I just love that our sources of True Damage are: 2 great warriors of inredible heritage; some mysterious entity that Mon3tr is; the Lord of Fiends arts; the power of a Seaborn god; Młynar's contemptuous gaze; a really good water canon; Cliffheart's skills with a rope.

This Video Genuinely put a smile on my face. Siege and Nearl were my first 6 & 5 stars that I got at the start of the game, and have been mainstays on my team since. I already have a max pot Nearl Alter and I cant wait to get Siege
Not really because if the module has arts related buff (you know arts fighter) she gain little to no effect because all of her skill is true dmg meanwhile Surtr gonna melt enemy even more (& Viviana still crying in her grave).
The biggest reason viva can deal more dmg is bc unlike nearl She has no "need to be blocked" restriction on the true dmg She Just needs them to be on her 8 surrounding tiles and she can hit em with true fat dmg

Nearl will always be special because she's the design that got me to play the game in the first place. It took a few months to get her defender version, and about a year to get the alter by sparking on a limited banner, but I still got her.
A good showcase to separate the uses for Vina & Nearl. I tend to use Nearl more for her S2 these days, but thanks to this I’m reminded that her S3 could still hit ridiculously hard.
The main crime HG commited against Nearl is that S3 true damage works only when she's (or her sun) blocks an enemy. And that they couldn't change anymore.
i'd be interested in seeing how they compare defensively, since nearlter's def buff is quite nice but vina only has a one-time tremble (but also meat shields)
Nearl has higher def when s3 is active, but Siege has 20% physical damage reduction to all allies (including herself), and higher base def, so off skill she should be better, especially since arts guards have some initial res as well +tremble surely helps as long as she can kill stuff in that 4 second timeframe or deal enough damage to almost kill them anyways, +since Siege relies on allies blocking enemies in her s3 (Lions are there to fill the gap mostly), you can just place defender near her to take hits in her stead and she won't lose true damage All in all Nearl is kinda can't compete here sadly, not only arts guards are decently tanky by default, you can also just use others as a meatshield for Siege

My only real gripe with NTR S3 is the targeting when multiple enemies are present, which Vina much improves. Dmg can always be supplemented, buffed, etc.
As a Ling user, I agree lol Attempt to use her properly to cover lanes with summons and now I don't have deployment slots left, she eats one for herself then 7 for her dragons lol
VFX aside, the SFX so underwhelming, just give her typical anime sword swing swing or something man, the S3 SFX is like whipping wet noodle sound instead.
If by SFX you mean a jungle of lions awkwardly not making any noise, then sure, I agree. But if you're talking about the sword SFX, I strongly disagree. Go find a bastard sword, any light single-handed sword, or even just grab a thin stick and swing it around. Do you hear how it sounds? Notice how the sound changes depending on how lightly or forcefully you swing it (Skill 1), or when you wind it from behind to the front (Skill 2), or when you swing it as wide as you can (Skill 3). Does anyone else find it interesting that the SFX designers paid attention to those details? So yeah, I think the SFX lowkey kind of nailed it in terms of trying to achieve realism. But no, this is a fantasy anime game, so everything has to be way more exaggerated for the sake of... entertainment, I guess? I don’t know. Anime stock noises never amuse me personally, they just piss me off.

