I've just been watching your recent video again I'm with you all the way as far as Steve Bruce is concerned. I think he is the best thing that could happen to Blackpool Thank you Simon Sadler for bringing someone in with so much player and managerial experience that he has. You are absolutely right the fans have to get behind him and support him I don't like negative give the guy a chance. I still can't believe that we have Steve Bruce coaching Blackpool......Just Wow !!!
I know John I totally agree he simply has to be the biggest name in football we have ever had to come and manage us in League 1!!! I saw a tweet from an Everton fan who was upset Sean Dyche was still there and they'd missed out on Steve Bruce going to Blackpool and what a joke of a club Everton were!!! It is actually quite unbelievable and if the plan is to help mentor Keogh and Dobbie and develop them and work with them this could be the most exciting appointment in years on the other hand it could go belly up? But for now it seems an incredible appointment and puts 'little old Blackpool' well and truly back on the map! I feel exciting times ahead 🙂🍊👍🏻
My initial thoughts were not positive but on reflection; he has a 2 year contract which takes him to 65 years old, so the mentoring theory to install Dobbie/Keogh at the end of his contract makes lots of sense.
Thanks so much Vincent 🙏and you don't know how much it means to me that you stuck with me right to the very end thank you so much 🧡 you're as daft as me 😁🍊
Hi Lee. I think the appointment of Steve Bruce is brilliant an experienced manager with bigger clubs than our Blackpool. Welcome Steve to Bloomfield Road.
I heard the news coming out of the ground and was gobsmacked, 24 hours later I am excited at the prospect of such a pro and ultra experienced manager is going to help Keogh and Dobbie get us promoted. We just need to win one of the cup finals to get into Europe. UTMP.
Long term gotta be a great appointment as i dont think Steve Bruce has managed in 3rd tier & must feel he can get you back into the championship & has a good promotion record. I criticise him sometimes for being over cautious but i think the premier league was getting the better of him the pressure. Dropping to league one he can go under the radar a bit & get his own career back on track & Blackpool back on track. Winning away at Charlton is a great result & hopefully one you can build on. Been away for a bit Lee as lost my Mam & have to move & sort estate out & things but i hope to be back more regularly. Hope you and Jane are well. Boro Chris UTB!
Hi Chris Sorry to hear about your mam but it's lovely to hear from you. I think Bruce is exactly what we need, the transformation in 3 short weeks is unbelievable
I'm withyou on thinking he could be a mentor for keogh and dobbie, he's had a lot of success in management, I'm surprised we could afford him to be honest but I'm pretty pleased with the choice so bring it on UTP🍊
and its a reacton that I totally didn't see coming, quite the curve ball its either going to be genius or quite the disaster and I'm praying it's the former 🙏🏻
As a Newcastle supporter I can honestly say that Bruce is an absolute dinosaur. Forget about his 1000+ managerial games, thats just proof of how much he’s been robbing a living. Prepare yourselves for two days a week training sessions which will have at catastrophic affect on your squad’s fitness. When it all turns to Sh!t he will ultimately blame the fans for poor results. He’ll get sacked and walk away with a big lump sum. He’s was sacked from us and walked off with 8 million pounds. I wouldn’t wish him on anyone other than 5under1and.
@@LeeCharlesTV In all honesty Lee I’d imagine the cracks will start to show in a month or so. He’s very fond of warmer climates and likes get off to his holiday home as much as possible. He won’t spend enough time with the players to know their strengths or even their positions. You will be left scratching your head when you see the team selections and how he attempts to set them up. He’s utterly clueless, don’t be surprised if he drafts his son in once more in some capacity. Let’s revisit this conversation in a couple of months and see how things are going. I basically had a similar conversation with Christine Seddon about it all the other day. I’ll touch base with her again in a month or so to get her thoughts on what’s happening. I heard that all the staff and squad have been given the weekend off. Not a great start is it. However this will become a regular occurrence.
Oh come on Lee 😊Critchey's stats were better second time around (48.39%). His first stint as manager yielded a 41.28% win record. Averaging those out, he still has the best win record in the history of the club. If Steve Bruce gets anywhere near those figures then he will have done a good job. Hope to see an improvement in results and Blackpool's rise up the table. Take care .👍
