Hi Johnathon, what did your pro think about your clubs, did he say they are good enough or try to encourage you to get different clubs, and are they still going well?
Hi Alex, thank you for the great video. Can’t wait until tomorrow. I think more experienced golfers (or brand name followers) can turn their nose up at sets like these by thinking they don’t actually want to be seen on course with a “beginners” set. Where perhaps these are more suitable as they are more forgiving. Plus, as you haven’t spent a lot of money on them then if they don’t hold up to the rest of time and you do actually like them then you can refresh and get another brand new set and still have more coin left over…. 👍😎🇦🇺
I think club sets are perfect for beginner golfers. I purchased a cheap set of top flight clubs to try out the game of golf and see if i like it. The driver was very cheap and had a fake counter weight that flew off second hit. The irons were excellent though and probably made up 90% of the value. Hybrids were decent. Putter…well it was a putter. I upgraded the driver immediately and used the rest of the clubs for a while. Loved them. Anyone who already knows the game though, i would recommend second hand name brand though if they are on a budget
Thanks Alex that’s very interesting. As an 18 handicap golfer I see so many average golfers spending a lot of money on kit when this video confirms my thinking that they would be better buying a somewhat cheaper set of clubs whilst investing the rest of the budget in lessons and learning to play the game properly rather than expecting expensive equipment to do it for them
I’m just getting started into golf as I was always a fisherman and have been looking at this set for myself as I’m currently playing few games sharing clubs with my dad which is great to play with his Taylor made but I certainly think this set will be a good start mark for me to get the hang of everything with for a year or 2 before going bigger and better
Started playing about 9 months ago. My first set was a Spalding Molitor set I picked up for about 250 USD. The finish on the set wasn't nearly as clean and nice looking as those RX2s, but overall it was a solid set (I actually really love the putter). Just swapped out the irons for ones with graphite shafts because the feedback on bad hits with the starter set (steel shafts) was too harsh on my hands and wrists. I'll keep building everything up the more I work on my game and my swing. Tempted to go on the hunt for a new driver because I'm not a fan of the starter one, but I wanna get my slice a little more under control before any sort of fitting.
Ive heard of these but never kbown much about them. Great value for money for anyone wanting to start up or change their set. Great vid alex. Great route to go down product testing 👏👏
Hi great video. I'm new to Golf and bought this exact package. They perform brilliant for me giving me lots of confidence. My distance control with the irons and wedges are excellent, I don't find the driver goes very far but its probably my lack of skill more than anything. I'd recommend these for beginners, transformed my game after trading up from my £15 marketplace set which I really struggled with. Thanks for reviewing them 👍
Great review Alex. I just love budget golf reviews. There are some great companies out there that really produce some fantastic golf equipment that don't break the bank .I'm looking forward to your next video
I've had this set for about 7 months now, got me back into golf. I've since upgraded to Ping Driver and Hybrid, and honestly, difference is night and day. Ping so much better. However, I just got a set of Mizuno 919 hot metals, and I was expecting a massive jump in feel and performance over the Rife set... And after an hour striking them and comparing them, I wasn't blown away by the Mizunos. The feel wasn't that different, distances very similar so lofts must be similar (can't find spec for the RX2's). The biggest difference I saw on the Garmin R10 was spin.. and you can't trust it too much on a cheap(ish) launch monitor. In summary, I have a lot more respect for the Rife irons now. I can assume the Mizunos are well made being such a big brand in Golf, and the RX2's hold their own. 👍 Good job Rife. Anyone else upgraded and found a new respect for the Rife's?? 🙂
Hi Alex! I am not sure if these are the same rife product that has a putter with a round cylinder looking tube(s) on the backside and they were on the market 4 or 5 years ago and i really loved the putter. They were expensive then so i picked a set of used top flight clubs instead. I will check them out this spring when they have a demo day at one of our local stores. I do not mind what other players think as long as i can shoot less then 80 everytime i played. Thanks so much for sharing!🙏👌👍👍👏👏👏
I was going to say isn't that what Josh uses because you won't get Cobra to set him up😂. Great review and thank you for not going in with a negative attitude before you even hit them like some others do
I have been thinking about buying a Pine Meadow set. I have a fairway wood and could of hybrids that look nice and are pretty consistent for me. Well they are all consistent as they can be for someone who rarely hits the ball the same way twice. I was worried about the 6 and 7 hybrid and the height of them but both have been pretty good to me
Hi Alex I’m toying with chucking in my high irons and getting some more hybrids 🤔🤔🤔 I’ve got a Titleist 816 h2 and can hit that on a good strike 200/210 but my 4 iron same loft on average about 170🙈🙈🙈 what should o do!??
Hi Alex, what is more forgiving, cavity back or hollow body irons.? I now live in Thailand and my choices are limited. I am using Mizuno EZ clubs but I am looking at Inesis 500 clubs or Takomo 101 irons. The Inesis clubs are less expensive and more easily available. Please help me.
I am retired and cant afford the price of clubs .I have been using G### Golf and have had clubs put together for a long time In expensive and they preform great for a 71 Year old man.Idid not know if I could use the golf club makers name
Golf's biggest con. The golf clubs you use would really only make less than a 10% difference in your game. The only problem with package sets come from the pw,sw Which I find to be awful. The rest of the clubs will do a great job.
2 years old and this is the review i needed of these. Excellent.
I have this set and invested the rest of my budget on lessons... I love this set

