Dear Russel, Ninet is our "Kelly Klarkson" 😂... She was the winner of the first Israel's talent show, back at 2003, and since then she was very famous and loved singer in Israel. (You can see her as a judge in Tamir Greenberg's auditions). This song is talking about hope and lifting the spirit up, so we won't break down during difficult times (like now) Am Israel Hai 🇮🇱
Thanks for great review. The "wind" in your title should read "spirit". Ninet is a very popular and talented singer/song-writer in Israel, with a powerful voice. You have seen her as a judge on some of the contest performances you have reacted to. Shalom :) Ninet is a really brave artist. She was a celebrity when she decided to go into alt rock, inspired by Jeff Buckley, PJ Harvey and more. She learned to play guitar at about 24-25, writes most of her music herself, and amazed quite a lot of people back in the days when she decided to go that route. Nowadays she is at a good balance between soft, soulful music with mass appeal and alt rock, inspired with middle eastern music. She released two English albums - Sympathetic nervous system and Paper Parachute, has a few singles which I hope would find their way into a new English album (guess it isn't a very good climate to be an Israeli creating music for people abroad). Some of those tracks - "Reborn" Which is dedicated to a film about October 7 massacure, "Who is us", "Self destructive mind". Ninet created a lot of beautiful music in Hebrew, and also released a new album recently, this song is taken from it (It's called "Kamti lirkod" - קמתי לרקוד, meaning "got up to dance". A very eclectic album, One of her more successful. Ninet Also preformed a few songs with Steven Wilson including one she wrote ("rock bottom". Stevens songs - "routine", "people who eat darkness"', "pariah" and a great cover of David bowie the did in memory of him). She has quite a discography and i wish more people dive in and discover it :)
Ninet Taib was the first to win the singing competition in Israel, in the show on the first next star In 2003. She became very famous in Israel in a moment and even too much. Since then she managed to appear as an actress in series and also released songs and tried to succeed as a rock artist in the United States, recently she also appeared as a judge on the next star. The second place was taken by Shiri Maimon, whom you see as a judge in poetry competitions. She also represented us at Eurovision with the song "The Remaining Silence" and won fourth place.
She has songs in English, but I don't think they are so good. In Hebrew I think her best song is also one of her latest: Ninet Tayeb - נינט טייב - מה יהיה איתך It is a rock song

tip to pronounce Israeli names, keep it simple, we use vowels for your convenience :] read it with the most basic vowel pronunciation.

Ninet Tayeb - נינט טייב - מה יהיה איתך
It is a rock song
Also she writs most of her songs
She did a duet with Steven Wilson that i think you would like, it's called "Rock Bottom"❤
You have to see her in a live video from one of her shows she is crazy.
Should be translated: "Just don't let the spirit fall" (not 'the wind', in this context).
Thanks, as always. 🫶
She's singing about hope, especially in these trying days
Didn't know this song. Thanks for reacting to it.
Check out an orthodox singer "Avraham Fried" - Abba with English subtitles. Beautiful song.

Loved the new intro! Great job.
רק שלא תיפול הרוח
Just don't let the wind fall
אמן על זה ❤
Amen