I'll take example from the 2 nearl family sisters : both nearly and blemi have this same peep squeak SFX even in their basic attack (Mylnar S2 too) they're have very distinct SFX that makes them memorable, their S3 even more distinct which each other (NtRk S3 sfx damn insane). Good SFX carries weigh and impact to the swing, example: SA and Mylnar (both scwing scwing type yet both of them are distinct with each other giving them different flavours to it), Surtr S3 which each thrust to the ground conjuring Lava/fire attack, you felt the impact of these attacks just by the SFX alone. Hell even Melantha have a legit crisp sword slashing SFX compared to this. No need to be like an anime like shit SFX, see the dev are capable of making good SFX like Mudrock S2 Spin, now take that and make it realistic sound of hammer and imagine it, would it be better and cooler than the sound of spinning diesel engine from hell ? And Rosmontis, with whatever the hell that insanely scary SFX she have on S3 while you pounding enemies to death with that big Device. They're capable to make things better and choose a basic ass generic sound for someone with great power/status like Vina/siege rn, it's just disappointing. For the Lion design, oh boy, even IS4 ending 4 lion enemies are better designed than these spirits lion, idk man maybe because the murky colour ? Making it "eh, okay".
Well, even if Nearl and Kal'tsit S3 got powercreept, it doesn't matter at all can still use and are useful even if there's another or better option though.
I don't think you can even say Kal S3 got powercrept yet though, because Mon3ter still has an unconditional 3 block, beefed up defensive stats, and priority healing. Vina might be more powerful, but they have different functionality (especially off skill)
Mon3tr can solo kill Patriot because it doesn't need to block him. Plus it's a true damage on fast redeploy. That's like two of NTR skills bundled in one. Vina could never have the presence and cycling
As a NTRK simp not surprised at all i think i said this more than enough victoria is a upgrade of NTRK in terms of true dmg but theres still pros/cons(well ntrk S3 have tons of cons if u dont know what ur doing tbh) form what i hear victoria play like mylner anyway NTRK is used for her heledrop S2 so her S3 being powercreep this hard is not problem for me tbh i will say its welcome bcause its +1 to my knight niche so imma use both with degen 😂
Personally, I prefer Siege/Vina over Nearlter mainly cause Vina isn't limited like Nearlter (Plus, I'm still still salty about not getting her in the Near Light banner)
So basically, Nearl has hellidrop while Siege has multi targeting. Honestly, they are both extremely good on their own fields...i still want Siege more because she holds a special place for me...Her vanguard version helped me out quite a lot all the way until i got some others like Cantabille, Flametail and Saga...which was pretty late tbh

To be fair, my NTR knight mostly uses Helidrop S2 (Plus Platinum/blemishin/Mlynar to negate the drawback), so her main conpetition is probably Kal'tsit
S3 just got yeeted straight up, Vina straight up hits multiple enemies no questions asked as long as the Gawain army stands and blocks Oh well at least Nearl still has the S2, 0 deployment slot moment always has its uses, shields are also useful sometimes

NTR is a lone warrior who can't quite live up to her reputation, because she's a single block dreadnought rather than a centurion (where her kit would shine so much brighter). Vina meanwhile has the same single block, but gets around that due to how much better her S3 is at both expanding her effective attack range, & improving her blocking ability via her summons.
NTRk still had its usage with s1 afk and s2 helidrop robot. Moreover although she lose to vina, her s3 still hit really hard so its not entirely a loss.
For me, i just have no word for sad vivi in corner. Not only specific position to use, also dps come out is too much poorly. I still can't imagine how vivi can comeback even when she got module :(

Salter being a True fighter is very evident in the hell stage Patriot bc it shows that enemies dont need to be blocked to recieve true dmg unlike Ntr requiring to be blocked by herself or the roadblock that she drops to recieve true dmg
With the way I was using Nearlter, taking advantage of the stun and/or burst of true damage on activation and better skill cycle which is not featured in this video at all. I think I'll still take Nearl quiet a lot
Tbh its skill related, her kit isnt flawed like exealt where he had so generation and downtime issues that hindered him, sieges kit is alr fine, its just not enough to be game breaking or top meta wich is pretty good anyway