Hi Marcus I totally agree!!! They are super forgiving and a lot more affordable

Nice to see some quality showing up in budget sets. Great video Alex. Looking forward to tomorrow for more. Thank you.
Thank you blaze!! It’s a great one tomorrow
This is CRAZY!! I’m testing a package set! It as really opened my eyes 👀

I'm considering getting this set as I'm just getting back into golf after 20 years

I’m with you luke. I bought set of the rifes. I couldn’t fault the irons so kept them. Only changed my hybrids
My first set was a Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear package set. $250.00. Played great.
Love that dave!! Do you still have them?
Great video. It would be great to see Brosnan Eureka S8 tested by SB capable😊
Looking forward to tomorrow. Think I could use these but the cost of getting them here to Thailand maybe too much.

Iv shares this with Josh 🤣🤣🤣
Great video Alex. Looks like they performed pretty good.
They use did Wayne they where very good
Do you know if there is a big difference between the RX2 and the RX5 sets?
I have been thinking about buying a Pine Meadow set. I have a fairway wood and could of hybrids that look nice and are pretty consistent for me. Well they are all consistent as they can be for someone who rarely hits the ball the same way twice. I was worried about the 6 and 7 hybrid and the height of them but both have been pretty good to me
Thank you Scott defo put them in the bag
These look pretty decent. I like the trousers you wear with the tight cuffs. What I need in this muddy weather. What make are they?
They are really good!! They are the Puma trousers 👖 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Great video. Have you tried the RX5 by any chance. I'm assuming they're of similar standard, but can't find any video reviews of them.... 🤔
I am looking at that set too, I am getting back into this wonderful game after 4 years out
Would you recommend this set to an absolute beginner 50 year old who just wants to get into the game, cheers
Hi,Alex you funny, after a good shot ,oops there good clubs.Nike set’s are the same ok to play.thanks
Yes I would say that more hybrids is defo the way more golfers should go for
You could pop W 4 and 5 hybrid in???
Well done alex 👏 👍
Thank you Roy

Looks like a full set of Adams blue clubs.

Is it worth buying the rx5 for £50 more
Looks good, hope the quality is better than their gloves 🤔
Thank you Chris. Have you tried the gloves?
@@AlexElliottGolf Morning Alex, bought 2 on a deal after 3 rounds first one is looking worn 👎
Only 797 canadian fiat dollars for that set in Canada
Have you a package set??
No deliberate attempt to make the model logo look like PXG? Talk about opposite ends of the budget
I don’t thinkso but good point
$430~ for 11 clubs, head covers and a bag is not a bad deal at all.
I know i thought that !
Just bought it for £314 amazon prime deal

What ones have you tried
You seem to be scared of everything. lol
What’s the 250 yard thumbnail about then Alex? 🤨👎
