it’s invisible. That’s a cultural problem.
And some Guyanese will continue to view this as perfect road work, what a shame
Much better than what was there before and will only get better.

@@traderboi2662 yes I am very entitled for wanting my birth country to be developed properly
The contractors take no pride in their work they got paid
where all those ramp for the driveway should be built with drain pipes so when the rain falls the water can flow properly
garbage in front of the police outpost, very shameful

Wow, they are giving away money. It's sad to see. Are they contractors certified? What about standards? How are these people getting these jobs?

The contractors do not have qualified engineers and as such, poor and dilapidated end results! Why isn't the final work looked into beforehand?

That’s not poor engineering, that’s a rookie butcher doing road construction. Another example of friends, families, and favorites corruption scheme.

This is not New York. 911 does not work here.
Why not talk about the garbage
The garbage is a cultural problem. It’s similar to the garbage situation in India for the same reasons.
