Hey there! Do you like Easter Eggs, Glitches, and Fun Facts in videogames like Terraria, Banjo-Kazooie, Super Smash Bros, and more? If so, then you've come to the right channel! I love finding and sharing small details in video games, which is why I create my Easter Egg videos. It gives me a greater appreciation for games I already love, and after watching them, perhaps you'll feel the same way.

Super Smash Bros. Melee (大乱闘 スマッシュ ブラザーズ ＤＸ, Great Fray Smash Brothers Deluxe), often shortened to "SSBM" or "Melee", is a 2.5D fighting game for the Nintendo GameCube. It was first released on November 21, 2001 in Japan, shortly after the GameCube's launch, on December 3, 2001 in North America, and finally in May 2002 in Europe and Australia. It is the second game in the series, following Super Smash Bros.
Like its predecessor, Melee features gameplay unique in comparison to that of other fighting games. Characters have simple movesets that lack complicated button inputs and lengthy inescapable combos, instead emphasizing movement and ringouts. The game features many character appearances based on, but not identical to, their appearances in games from the Nintendo 64.

Luigi isn't in the opening because he's an unlockable secret. If you try to look for an unlockable character in the cinematic, such as Mewtwo or Mr. Game & Watch, chances are you won't find him.
What about Pichu or Jigglypuff, both unlockable characters, are shown quite prominently in the cinematic.

(Pichu is right next to Pikachu at 1:08, and Jigglypuff pops into frame to take up 25% of the screen.)
Also, if I wanted to argue semantics, I'd add that technically Ganondorf's fist is shown briefly at 0:35, along with Link and Zelda's.
Either way, in these videos I include either what I consider Easter Eggs, or details I find interesting or humourous, to add to the video. Since I'm making the video, I can choose to do that. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

LRGonzales Jigglypuff is unlockable but in the intro so your statement isn't entirely true as there are unlockable characters in the intro. Also Gannondorf's hand is in the intro so...
That One Kid No One Knows Yes it is because you don't see Falco or Young Link either lol. Seeing Ganondorf's hand doesn't mean anything because they definitely showed Star Wolf and he isn't in Melee.

The language change thing reminds me, that if you change it to Japanese, Fox Mccloud talks in that language too. It's funny to hear him say "come on" in Japanese. Sounds like Ca Ca, which also means poop. XD

Should probably also mention that the Black Van on Onett is the Runaway Five's Van and the Driver is one of the members. The reckless driving on the sign and in-game references how one of the members who drives the van drives very recklessly in Earthbound which is a nice touch to it.

Ending seemed a little similar to Shesez, but enjoyed it nonetheless!

Actually, the line you used in the video for Mewtwo is "私はなぜ ここにいるのか...？", which roughly translates to "Why am I here...?" (in reference to the first movie). The line you translated was instead "私はまけるわけにはいかない！".
Minor correction: The Fox/Falcon on Corneria easter egg is called a "Smash Taunt" easter egg, which is initiated by pressing the taunt button (up on D-Pad) for one frame, or 1/60th of a second.
if you shoot all 186 names in the credits, the announcer will say "WOW, INCREDIBLE!" big thanks to
gamerfreak5665's tas of all star. he shot all the names in the credits.
In the Onette stage, pause when the black van is visible and turn around the camera, it will say something like runaway

i think the barrel says "2L84ME" because, right after you just do a jab attack at it, it rolls of the stage and you try to chase it but you're too late because its already of the stage
2L84ME (Too Late for Me) represents when you are in the cannon, and its too late because you can't escape unless you launch.

Actually Pichu and Jigglypuff are the only unlockables that are in the opening, so Luigi isn't the only one who suffers.

To be totally honest, things like "You can figure out the Underground Maze easily by just zooming out" and "all of Port Town is rendered at once" or "The word Select is behind the character select screen" aren't really easter eggs..they kinda fall under "neat details" or generally just "Boundary Break" territory haha
