You’re such a sweetheart. I don’t know how I missed this video but it was quite the treat to see your enthusiasm for the animals that you’ve never seen before. I think you should move to the states and enjoy yourself! You can fly mom and dad out twice a year or you can fly home occasionally 😉❤
I miss going to this fish store so bad! I can't find anyone near their level. We literally make it a point to make a shopping list if we're going to Long Island just to get everything that we need at one place. Ie medicines, foods, plants, fish, any supplies.
I absolutely love your videos and all the beautiful places you visit. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. May I also add that you are absolutely gorgeous. ❤❤
I grew up on Lake Macquarie and the lake has parrot fish, puffer fish and so many species of salt water its unbelievable, the Swansea chanel that connects thelake is like diving on the barrier reef its so beautiful.
Note about axolotls for anyone reading they're actually a lot easier to keep them people make out as long as they're kept cold enough. As long as they aren't directly frozen it pretty much can't get too cold for them 😂 Even where I live in the North of England I keep mine in a filter less tub outside year round and even when a thick layer of ice is covering the water I'll still see them swimming about hunting down small invertebrates in the water (albeit very slowly😅) If you live somewhere with more of a temperate climate but can't afford a chiller or consistently Aircon room then you can keep them in a tub/pond (or a tank depending on how much it freezes) in a shady spot and they'll do well, just keep them in the shade unless you have very deep water as if they're in full sun they might over heat in the summer. Most of the illnesses they get is from being too warm (a lot of people keep them at 18c which is fine but the upper limit of their tolerance range). Being too warm stresses them out making them more likely to get ill in general plus then if the water isn't 100% perfect or has a sudden change in pH when at these temps then because they're too warm or at the upper limit if their range they then are more likely to get sick and struggle to recover. Kept outside and the only maintenance I give mine is thinning out the plants when needed and feeding them once every week or two (cause they have plenty of food living in the tub). If they didn't have the food available then I'd feed them 2-3 times a week. Rain and the over flow do the water changes for me and the plants maintain the quality between the time it rains enough to overflow. When I had them in a tank in a shed then it was just plants, a little Fluval U2 filter cleaned out once every few months and just water top ups not even needing water changes. Long and short is super easy and long lived to keep as long as they're cold enough (I'd recommend maintaining them at 16c or below)
Great video and the aquarium store is a 💎gem! It's crazy how different countries' laws can make fish so expesive,or cheap depending on where you live 👍❤🇬🇧
Another great one Kaity, huge variety. Guineapigs are food here in Peru, called cuy, spatchcocked or roasted for special occasions, festivals etc. Seen Arapaimas in the wild from a boat, huge, come out the water like dolphins in Amazonian lakes, farmed here for food along with pacu & dcales used for crsftwork, curtain doorway covers etc. Again those freshwater rays we try to avoid in the rainforest, nasty stings, well camouflaged! Still can't believe current prices in aquarium stores 😮
Thank you so much 😊🙏 I used to keep guinea pigs, and I remember when mum and dad visited Peru on a holiday they were shocked to see them being sold as food there 🤣
I used to visit that shop when I lived on Long Island. That pea puffer price in AU is crazy. I can get them for $5. I believe they had a ring tailed lemur when I visited the store in the 1980s.
The planted Archer display is so perfect for the size and I have never been a fan of cylinders until seeing this awesome video !!! For the amount of content you have been showing from the states that is a great reason for a return visit? Maybe you could do the lower states , Georgia would be the best state for starting or ending depending on how much time you're planning, Tennessee is a blast with Nashville, 7 Ports aquarium store which is Sean Pecktec's LFS ( he would be the coolest person to have as one of your hosts , plus you are the same age range as his daughter) then Houston and the best aquarium brothers Mike and Jeff Senski and what better than the best state to start or end round 2 with California and I don't think you can get Oregon and Washington in ...If you have any interest in coming back the last three might just be a better vacation for what you , and seeing California's coastal cities where you have access to seeing the Pacific ocean to me is a feeling that would make anyone happy 😊
That was a fun tour. Certainly, some of those exotic animal species(toucans, tree frogs, chameleons, amazonian puffers, angel fish, discuss, etc.) live in the Amazon rainforest. Chinchillas are from South American highlands, so here in Peru, we are fortunate to travel to the jungle, buy and carry some exotic fish species with not really many regulations on the way to Lima(coastline) with lower prices even compared to America. I didn't imagine import laws were like that in Australia. I think the government must have formulated those laws to protect the ecosystem from foreign species that could produce dangerous changes. I believe it should be similar in my country because the ecosystem is rich, complex, and fragile as well, but not really many people here are interested in protecting it. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video. You're doing fantastic content. Greetings and blessings from Peru, and good luck with your future projects!!!🤞!!!
Pacman frogs come from over the hill here - Tambopata rainforest, Peru. Seen them in the wild, all mouth, come in green & brown, officially called Amazonian or Suriname horned frogs. Some frog & toad camouflage needs to be seen to be believed, like the leaf mimics. We get other tree frogs, just not the red-eyed, that comes from Central America & the very north of South America. Here in Peru we find quite a few species of "monkey frogs", similar in shape to the red-eyed, they get quite large, but rarely come down from the canopy, so trickybto see unless you climb up 20 to 40 metres into the trees. We nomally find the smaller tree and poison dart frogs on night walks.
It's funny they keep hedgehogs as pets in the u.s. Out here they live in our garden. A few years ago i was sitting outside on a warm summer evening, when i saw one coming towards me. He struggled a bit to get on to the 30cm higher up pateo. He stopped in front of my feet and started sniffing them while making these funny noises. After a few minutes he seemed to realize he was sniffing a human and quickley ran of😂😂 sadly they often end up as roadkill
You'll soon get all your flight money and expenses back by the time all your videos have been put out haha...Did you ever get to Alma Park Zoo before it was shut down? I would have thought it wasn't too much of a trek for you where you are
I can’t believe this place is still around after getting caught selling illegal pets. They were even in the news paper a couple of years ago. I’m pretty sure the guy in the video was the one illegally collecting fish.
That Zebra Shark needs a bigger home Imagine being trapped in a bland, small tank like that daily. I really wish stores would stop selling pets to make money. Prairie dogs are not for everybody, in the store doesn't seem like they're making it known to everybody how much work they really are. Dont encourage store who support breeders.
I grew up on Long Island and I even lived right down the road from Country Critters.
How cool!! You grew up in a beautiful area then 😊
I am a big fan of making miniponds. They are such a fun way to bring the hobby outside and be creative. I like your minipond setup. Good job. 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much!!! 😊🙏🏼🙏🏼

