Mr. Munroe. Thank you so much for recognizing & enthusiastically "Getting them" immediately. You are a pleasure to watch. :) I am a 48 year DIE HARD RUSH FANATIC. I'm 61. My girlfriend gave me their debut album one month after its US release in June 1974. I was instantly BLOWN AWAY. They have been my favorite band since the instant that needle hit the vinyl. Saw them twice in 1977 & 1980. The '77 show I was front row center with arms on the stage. There were no stage barricades in the 70's. All the arena shows were General Admission. You arrive hours early and run for your life when the doors open. I was 16. To this day the best concert I have ever seen and I have been to 100's of shows in 52 years. Keep up the energy Mr. Monroe.
Neal Peart, your favorite drummers favorite drummer, he wrote all the lyrics, legend is a severe understatement. Alex is a highly underrated guitar player, Geddy Lee plays bass and keyboards at the same time via special foot pedals, this is 3 guys doing all this, live in concert they play for 3 hours, have no other musicians on stage, no horns, no back up singers, just 3 guys, they were beyond amazing. Now go check out the first 10 minutes anyway of 2112, then have a listen to Limelight, Spirit of Radio, there's a lot to cover so just listen to everyone elses suggestions on here.
A lot of support for YYZ live in Rio. Gets my vote too. A bit of an intro: YYZ is the airport code for Rush's home airport of Toronto. The tune begins with an odd rhythmic pattern that is Morse code for YYZ. It's an instrumental, and one of the kicks of the live performance in Rio is hearing a positively massive crowd singing along with one of the main riffs. It's a blast.
Try anthem fly by night bytor and the snow dog, Xanadu A Farwell to kings hemispheres, big money lock and key turn the page, Animate, driven ,half the world, working them angels, clock work angels, mission, marathon u could go on and on and on ANY RUSH IS GOOD RUSH LOL
This was at Le Studio in Quebec, Canada where a number of other Canadian bands recorded besides Rush. YYZ live in Rio Working man live in Cleveland Cheers
La Villa Strangiato, YYZ, Limelight, Red Barchetta, Freewill, Spirit of the Radio, so many great ones! You have a great journey ahead!! Blessings to everyone
WHAT!!! Never even heard of RUSH? That's really incredible to not have any idea of what this band accomplished in 40 plus years of great music. My suggestion is to write down the nearly 200 songs that RUSH wrote and recorded, close your eyes, drop a finger onto any song on the list, listen to it and prepare to be amazed! 😉☮
I was 10 when this album came out and it rocked my world. I liked the stones and zepplin, but this album totally blew me away. 40 years later I still love it.
Only the Rolling Stones and Beatles have more Gold and Platinum-selling albums than RUSH- not bad for 3 down to earth virtuosos from Ontario, Canada. More please.
Munroe! You got right on it! Glad you're feeling it. I suggest you do Xanadu Exit Stage Left next. It is a very different sound Rush off their 1977 album A Farewell to Kings (Tom Sawyer 1981 - Moving Pictures). Once you hear and see Xanadu, you will know that anything is possible with Rush and to expect the unexpected. Rush always progressed in style and pushed the envelope of what music could do and where it could be. Xandau is a journey for the ears and mind. Enjoy!! (liked and subscribed)
First time I've seen your reactions, but I liked it! US Army Band sang "Time Stands Still" in tribute to Neil after he passed. Ohio State also did a 1/2 time show tribute to him. No one like them. YYZ in Rio, Working Man (in Cleveland), Xanadu, and you gotta do La Villa Strangiato (it's instrumental). To start with.
I always recommend having the lyrics to Rush songs available unless you like watching new movies on an old black and white TV? 😂 You are missing out on half the greatness.
“Say, Tom, let me whitewash a little.” Tom considered, was about to consent; but he altered his mind: “No - no - I reckon it wouldn’t hardly do, Ben. You see, Aunt Polly’s awful particular about this fence - right here on the street, you know - but if it was the back fence I wouldn’t mind and she wouldn’t. Yes, she’s awful particular about this fence; it’s got to be done very careful; I reckon there ain’t one boy in a thousand, maybe two thousand, that can do it the way it’s got to be done.” “No - is that so? Oh come, now - lemme, just try. Only just a little - I’d let you, if you was me, Tom.” --gets the suckers to whitewash the fence ! also RUSH!
Check out Working Man live from Cleveland, your mind will be blown. Keep up the Rush reactions and your subscribers will go way up, us fans are loyal.🔥🤘🏻🎧
@@clockworkangel4026 🤭 They do bring me joy! Ok, 🙄 Im retired & it gives me something to do besides 🤣 throw my back out playing Beat Saber in Oculus VR. 🤔 I also fight Star Wars Space Pirates in VR 😒 but I'm no Mandolorian! 😂 I can barely get off the ground. 😉 #RetiredLife 😊🐰
@@cityhonors1 I've still got a few years til retirement, but have hobbies enough to keep me busy when I do. 😁 My next 'flight of fancy' is bass lessons. I should be starting next week as long as my bass delivery isn't delayed. 🎸
Keep up the Rush brother. Rush fans are LOYAL and I think you are discovering why. Truly a unique band.
Yea they’re dope
@@MunroesCorner You know it. I've been listening to them for 42 years. I'm 60.
Rush and Kansas are my favorite bands!
You gotta do the camera eye man. Truly enjoy your enthusiasm.
Probably the best 3-piece rock band of all time. Other great 3-piece rock bands would say the same thing. Nobody would say no it’s us not Rush
the singer, Geddy Lee, is also the bassist and play the keyboards. Amazing full sound comes out of a 3 piece band.

