Every streamer I have watched always does the Wandering Wight first instead of Guangzhi first which gives you red tides with makes the fight against wandering wight way easier.
To explain general story:. It follows a monk name Tang SanZang who goes on a Journey to the West (India) for the Sacred Buddha's Scriptures. Sun Wukung, who was born from a rock (space rock?) since the beginning of time by adsorbing the Heaven and Earth's Chi and Spirit. He founded a monkey kingdom and realised that he and his people could die of old age. He went on a journey to learn mystical arts (magic) and to become a deity and gain immortality. Long story short, he got into conflict with the heaven and made a mess due to his arrogance and untamed behaviour, no one could stop him until Buddha appeared and sealed him up for his crime for 500 years using a mountain + Seal. (5 Finger Mountain) The story begins when the monk's destiny is to find Wukung and set him free, however he must become the monk's disciple and follow him on a journey to the west by foot. During the journey, they have to overcome 81 difficulties of life and death, fighting evil demons and testing their faith and comradery
This is ancient Chinese mythology but also based on Chinese Zen/Tao/Philosophy. To appreciate the deeper meanings hidden behind all those details in the game, one could check out the Chinese novel “A journey to the west” or the Chinese Zen Book “How to be Happy: the Wisdom to Attain Happiness and Success by Constructing an Invincible Mind”.

Just a heads up, the story will seem confusing if you don't pay enough attention to dialogues, animations and other stuff. They don't go about story telling in a linear or easy to understand fashion so just so you know. And btw, try not to skip optional/hidden bosses as it could affect ur game ending.
Quick helpful tip here, health from your guard before absorbing spirits/wisps, wisps refill per charge while spirits refill the whole guard. Hope this helps.
Some tips :) It’s best to stick to using the Wandering Wight in the early game as its buff to defends is huge. There’s no reason to not add your soaks to your gourd. They’re added bonuses on top of the healing you’d normally get. Literally no downside to addling them :) Early game it’s also best to prioritize one stance and acquiring more skill for that particular one. When in your transformation stick to using your normal attack rather than the dash attack. While the dash will help close the distance, you’ll have more of a chance to set the enemy on fire with the regular attack.
If we’re looking for an honest answer to the hesitant gamer question, then based on the frequent dodging seen across several games where there’s a large opening to finish a combo the answer is yes. That being said it’s not an issue 😂

17:23 I feel that. One time my graphic settings got randomly cranked up to max and my 3080Ti just went: "Alright I'm out, good luck!" and the game crashed to desktop after entering the game from main menu 😂
Ray tracing and reflections seem to be the biggest draws on hardware from some of the other streams I’ve seen. There are a handful of boss fights that seem to have a much higher demand than the average. I’d start with those two settings first. And don’t feel the need to make all the armor and weapons. A lot of items are tailored for specific play styles.

It also took me a while to see that the first time you drink from your gourde, The Destined One has to pick it up from his waist so it took longer, after that you can just drink repeatedly with almost no delay before he put it back down, then next time he has to pick it up again.
I'm retiring from Black Myth: Wukong because that secret boss Erlang Shen is hard to beat especially on NG+ I' am going to give it a few more tries tomorrow if I can't defeat him then I'm done
Can't play this game till the Xbox release so I'm not waiting for it and will watch my favorite killers beat the game, Julia being one of the 2 or 3 , also love the camera position, it's great to see the combat happening as the skills are being used and cool down countdowns are taking place , enjoy the ride 👍👍
It's not your combat skills that are frustrating. When you first got to the monkey who upgrades your gourds you were introduced to soaks which ar just free bonuses everytime you drink. And you said some shit like... I don't have time for that.

Some tips :)
It’s best to stick to using the Wandering Wight in the early game as its buff to defends is huge.
