Some really unusual but beautiful animals. The kanagroo liked Sarah. So beautiful all these creatures.
If it is well run and the animals are rotated back to the farm, it is a great way for families to spent time together.
They are very well taken care of and never lonely!

Did you encounter many critics back then like I have received in my comment section? It appeared to me that the animals were well taken care of but yet people are squawking about how unfortunate it is for those animals to be inside. Those animals, I understand, are rotated to an outdoor farm. None of the animals seem distressed to me.

Funny, the Capybara sounds like a combination hedge trimmer and jack hammer.
Sarah must have been in seventh heaven being with all those different animals.I give a double Thumbs Up to Sustainable Safari too.
She certainly comes alive when she’s able to visit animals. I think it brings out her inner child. I love watching it too.

It's an amazing place with wonderful staff. The Bearcat when we were there really loves John one of the staff members. You can tell they are happy and btw the Cappy's had babies! Well worth the cost.

Maplewood Mall used to be THE place to go to especially during the 80s. My Mother brought us to the outlet store instead. LOL Sondra from St. Paul.
Most malls in our country are dying as to Amazon.

Yep…I can definitely say Sarah enjoyed that.
I grew up two blocks from this mall. We used to ride bikes down there as kids. My bike was stolen from there when I was young. It was a pretty good area in the 80’s and a so-so area in the 90’s and a short step above bad currently.
Isn’t that sad what some of our cities are becoming? San Francisco is s*** hole now.

Yes they did & they were both very affectionate.
One wallaby got a bit feisty with me when I stopped given scratches.

How cool is that?! Were those kangaroos or wallabies? What was the little critter with the capybara? Sarah, you're the only person, other than myself, who I've heard say "scritches". One of my cats loves tummy scritches.
There were both kangaroo and wallaby. The critter with the big capybara was a Cavy a Patagonian mara. Critters bring out the sweet talk they love scritches 😊
“If You want a friend feed any animal”-Jane’s Addiction. Exploitive but they seem fat and happy. Some scritchin’ and treats would seem better to me than being eaten by something bigger, mean and toothy. Zoo’s and aquariums that serve as wildlife protectors through proliferation and education get a bad rap, IMO.
Sarah is enjoying these animals.

They are rotated in from a farm so they get plenty of outdoor weather. Besides, they seem very happy and loved!

Sadly the Maplewood has died down quite a bit.. I remember back in 2012-2016 it was a busy place especially on the weekend. Now it look abandoned
Many malls across the land have been destroyed by Amazon! It just further isolates ourselves within the confines of our houses. Sad, if you ask me.

The deadest mall in the twin cities. Once bustling and new in the 1970’s. Makes good use of the space!
