I remember a few years ago we had a massive nest in a tree in our backyard but since it was in a area we never went to we let it be, that year we had no pest problems in our yard or house ;)

I found a bald headed wasp nest mowing my lawn yesterday..I got bit 3 x killed one identified my attacker..located the nest after Watchung some of your vids. I wanted a better look today trimmed one branch ,only got stung once today Think I'll leave it till November to collect and save the nest. But thanks to these jerks..I found your awesome channel and have been binge watching... I'm not gonna gonna start bringing them home like you do.. lol.. but I'll still enjoy learning all about them while they're here.Thanks for your vids.. very informative.

Fascinating: didn't know the larvae weave silk! Appreciate your admiration of them. Also your chicken pets and t-shirt. We had a beautiful huge hornet's nest outside our front door. They never bothered us or our shepherd as we came and went. Then my son came for a visit with his boxer who kept barking at the nest. They did not get along. It seems those wasps recognize different people. Here in Canada, they mostly die off in winter and never return to the nest, so I was able to spray and keep it. So amazing.
I love the zoom ins on the larvae. It might be cool if after a plucking session you took a few larvae and lined them up by age/development. If you haven't done it befofe.

Chickens are garbage disposals. I had one that took up at my house that looks just like Ginger. I named her ruby. But I really grew to love that chicken. Unfortunately, I didn’t know what to do with her and about the time I decided I wanted to keep her as a pet, coyotes got her. I cried for a month. I should have built her a coop but didn’t know who she belonged to. She just took up here. But they are super cool animals and by time I found where she was laying her eggs, it was too late. Coyotes found her. Still breaks my heart and I miss her.
Amazing! I learned so much. I wondered how the cell got the cap on it and always assumed the workers did it. Incredible to see them weave! Bald face hornet nests have always fascinated me. The architecture is amazing! A good size nest came out of a tree during a windstorm this fall and of course I brought it in so my grandson ( who is 5 and scared to death of any flying insect/BEE) something had torn the nest open and cleaned it out. I don’t know how late in the season a nest is active. It was certainly interesting to see the layers of walls and how the branch was enclosed. And leaves were entrapped.