This guy is as enthusiastic as a wet sock lolol
I've lived in New York for 20 years and have never heard of this wonderful store! Thanks Kaity! I must visit this store!
Fantastic store, I believe you loved taking this trip.
I miss going to this fish store so bad! I can't find anyone near their level.

So cool to hit my algorithm!!! I'm local and go to CC all the time, great store!!!
When I lived on Long Island, I would go here often.
Amazing store. It felt endless. Thanks for sharing. 😍👌💯✌️
Thanks Kaity... there is nothing like this type of super fish store with so many exotic selections in Toronto, Canada.
Wow what a prices for pea puffers! Here in The Netherlands a pea puffer (€3,-) is cheaper then a guppy (€3,50)
Wow! So awesome! I live about 15 minutes from this store, one of favorites!
Ican stay the whole day on that place…..Wow!
the best !
I absolutely love your videos and all the beautiful places you visit. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. May I also add that you are absolutely gorgeous. ❤❤
You're the best when it comes to aquarium tours love it
Best place you have gone to yet! frontosa was cool but striped for me!
used to shop there all the time when i lived on long island
That's awesome 😊 it's such a great store!

Wow !!! i'm going to go there today !!! I'm from LI and have never been there , can't wait to go ! What a find !!!
That is SO cool you can visit there today!! 🤣 I'm so jealous! I'm sure you'll have a blast 🦎🐟🦜
I'm glad the price of pea puffers has plummeted in the last 6 months. They're the coolest fish
Yes, they are much cheaper now!!

Dzień dobry , kolejny super odcinek a oglądam wszystkie z Polski 😊
Good morning!! That's so awesome watching from so far away 😄 I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Katy!! Thanks so much! I had no idea that so many animals/fish are not allowed to be kept in Australia! So strict!😕
Wow beautiful
Hello from INDONESIA ❤
Hello!! 👋
Being from Australia, have you ever been to the Great Barrier Reef ? That’s one of my bucket list
Ah, my daily fish fix has been fulfilled. 😅 no fish store for me today 🤣

Remember your big lobster posture
I'm working on it 😂

1:35 That just looks sad. Shark in a shoebox :(
And did I hear you correctly? You're not allowed to have pet rabbits where you live?
i wanted see albino petricola worth 600
That Zebra Shark needs a bigger home
Imagine being trapped in a bland, small tank like that daily.

I don't like it when the fish are not 100% natural, if you know what I mean.
They are beautiful as is... no need to make them glow.
What no Discus? What a let down. 😭
@10min $35 for a single stick of driftwood!???
250 for pea puffer is a scam 😂
15:40 (Parapima) worlds largest freshwater fish. its wrong. The beluga sturgeon in Russia is the largest freshwater fish in the world.
