ONE OF THE MOST ELITE FEATS of content ever produced !! Thank you! For some reason there’s a crazy amount of high quality Jordan content saturating the web as of late… I love it.
This video is insane. Gives you a deeper look at the run in the 90s for the first 3 Peat. I will have to watch the 2nd 3 peat later. Scottie deserved a lot more credit. Even John Paxon was crucial in high pressure moments . Amazing how they replaced 91-93 with similar style players, must be Jordan’s vision. Hence Kerr for Paxton, Rodman for Grant etc.
Grant & Rodman are the same because they’re both power fowards? I get what you’re tryin to say there, but they’re the complete opposite of each other. Other than the fact that they’re both great rebounders, Grant was a savage offensive big, and Rodman is one of the best defense PF’s to ever play. He was DPOTY twice with the Pistons. He was only 6’8 or 6’7.5 but he was the biggest hustle player there is. Grant was a hustle player too but it was all mostly on the offensive end. He was a superb offensive rebounder and beast low post scorer. He could hit the low-mid range jumper too, from 15 feet (free throw line) in he sunk just about everything shot. He averaged like 15 pts and 10 rebounds, and most of his rebounds were offensive put-backs.. And Rodman would average like 3 pts but then 15-18 rebounds and 2 steals and a block or 2. They were both hustle playing power fowards but they were very different. One offensive one defensive.
@@ObjectiveEthicsno it wasn’t. I mean it was alright, but it was not even close to a single season MJ had. He showed he couldn’t DO it without MJ and now today he’s acting like he could. The dude is a crybaby and everyone knows it. He should be grateful he was able to ride the MJ gravy train without MJ he is literally nothing. Because of MJ he has 6 titles and he’s on the 75 greatest players of all time list. Without MJ he doesn’t have a single title and he’s not even on that list. Period…. I liked Pippen too; but within the last couple years all the bullshit that’s come out and all the talk he’s been talkin, the dude is delusional.
In this first finals MJ is making Magic-esq passes. This has gotta be the most underrated finals ever, MJ vs Magic both at the peak of their powers and producing some of the most entertaining basketball you’d ever want to see
@@200machine8 I keep hearing ppl say this I don’t understand it. There is no evidence Magic had HIV during the ‘91 finals. There *might* be a slight possibility he did. He didn’t find out he had it till Oct ‘91 when he got his physical. I’m not sure when his last physical b4 that one would have been, but Magic himself said he does not know when or who he contracted it from. But even besides the zero evidence he had it playing in the Finals, even if he did, especially since it would have been extremely early on since he contacted it, it would not mean “he wasn’t 100%” bc that’s not how HIV works. HIV is not an illness, it’s a disease that harms your immune system making you more susceptible to illness. In fact, in the Dream Team documentary they talk about the irony of Larry Bird barely being able to walk bc of his back while Magic reported feeling in the best shape of his life. Literally going head2head w MJ everyday in their scrimmages as captain of the West. Scrimmages reported to be some of the highest level of basketball ever played…in the summer of ‘92..8 months AFTER his HIV diagnosis. If anything, I think Magic pulled a hamstring in game 2 which would have been a way better argument for your “not 100%” claim
This is such clear footage. The best quality/clarity I’ve seen of MJ highlights. I have some of these games and they don’t look this clear. Can you do more old school game footage, like Magic, Bird, Isiah, Dr.J, Barkley?
You have no idea how much im enjoying this trip down memory lane. You need a "Thanks Button" I'd like to donate to your channel. You definitely deserve it. This was done well in high definition. Thank you so much for this. I miss this era of the NBA so much.
You're the man, as a lifelong Bulls fan it brings a smile to my face going back down memory lane. Maaan, I hope you do an Allen Iverson and 90s Orlando Magic with Shaq and Penny version soon.
Jordan did everything that series. He scored the least out of just about all his finals (and still put up 31 pts a game in that ‘91 playoffs & finals) but he averaged 11 assists a game that year in the playoffs/finals. That was his first title, they were hagglin him about a team led by the scoring champion couldn’t win a title, so he wanted to get everybody involved and paxson was his go-to guy. Paxson’s clutch shots down the stretch are the reason they closed that series out in 5 games and it didn’t go longer.
As a Bulls fan in his 50's, I'm very lucky and thankful that I got to see the Bulls win all 6 titles. I just wish that Chicago Stadium wasn't torn down. So many great memories at the old barn.
Chicago Stadium was 66 years old when it was demolished in 1995. It also didn’t meet ADA requirements. If you look closely in those first three Bulls championship video documentaries from 1991-1993, you will notice that the players themselves had to climb flights of stairs to get from the locker room to the court. So it was just as well that the stadium closed. But at least it didn’t mark the end of the Bulls’ championship runs!!!!!!
pretty skilled "plumbers" right there. not all of them had fancy handles yes but beautiful team centric playstyle, defense, passing, mid range, transitions, post ups, handchecks.
U dont need all of your players to have fancy handles...your team only need players who had great fundamentals and specially teamwork....like tim duncan san antonio spurs
Shouts to FreeDawkins for putting this together. If you were alive to whitness this run, you will understand why there hasn't and probably will never will be nothing like what the Bulls did in the 90s. I was 4 when bulls first won in 91, and i can remember watching every game with my Dad on tv. I was 11 when he won his last. I was taking pizza boxes apart and making makeshift signs, rooting for the bulls.
True that! No NBA team has won six titles since the Bulls’ run came to an end in 1998. As superstars, Kobe and Duncan each came close to tying Jordan on the championship front while Shaq, Curry, Lebron, and Wade all fell all the more short in that department. And the 2016 73-9 Warriors blew it big time!
As a born and raised lifelong Chicagoan and Chicago Bulls fan who was age 11-18 during this 6 championships run…….all I can say to you for putting together this amazing 9 hour compilation is THANK YOU! 🙏👊
