The three pillars of a perfect Matcha latte are:
1- Excellent quality ceremonial grade Matcha.
DO NOT USE CULINARY MATCHA in beverages. A very common mistake, and a reason why many never wish to try Matcha latte again, is using lower quality or culinary Matcha.
2- Unsweetened non-dairy milk.
We typically use unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk. Be aware that most almond milk labeled "original" are sweetened. We prefer unsweetened so we control the amount of sugar going into our drink.
3- The right spice.
At Matcha Konomi, we use our own blend of Chai Spice
It's important to know that ALL matcha products are good from a health viewpoint.
The ratings 'better' or 'best' are about artistic values --taste, fragrance, appearance.
4 to 6hrs of lasting energy is very true! Ive already had 3 sleepless nights because of matcha. It simply keeps your eyes open!

I've been drinking Matcha for over a year now and have not noticed any weight loss, lowered cholesterol, a calming effect or an energy boost. I do like the taste though are really hope it's high in antioxidants and fights cancer. I prefer to drink my Matcha cold, shaking it up in a blender bottle.

I use a portable Milk frother and some water or milk to mix it into a foamy solution, then add hot 80 degree C water and stir again.

Rodney Putman Hi Rodney! The beauty of Matcha is that you will be consuming the whole tea leaf. While it is technically possible, placing the powder in a tea bag defeats the purpose. Be aware of false advertising. :)

some products are labeled MATCHA, while others are labeled MATCHA-POWDER. could someone please tell me if MATCHA, and MATCHA POWDER are the same thing? (i wish i knew)
