Your season is MUCH better than we had in Central PA. Weather seemed OK. Trees just didn't wanna give it up. We're done here. Sap was a bit weak. I'm on sugar maples and ran from 1-2.2%. Last year we were pulling 3%. I guess it's just our turn to struggle. Thank you for sharing with the community

I kind of don’t even understand how the system works. I understand vacuum and such as I worked on HVAC systems just never seen a set up quiet like this very cool especially when it tells you if a taps popped out I imagine you couldn’t lose a lot of sap when that happens if you aren’t aware quickly
No it can be as simple as a bucket having off a tree or a few trees tied together with some tubing. When you are looking for high production then it all matters. But having fun is really what matters.
I have a 1" and a 2" pump the big pump is just for the big tank. The bubbler keeps solids that form suspended and moving rather than settling to the bottom. I also use it to clean the pan by keeping the pan cleaner agitated over night rather than just sitting.

If it doesn’t freeze (get in the 20’s) at night, and get up to around 40 they don’t run in the daytime (this is a generalization). Enjoy the Sweet Stuff!!
I generaly start hauling sap between noon and 3 depending on how much we have. Fire the RO up and start boiling around 530. I usually walk in the house by 10 with everything cooled down. You need a bigger RO if it takes that long
@dunnfamilymaple7642 I have a home built one similar to leaders 2 post 4x40 and a single 4x40 as well. I'm wondering if it's just the membranes needing replacement. That and I boil on 2x6 flat pan. I do able 1000 gal in that time frame. Only reason I don't upgrade is I need it mobile as I ro and boil basically in outdoor cold temp shed so I have to move stuff into warmth at night. Are you working like 4-noon weekdays? I could stick alot of money into expensive RO and evaporator but how long is that payback before I see a profit is my issue. Next year I hope to be boiling indoor sugarshack

@@dunnfamilymaple I had 140 on one pump and could only get 19 inches of vacuum. I got another pump put 70 on each and started getting 26 inches. 140 taps was definitely overwhelming the pump.

we are struggling to get cold nights right now. maybe one freeze up in a week
I would love to spend the spring in a shack like that learning what I can. It looks so interesting and fun in my opinion.

every drop matters in the big picture. Vacuum leaks cause lines to freeze and then they don't flow
It seems like it’s getting wicked complicated is all of that stuff necessary to run a gravity, flow line. I can’t afford all of that stuff.

I have 100 on one and 120 on the other. I think about 200 is the max. You will overload it with liquid on good trees

Beautiful syrup damn!! Curious on what size your evaporator is, how many taps,and size of Ro?
We have been making some good stuff this year. It is a Leader 2x6 max flu with a custom arch, 1600 taps and a H2O Econox 1200 single post RO
Hate when you run out of room for syrup.... LOL How much can you concentrate your sap before you boil? I can usually get it up to 10% on the 2nd pass.
Ohh I can squeeze it a bunch. It's the time crunch that gets me with to much to do every day
What are you using for a blower to the bubbler?
It comes with a 110v high pressure blower
what type of bleeder do you use on your sap lift?
They are needle valves that I get at Lowes. It takes some adapters to get it to work due to thread sizes