The only stat that matters to me is we finished 8th and missed out on the playoffs by playing the same negative football we had failed with away from home over and over. In his first stint he got us promoted so stats as far as I'm concerned don't really mean anything, I am 100% not a statto I tend to judge football on whether I enjoy watching it or not and Critch 2 was depressing me with his football you may think he was the best thing because of those stats and maybe he was but for me Gosh it was awful to watch, sorry
@@LeeCharlesTV My friend, who is a Blackpool supporter, said he would rather see good football and Blackpool lose, than see them play poorly and win. Good job he wasn't a Bournemouth supporter, as he would have walked out in disgust last weekend! For me, it is all down to results. I would rather my team play poorly for the first 10 matches of a season and be top, than the other way round and be bottom.
I kind of get the mindset but for me I want to see us play well and Win rather than it be a bore fest and win. I hate losing full stop, I'm a bad loser tbh
@@LeeCharlesTV Yes, Bournemouth fans must have got the ultimate high last weekend, even though their team only really started playing from the 87th minute. Can you imagine Blackpool being 2-0 at Deepdale with Preston fans giving it loads...only to come back and beat them 3-2 in the last knockings of the game. Sometimes, you don't need entertainment on the pitch, to be entertained off it.
1. that would never happen we are talking Blackpool here 2. at 2-0 down at Deepdale most would have given up and set off early to their cars and would miss it! we are talking Blackpool here 😉
Hope it works out well for you guys - used to like Bruce, however he was shite for us as a manager. When he got the boot from WBA we were in the relegation zone, Corberan just missed out on the playoffs with the same team Bruce had.
Yes very clearly it could go either way but, anyway you look at League 1 it isn't as difficult as the Championship so I guess we shall just have to wait and see
Feel for Keogh great game last night done ok at Birmingham Bruce last chance for sadler like the fila blast from the past mine all worn off on my home shirt.Utmp
The good thing is Keogh has moved up along with Dobbie as 1st team coaches I don't know if Keogh wanted it full time but he has done a great job and yeah I was hoping he would get a bit longer as the football is looking so much better even if the defence is a big worry. yes most of this top is almost washed off now but it's comfy and I have always loved it 🧡
On the fence with this one. Seems like an appointment based on short term stability. I just hope the front foot football continues and we give ourselves a chance of play offs. We need a team that fills bloomers, only time will tell. UTMP
I can only see it as a good thing if we can say someone like Steve Bruce is one of 'the boys' because to be honest that's a huge leap from being seen as 'little old Blackpool' maybe some of us don't appreciate how much Simon Sadler has changed OUR CLUB?
Suicidal move by any club. I will give him until Christmas until the fans are demanding his resignation. But he wont resign, he will make Blackpool buy him out of the contract and put you back years.
That's one possible scenario and you may well be right but you may not? Time will tell and for now I'll do what fans do and get behind him as much as I can
@@LeeCharlesTV I get you're a big club and a big manager is a good fit but I like to see up and coming managers given the chance of progression like my team (Lincoln) did with Danny Cowley and Michael Skubala
Big? Heck we're 'little old Blackpool' don't ya know😉 The Cowley Bros came up as a suggestion on the forums and the fans reaction was very much 'no thanks' but that's pretty much the reaction to each and every suggestion 🙁
Smacks of mick mcarthy dinosaur football again...keogh dobbie is the ticket blackpool fans would be patient with them and i believe they have fresh forward thinking ideas....i hope im wrong but i think bruce will fail badly
Yes I've said all that in the video. We all have a fear because of Mick McCarthy PTSD but he isn't Mick McCarthy. We haven't kicked a ball yet with him in charge and I honestly think he is here to help develop Keogh and Dobbie. I will always start from a positive mindset and hope a new manager will do well but who knows? time will tell I guess

steve bruce is a good head coach from a hull fan we had him he took us to our first fa cup final
He has had a mixed bag of a managerial but you can't deny the successes he has had. I hope he works out 🙏

Go on lee broce back
At least you haven't got wayne rooney as manager. Then you'd have *real* problems.
I keep thinking maybe he will come good but it's not been great for him so far
How has Embo been doing for you lads?
Not thoroughly match fit yet Kris but he seems to be coming along nicely, he is a class player IMHO
Football manager the only job you can get employed again after being sacked from every job that youve had
And get a nice payout when you get sacked then do some media work for a bit heck I missed my vocation there
I ment ball

If he succeeds he will leave end of season guaranteed. If he loses, he will walk away before being sacked.
