Man, streamers like you are very rare. Paying attention to the cutscenes, paying attention to the atmosphere. Finding a good balance with the chat and being immersed in a game. You deserve more followers. Although, I am not sure how would you balance it if you had great amount of chatters there..Majority of streamers constantly look at chat and constantly talk, many even during the cutscenes. The atmosphere and the story gets completely lost. Some people experience the game for the first time with them. And streamers ruin that experience
Agreed. I’ve had to stop watching a handful of streamers playing through this game because they would talk throughout every damn cutscene (often resulting in them missing important plot points in the dialogue), they’d stop playing every 30 seconds to read the live chat, try too hard to either act not scared or overly scared…
I rarely watch streamers and often will click off a video for reasons you mentioned, talking to chat in cutscenes and seemingly being more interested in the chat than the game. Julia is one I know I can click into and know I’d enjoy!
I also feel streamers often showcase a lack of sympathy/empathy for the characters in favor of corny jokes, looking cool or agreeing with bandwagon hate (happened with Until Dawn a lot lol) and I feel like that’s such a waste when it comes to story-driven games… it comes off as immature and disgenuine… I really like her way of playing here :)

I have definitely gotten better at balancing chat/game over the years and was not as good about it in some older playthroughs, but I've really put a lot of effort into immersing myself in the games I play now :) I know it can be annoying to watch someone talking to chat too much but I really love both streaming and posting my playthroughs, so I'm glad to know people feel like it's a good balance!

The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️

Silent Hill 2 is one of the greatest games I ever played. If you wanna play the original I would recommend the OG Xbox port or PC enhanced version on modern TV though nothing beats the atmosphere and pure dread of the original silent hill 2 on PS2 played on a CRT TV. I finished the remake and it’s good. Glad more players will enjoy it.
I'm playing the SH2 playstation 2 greatest hits version with the Born From A Wish scenario on my PS3 with an HD TV and it looks perfectly fine. Of course using a good HDMI cable. A CRT TV is not needed though even though it was released when CRTs were being made.

For some reason I thought it wouldn't have the original soundtrack...but hearing it again, my word. So much nostalgia. Ahead of it's time and oddly works very well with a lot of macabre tones in games and movies and art now.
This game is amazing, and I think I will definitely enjoy it more on repeat playthroughs after using a walkthrough guide to soak up all the lore elements and everything I missed on my first blind run, as well as all of the endings etc. I just wanted to play through the game once blind as I figured I don’t get my first run of it twice duh, so that’s why I decided I wanted to go in blind and figure things out myself and minus the puzzles I got stumped on or don’t have the patience to figure out myself, I have kept to that promise for the most part.
I think it hits the same way if not better. If people liked it so much back then, the remaked game will do the same to newcomers. Scores at least indicate that people are loving it.
There is some censorship and some things are watered down in this remake though so even though it's game of the year, everyone either needs to play or watch a playthrough of the original to experience the true disturbing SH2.
They did a really good job with keeping pretty much the entire story from the original They just Kind of altered the situations and areas a little bit. They've added a few new puzzles and kept Most of the original ones that I van remember Again just kind of altering The way you find the pieces a little. It's a very good remake. There's also original Easter eggs. When you click on something amd he says his head hurts
I love that your going in blind and are a player of dead by daylight. So you are fimular with james, maria, and pyramid head but only surface level. This story is so deep, haunting, and beautiful. I wish I could relive the experience of finding out. Enjoy your stay!
Also fun fact. A very good attention to detail a subtle yet important difference between James and Leon. If you look at James when he aims a gun it shows he has no gun safety training because he has his finger always on the trigger. Leon however because he does have gun safety training will gold a gun properly. Finger off the trigger
Great stream. So many times it was like she was speaking what I was thinking. But she does a good job of not being overly energetic or like she needs to fill empty space. She let's the game have most of the attention and only interjects with stuff that expands on what's happening, or is a valid heat of the moment reaction to something. Great stream. I can't wait to catch her on a live horror game playthrough. might I suggest Fatal Frame 1 or 2?? Fatal Frame 3 is good too, but it's generally harder to get a copy of and isn't quite as good as 1 and 2. If you have a PS3 they're all three on PSN store as digital PS2 classics though, so that's a cheap option instead of the hundreds of dollars the trilogy costs for PS2.

