I'm so grateful to be watching this while high af! Thank you!
I’m high on crack
Wth
This... I swear percussionists are living metronomes and have the hand eye coordination and sense of rhythm of genies.... honestly don’t understand how they do it, amazing job!
YEARS of patience, and meaningful practice
Yep. Lots and lots and lots of practice. For these guys, lots and lots of studying and writing too.
@@Yotrymp and mirrors
It easy our hands move in a swift Motion if we can’t keep a beat then the whole band will sound wrong its got to have that back to it
If you’re playing with a drumset type of instruments that they are using. You’re hands become used to were the drums are and you can use your peripheral vision to see the music and the drums
The claves/drums section is pure genius!
The claves section was an intense, unexpected dose of ASMR for me. Wild
You're far from the only person/orchestrator/group putting out good percussive music, but in my book, you're definitely in the top three I've heard - and I'm a kit player who looks for this kind of stuff. Please know that this is inspirational, and I think it's a CLEAR demonstration of "hitting stuff with sticks" being much more than what most of us have grown up with.
Thanks Jon, really appreciate it!! Glad you enjoy my stuff!
They gave their life to music. They ate metronomes for breakfast. They mastered blasts techniques and many other hand techniques used in many other instruments. These are hardcore scholars that build their talent.
It's a delight from start to finish.
This is the background music for the jungle stage of some indie sidescroller jump'n'run and the character you play as is the love child of a triangle relationship of koji kondo, john williams and marty o donnell and if you don't make your inputs perfectly within 4 frames you lose the whole game
THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING
I was thinking lord of the flies
If we could somehow reorganize our society around drums, I think that would fix everything. 😄
Yes without any doubt.
Specially the " rulers of this world" they need it .
Everyone working together for all good
The dynamics here are what are most impressive
That felt like I was on a Vikings ship heading into war!!! EPIC!!!
creative compliment

Guys you're incredible!!
I enoyed every second of it.
I could literally watch this all day long... Also I love the claves on the drums, that's pretty clever
Fascinating piece! It gave me some serious feudal Japan vibes

Wow. This is very cool.
Grandioso trabajo
Increible! felicidades, quede atrapado en toda la música!
the amount of sheer coordination you gotta have to play this is astounding and here i am tripping over my own feet. BRAVO!!!!!
Fantastik perfomance! Bravo👏👏👏
Обалдеть! Просто восторг! Браво!
Superbe .... mise en place, nuances ,technique .......Bravo
wspaniała kompozycja, gratuluję!
It's like someone played each instrument with two hands and then divided every left and right stroke into two different scores.
고맙습니다
Super morceau !!!!! Merci !!!!!!
Muito show !!!!!! Muito bom!!!!!! Que doideira... Muito bem tocado... Muito bem sincronizado... maravilhoso!!!!!! Meus parabéns pelo ótimo trabalho!!!!!!
Got to watch them perform this in person
I love it
One of the best sounding chinas ive heard oh yeah and the rest was awesome too
I have a 12" wuhan... Sounds amazing.. Cuts through loud. And it wasn't very expensive either...
@@vincentzito3933 Nice!!

Отлично!!!!!!)
Greaaat!!
What a virtuosity ! oO
This came up I my ferret and I was like "if this starts with and sfz single stroke roll, I'm so out" but how wrong could I have been. Composition and execution a delight. Spoke a language I understand but in an eloquent yet beguiling way. I got my rolls, but on claves in crossed meter. Bravo!
Bravo!
I'm so glad David Bruce mentioned you otherwise I would have never discovered your beautiful music and channel.
also: I didn't know there was a Wuhan brand instrument manufacturer and although it may be infantile I chuckled a bit given the times
When/where did david mention him? Im a new fan of his so i dont know.
Those artists I wish I could know them
That'll get ya ready for war!
Need more mics!!
The conchhhh
This song reminds me of "Walking on your footsteps", by The Police. Am I the only one?
Great grooves and instrumentation! I went to your website to find the piece but was unable to. Where can I go to find and purchase it?
Thanks!

Thanks Antoine! What kind of video? If it's something for you personally, that's fine with me...
🤙
I can walk and chew bubblegum........(sometimes) without tripping.
Tennou heika banzai!!!
What conch horn did you use for this recording?
0:51 oh good, he's done with the conch. 1:45 *eye's narrow* damnit.

Nice job. Are they music teachers?
Do you want to be in my orchestra?
1:36
I'm recording a percussion duo playing your Song and Dance. Do you have a recording of the 1st movement? Also, I'd love to know if you have any specific intentions for this piece or anything that you think should be more predominant
Laura, there is a recording on my album "Layers." That will give you a good sense... best of luck!

You used to call me on my shell phone...
It sounded amazingly great, though I think the inclusion of shakers or tambourine with a third member would have been even better
Sounds like Agni Kai background music .
owlsum :>>>
Oh...Claves…
Excuse me, is that a real shell or?
Yes, real conch shell
This sounds like it could be Halo
I wonder what their version of Moby Dick would sound like?
QPD is endorsed by Pearl/Adams... vs QPD endorses Pearl/Adams...?
Watch it at 2x and thank me later
Sounds great. I'm just not a fan of drum sticks on bongo heads. If you want that high pitched sound, there ARE roto toms.
I Do like the bass drum on it's side like a floor tom. Great versatility of sound.
dlaczego zamieniacie muzykę w klocki? dla kogo to jest?
This is awesome!
BUT... it needs MOAR COW BELL!!!
=)
Che due palle
...but that ship whistle have nothing to see.
It's cool but... Sometimes I don't like it when music is made to be technically astounding rather than musically interesting. There were moments in this piece when I felt this.
You can't even see them turning the pages.
It's similar to indian traditional music on lord shiva..
Amateurs. They'd be better if they held the drumsticks at the right end
Drumstick beads are bad for those drum heads smartass
tool
The drum part is great, but the horrible foghorn sucks.
Is this cultural appropriation?
Conch detracts. Thumbs down.
So this is one of those the-same-sounding contemporary pieces featuring percussion. contemporary nonsense
