Dear friend, I used a DSLR camera back then and I tried to show also the mixing procedure as a lot of times it is neglected. The head is really small so to get closer back then was not possible. I will try to do a new one quicker and with my new movie camera....
OK, seeing as this is your first video.... some feedback.... get the head you're painting closer to the camera lens and in focus! On the audio... stop breathing directly into the microphone... it sounds like wind and is very distracting. Fix these two things and the video is watchable.
Agreed, figure out a way around the mic breathing issue and show some more close-ups in between steps to make it a bit easier to see what's been done. Otherwise they're good videos, thanks and looking forward to seeing more!
is there any way you could make a video painting a WWII US Airborne paratrooper? like step by step. i have vallejo, AK and some Lifecolor paint sets. i have the both US Army CS17 & CS18 and CS07 german set to use
Mike, I have in the schedule to do one with a closer look but you will not see the palette with the mixes. I will just mention them colours and perhaps will write them down.
Dear friend, that is the innovation of my technique! No need for airbrush, even if we use Surface Primer from Vallejo. Shake very well the bottle. Paint three layers of the primer (wait to dry each layer very well). See the video at the start. I showed the bottle of the primer.
I usually shake the paint bottles by hand does that make me a noob also 3 minutes of the video is shaking bottles which got me slightly aroused, also I don't get what I just watched it seemed like you painted the whole head red
Hello, the distance I kept is as you were beside me and making you a private seminar. The head is 1/35, less than 10mm. A couple of years before I had attended some seminars from a just one-meter distance and believe me this video is much better. Even I was near to the artist I could not see clearly where the brush was painting as his head was very close to the piece. In this video, my main target is to show the new technique and how easily can be done. A very important factor that in close up video neglected is the mixing proportions (here you can see clearly how I mixed everything). That is why I put the sound add-on. It is impossible to paint in this scale and talk at the same time. If you hear what I am doing it is very easy to have such a result. Just tried. I have also included where to put the highlights...The most important is to see the consistency of the paints and how I paint than where because even if you where near me you could not see any better. Practice and practice. Follow my instructions and the face will be painted very well!
Just reading some of the comments before I watch, what's called a dead cat will suppress wind noise and a screen between you and the mic will soften sharp pronunciations of speech.

I want to like this so badly, but the subject you're working on is so far from the camera, it's just a dot. I can't see what you're actually doing. I'm sure you'll get better at making these videos with time. It's a learning process. Keep it up.
This would have been a useful video if he had spent less time showing him shaking each and every bottle of paint, instead of actually finishing the tutorial.
I watched this video all the way through and was pretty disappointed. First, your accent makes it very difficult to understand what you are saying. This makes it difficult to understand which paint you are using. While on the subject of paint you obviously are mixing paints and yet you never say which colour you are adding just flash a bottle once in a while. You could have put printed screen notes about which paint you were using as you did with your other instructions. It would have been very helpful had you taken a photo of the head you were painting, a macro shot, and then put where you were highlighting the surfaces. It seems like you put a lot of work into making the video and in the end, it wasn't really helpful except for seeing you use a pin vice to hold the head while painting. I think my only helpful takeaway from your video was seeing you use it. I agree with the others watching you shake paint for prep really isn't needed or just one demonstration bottle. I also agree about the breathing into the mic it is rather annoying. I'm also thinking if you wait for the paint to thoroughly dry between coats it will take a bit longer to paint than twenty minutes. It was a nice effort to share your knowledge but IMHO you held back by not telling what paints you were mixing to make the highlights. Like I said the only take away I got from your video was the pin vice used as a holder for painting.
William, thank you for your comments. I know all these...It was my first try for tutorial. Soon I will do a new one using better equipment. I will take under consideration all your comments!
A magnified view of the head while painting would really help.

Thank you for the feedback! I will try to improve the next one.
Joe Osborne you nailed it also we spent about 8 1/2 minuets watching paint dry!!!!
... Or mix
its not his first video stupid.....

You don´t use imprimation?
What do you mean imprimation? A primer? Yes, three layers of Vallejo Surface Primer with the brush.
sorry,i don´t speak english , yes primer , with brush ?,you don´t use the air-brush for that?
Thank you very much

On ne vois rien !!!
more helpful if you zoomed into the head. Not the best video unless you like classical music.
Can't really see what you're doing...
No thanks bud,I will stay with my oil paints rather than acrylics
To be honest this is the most unprofessional piece of painting, I've never been able to see, imho.

no se ve nada, no se entiende nada. MAL!!
Poor video by this guy! there is way better vids with extreme closeups that show in detail painting step!