just realized the Lying Figure has platforms 😂 SH franchise, disturbing nightmares at it's finest when I was a kid, those long hallways of the apartments and hospital terrorized me, but I liked it! my favorite horror game of all time, I was 14 when I first played the original, finished all of them. Going to play the remake too, I was so happy when I heard the remake was going to happen on my fave SH game. Weird that I'm more of a chicken with horror games now that I'm 33 than when I was a kid, and I also know the game by heart and it still scares me 😂 One thing about this game is you'll never know what you are about to see or hear from start to finish, it's unpredictable for somebody who plays it for the first time, because it's not like any other horror game where you just jump scare, it's the disturbing people and stories too.
I'm currently playing this, too! This game gives me RE2 remake vibes almost 100%! The main character looks like Leon, and you're going through dark corridors and hallways while solving puzzles and using ammo wisely.
I can tell u were akkkshually scared while playin this lmfao. And that's relatable asf. Man, those double set of legs, elden ring lookin ass mfs got me SO many times, it wasn't even funny, it really was tho 😆😆😆 To think folks were bitchin about this game not being EXACTLY like the OG. IMO, it ended up being SOOOO much better fr. Bloober cooked with this one & I hope they remake the 3rd one as well, which is my favorite. U should play it tbh, u'll love it 💯 (Once u finish this one, get the 3rd. I played it when I was like 14, scared the shit outta me lol)
Definitely play the original SH2, it's even more disturbing and dark and scary and emotional and has no censorship. This remake while game of the year does have some censorship so definitely play the original!

Great stream. So many times it was like she was speaking what I was thinking. But she does a good job of not being overly energetic or like she needs to fill empty space. She let's the game have most of the attention and only interjects with stuff that expands on what's happening, or is a valid heat of the moment reaction to something.
Great stream. I can't wait to catch her on a live horror game playthrough. might I suggest Fatal Frame 1 or 2?? Fatal Frame 3 is good too, but it's generally harder to get a copy of and isn't quite as good as 1 and 2. If you have a PS3 they're all three on PSN store as digital PS2 classics though, so that's a cheap option instead of the hundreds of dollars the trilogy costs for PS2.

Weird, I chose the woman coin as the final solution for the puzzle box in the apartments, and it solved the puzzle for me. Would any of the coins work there?

I’ve watched a few people do the coin puzzle out of curiosity and it seems you can not choose wrongly on the final move.

I love silent hill playing for years from zero to the remake. And people who never play it before is that silent hill the town itself for me is the monster and anyone cant go to the town like that they need to be invited in.

just realized the Lying Figure has platforms 😂 SH franchise, disturbing nightmares at it's finest when I was a kid, those long hallways of the apartments and hospital terrorized me, but I liked it! my favorite horror game of all time, I was 14 when I first played the original, finished all of them. Going to play the remake too, I was so happy when I heard the remake was going to happen on my fave SH game. Weird that I'm more of a chicken with horror games now that I'm 33 than when I was a kid, and I also know the game by heart and it still scares me 😂 One thing about this game is you'll never know what you are about to see or hear from start to finish, it's unpredictable for somebody who plays it for the first time, because it's not like any other horror game where you just jump scare, it's the disturbing people and stories too.

I'm currently playing this, too! This game gives me RE2 remake vibes almost 100%! The main character looks like Leon, and you're going through dark corridors and hallways while solving puzzles and using ammo wisely.
It reminds me of 2002 silent hill

IMO, it ended up being SOOOO much better fr. Bloober cooked with this one & I hope they remake the 3rd one as well, which is my favorite. Definitely play the original SH2, it's even more disturbing and dark and scary and emotional and has no censorship. This remake while game of the year does have some censorship so definitely play the original!