The powercreep is crazy. At least Nearl still has her S2. But she has to compete with Skadi who is a pseudo fast-redeploy. Most of the time Surtr, Texas or Yato alter are better for assassinating elites. I guess Nearlter is kinda useless now, too bad, she's a limited operator.
Quite honestly, both is mid that i'd still prefer mont3r. "B-but mont3r only deals 34k-ish true damage??" mont3r only has 15sp cost while vina has around 50sp for 70k-ish true dmg on optimal condition. Heck, i'd prefer mont3r's FRD capability more than stationary ops like nearl & vina
Patriot is the clearest showcase of Nearl’s s3 flaw. She needs to block her target to deal True damage, but there are many enemies where blocking might just equate to a death sentence. Vina’s S3 is a much more improve version of Nearl’s S3 solely due to how much easier it is for Vina to apply her True Damage compared to Nearl’s.
If you want Wis'Adel, pull for her, she is Lim. Vina Victoria is Perm., so she will likely spook you on future banners so you can wait a little more for her

She can attack any enemies blocked by surrouding allies. Meaning, if you plop saria in front of or behind her, Vina can still shred them on her S3. Yes, this means ayerscrape S2. Also, her attack range expand into the 8 tiles square, any unblocked enemies in that range will also get shredded. Ayerscrape S2 + nearl alter S3 + range expansion, lmao.

Bloodknight didn't even get affected by Ela's fragile. He's in invincible state. You can clearly see that there's no fragile icon above his head. Now you know why there's no single person here calling out on that other than you.
I use nearl for the free slot helidrop. She's still safe in my book.

Keep in mind Vina doesn't need to actually block for her true dmg (see patriot), which means her own survivability is much less relevant

Salter being a True fighter is very evident in the hell stage Patriot bc it shows that enemies dont need to be blocked to recieve true dmg unlike Ntr requiring to be blocked by herself or the roadblock that she drops to recieve true dmg
With the way I was using Nearlter, taking advantage of the stun and/or burst of true damage on activation and better skill cycle which is not featured in this video at all. I think I'll still take Nearl quiet a lot

Tbh its skill related, her kit isnt flawed like exealt where he had so generation and downtime issues that hindered him, sieges kit is alr fine, its just not enough to be game breaking or top meta wich is pretty good anyway

Siege has the same problem especially if you can't get a bunch of allies around her for the extra damage so making it so she needs less allies around or she gets more attack per allies or more attack speed per allies would be a huge boost
@@darkomihajlovski3135 What numbers were too low? His s3 was one of the strongest physical damage dealing skills even without the module, the module improved his off skill sustain and sp battery reliability, his actual damage was already high and werent improved as much
@@kyarumomochi5146 his talent proc chance was too low making his skill down time too long and killing enemies off skill unreabel the increase to the proc chance the 300 def ignore and good stats increased made him way better on and off skill
Near is amazing for helidrop and if you want a boss killer just use Surtr
The powercreep is crazy. At least Nearl still has her S2. But she has to compete with Skadi who is a pseudo fast-redeploy. Most of the time Surtr, Texas or Yato alter are better for assassinating elites. I guess Nearlter is kinda useless now, too bad, she's a limited operator.

I wonder how arts guard module going to be. Vina is quite different from other arts guard. A res shred module for example would hardly benefit her.
Quite honestly, both is mid that i'd still prefer mont3r.

Patriot is the clearest showcase of Nearl’s s3 flaw.
She needs to block her target to deal True damage, but there are many enemies where blocking might just equate to a death sentence.
Vina’s S3 is a much more improve version of Nearl’s S3 solely due to how much easier it is for Vina to apply her True Damage compared to Nearl’s.
I would like to point out that instead of thinking about who is better... Why not using both? 2 great sources of True damage, in my opinion

@@vanzeralltheway8638 This is wrong, she has no range expansion. Her s3 only attack blocked enemies 8 tiles around her AND her basic range (a.k.a the 1 tile in front of her and her own tile). If an enemy that can't be blocked dont't enter her basic range she won't attack them.

Bloodknight didn't even get affected by Ela's fragile. He's in invincible state. You can clearly see that there's no fragile icon above his head. Now you know why there's no single person here calling out on that other than you.
