Great review mate. I love my SGS. I have spent so much money on my baby. Tow package, stage 1, touring pegs, saddle bag inserts, windshields yes shields, soft lowers, extra rear lights and not mention riding gear. It never stops. But loved your review, keep up the good work.
I have a 2017 SGS M8 ( in the glitter purple aka hard candy flake mystic purple) and I changed my shield out as well. I got a 9 inch purple fade from memphis shades. Also you mentioned hooking up a mp3 player in the port box on the dash. I just plug my phone in and use pandora. Works great even charges the phone. Trick I found is I have to put on pandora last on my phone then the streetglide will play that. Congrats on your bike. I love mine as well.

I have a 2017 street glide special as well, the biggest thing was wind in my facell due to the stock windshield. I ordered a 7 inch windshield from freedomshields.com in dark tint and I enjoy my bike way way more now. The new M8 pulls smooth and with the single cam and single chain tentioner accessible as soon as you take cover off seems to make the bike more maintenance free.
Thanks Rune! I think the Road King Special might have the stretched bags but the Street Glide Special does not. The CVO Street Glide also has them. I do like the look of the stretched bags. It makes the back end look a bit lower. Cheers.
Hey Mark. I guess it depends on personal preference. I am happy with the sound system. It could be better but upgrading wouldn't be cheap and it's not important enough to me to spend the money at this time. I wear earplugs and I'm able to hear it fine at lower speeds. Highway speeds are a different story. I can hear it but louder would be better. Maybe I'll look at it down the road but for me I would rather spend the money elsewhere. Cheers.

Transmission “clunk” is 100% fluid related. No harm, just goes away with gear oil.