🥰 How much do I adore that Rush gave you 'Stank Face'! 😏 I've had Rush Stank Face for 4 Decades! 😂 Longer if you count Cinema Strangiato! 😁🐰

apologies for only one thumbs up
Yessss
My favorite!
"Spirit of radio" is a good one too. Anything from Rush is good actually. Good reaction dude, keep em comin.!👍
This song still gives me chills after 40 years. Epic song from an epic album by an EPIC band. Nice pick Marcus.
One way to tell a reactor isn't screwing around: real wired cans on the ears, no crappy Bluetooth ear buds. Rock on me brutha! Subbed for more.
Comedian Bill Burr - who plays drums BTW - once referred to earbuds as "bitch buds."
You're Kool! 😊😊👍 Greetings from Brazil🇧🇷
Awesome pick!!❤❤❤👏👏👏❤❤❤
My man had stank-face the whole time 🤣🤣🤣
always hopeful, yet discontent
he knows changes aren't permanent
but change is
I saw them live in Biloxi. Crazy light show.
Your review is excellent. Free spirit is the gist of the song! You will like Limelight or Subdivisions.
He is an excellent reactor for breaking down lyrics and music can't wait for all the rest of the videos we will be given 😀
Thank you. I'll check those out
So great!
tnks from brazil rush is domain
Lovin' it from Ottawa o🍁🍁
Rush FTW
Working Man (Live in Cleveland) or YYZ (Live in RIO). There is a ton more to do, but those two are next!
Subbed because i love Rush to give ya a Rush!!
Ayyyeee, turn up!
Awwwe! Now you have to do summer of 69 cuz you teased me 😆
Canadian's power by cold and snow...
Loving your reactions to Rush! They have a deep rabbit hole of music to discover for sure. Try Red Barchetta, Limelight, and Subdivisions.
Awesome bro. Keep er up
New sub here!!! Awesome reaction. I can see you rockin' in a Rush tee, some time soon!!
You caught a subscription
And on the 8th day, God gave us Rush.
This Rabbit Hole is deep, but life changing. YYZ from Rush in Rio would be a good next step!
✌️☝️☝️✌️
Funny you should mention free-spirit because 2 of their other coolest songs are "Freewill" and "Spirit of Radio"

You have to listen to Limelight. Quite possibly the most «perfect» song ever made. Structure, topic, transitions, solo, you name it, it has it all.
Also "Freewill" another song that is nearly perfect.
3 Dudes.... that's all... Just three!
Personal recommendation is RUSH ' 2112 but it is almost thirty minutes long , but well worth it
🙋🏿♀️ I 2nd Xanadu (E.S L.) 🤗 but 'YYZ' Live in Rio or 'Working Man' Live in Cleveland works too! 😁🐰

Rush and Hmack on the same channel 👌💥
After Rush We definitely gotta go down the Audioslave rabbit hole 🔥🔥🔥
May I suggest: 2112 & The Necromancer off of Caress of Steel
Yo Yo Yo get jiggy wit those cans! L means left! Woo woo!
First side of 2112.
Play it
Lyrics on.
Q: 🤔 What did Neil say to the panicked 🎛️ Drum Machine?
A: 🥁 Don't worry, I got these Drum Rolls buddy! 😔 RIP Professor 🥰🐰
Neil Peart- who drum machines want to be when they grow up! 😁
@@clockworkangel4026 😂🤣😂🐰
They do alot of 5 4 beats and 7/8 or combination of both
Man, you high as .... But you found the grove. All good😜
Try Xanadue by Rush , or 2112, Anthem ,
Can i make a request
The Rush rabbit has grabbed you and pulled you into the hole. Welcome to the madness.

You do know that the drummer is the songwriter right? Neal Peart was baddass!!

Try this Rush song out. There's a surprise in the middle I think you'll like. 😉. It's called Roll the Bones

Too early in his fandom for Roll the Bones. Agree he'll be shocked...but you gotta nurse that shock with their early work.

Rush ~Xanadu~ Exit Stage Left 1981. DON'T react to the official music video. React to the video in the first sentence.
You dont understand the song lol unreal , ready the book bro .. lmfao
This song belongs in the Rush beginners pack along with other OVERRATED songs like Subdivisions and XANADU….
