The strainer thing is part of an espresso maker where you put the coffee grounds then tamp them down and screw the whole thing minus the tamper piece onto the machine.
Goodwill gets it all free. They don't care about selling more, they care about making money. Our local GWs now have a mandatory minimum sale price of $2.99.
WOW what a great find with the Dept 56. I have never found any that are not chipped & broken. One of these days...The little bird with baby birds in nest is so cute in it's own way... I love your videos because of you talking and explaining about them... I always learn something new!!!
I channeled Danni today...was over the bridges on the continent, so I looked up Goodwill. Found it. Not a pretty one. But they DID have Japanese cups and saucers wrapped together, instead of separated, and one set, incomplete or not, wrapped together in a plastic tray. So I returned a few stray pieces to their proper sections a few aisles over, and returned each piece that I looked at to the shelf with a pat 🙂
I like your way of shopping, that’s the way I shop. You have thought me a lot about how to tell if I’m getting junk or good stuff.I do watch other thrifters but I like yours the best.
Hi Danni enjoy your videos I’m a big FAN! E-6000 glue for the pumpkin 🎃 best glue out there bring it home good as new! PS I’m a ceramicist and actually those pieces were very nice it’s what you like and what catches your eye when picking ceramic pieces we’d hold sales by the students every year and guess who would show up Resellers for their boutiques for rock-bottom prices they would put them in their boutiques and put them up for high dollar yup! Ceramics are way popular there will always be a market for them! Professional and students alike 👍
While GW thought they were winning by intercepting the Glassy Babbies for themselves they let two Dept 56 go right on by. :) Happy YOU found them, super! ;D
I loved the copper bowls you didn't stop at in the metals. Great for cooking. I thought Noah would get great use from them. I love your videos they are always chucked full of information to help us out. Also you find so many items, not in my area NY. I live vicariously through your finds. So much fun!
Love Noah's comments! Did you find the paperwork for the trinket boxes? Oh, that Noritake pattern 175 was my grandmothers pattern and it dates to before WWII. My sister got my that set from my mom's estate, so I have been piecing a set together for myself.
@@melissalynncolbert-amyotte4678 I thought it sounded as if she wasn't connecting the words and yes they are identifying markers for a buffet of some sort
The springtime Serenade plate with the pretty pastel colors and the birds would have been a good buy I fell in love with it and looked it up and they go for $20 it was next to the silver crocodile.
I really enjoyed the yard sale video! I feel like you find a lot more stuff for a much better price than goodwill! I hope you continue to do those types of videos.
That Dept 56 Starbucks is on a bolo list for me. I found one a few years ago and sold it quickly for $150 but haven't found another one since. Looks like it's worth even more now according to your recap. Good find!!
The Blood Oj and Oj sings are for standing in front of and labeling juice. There is regular orange juice and blood oranges. Blood oranges are very good.
I’ve noticed the GoodWill where I live the prices jumped by a lot the past two weeks. The Blood OJ is a type of orange call a blood orange, maybe that’s what it meant.
That strainer thing looks like it goes with restaurant coffee/espresso machine. You put the grounds in there and attach to the machine and then flip a switch and the hot water goes through. But usually there are 2 spouts that the liquid comes out of and I didn’t see them.
That thing with the stainless basket, strainer and brown handle is called an espresso "portafilter". It's what you put the ground coffee into, then tamp down, and attach to the espresso maker.
7:57 that looked like Michalangelio Stainless from Oneida. It can bring good money if you get it at cheap price. Especially the serving pieces. It is from the 1970's
I love Noah. I bet he could be fun. You found some good stuff. I love that frog! I love the rosette pieces also. Thanks for taking me along. ❤️😘💞💞💞💞💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌞🌞🌞🌞✌️👶
I bought loads of extra silverware/flatware for when I have a party and now I never need to buy plastic dollar store crap ever again. And it was cheaper 😉 Those had a very unique handle, quite lovely.
Ohh I love looking at all the plates love how they well them together not buy each plate those pottery barn mugs look nice 👍 quality n for 69 cents for personal use is a good price love seeing what you find
Hi Danni. New to your channel and love it. Love Vegas goodwill!! You have good stuff. Lol Looking forward to more videos. Thanks for taking us with you. That Starbucks coffee house is worth so much!! Selling for about 200.00+. Nice find.
Yep, I got one of those large cupcake/muffin pans one year around Christmas. Love it! I had to go to a doctor's appointment 2 hours from my house and did a huge thrifting trip while there and coming home. 5 Goodwills, 1 Salvation Army, and one nicer thrift shop. Lots of clothes, toys for my kid (and resell when he's done with them, we have a huge kids consignment sale twice a year that is perfect for that), and a few odds and ends. Got 2 Waterford dinner plates for 99 cents each, a new Starbucks mug for 70 cents, a bunch of really nice designer ties (big university town, someone has great taste), and a Pier One oil container. Not what I had went for, but still decent. I love that the one town had all it's kids books for 10 cents each and my kid found an Eric Carle book among the bunch. That one has a price tag from our local book outlet for $6. I know it's a $13 book at our big box bookstore.
Not all of then though some have the nonstick because you don't use the papers anymore with the nonstick ones. But yes there are some older ones that you can use the muffin papers in 😁🤗
I'm guessing because they have to be careful of fumes from Teflon and from candles that can kill theirs birds. So that's part of no candles and checking no-bake ware.
Somebody has probably already commented on this, but the "Blood OJ" sign I think was to identify Blood Orange OJ, there is a fruit called Blood Orange,, it's red inside.
Hi. At the 41 mark you saw something you liked but didn’t know what it was used for....it is a carryall used for transporting scrapbooking supplies to scrapbooking parties/gatherings.
I just started watching your videos this week. But it made me remember how much I love thrift stores. So me and my family went thrift shopping today. 😊 I saw a few things on the shelves that look like things you look at. But sadly I didn’t find the 2 things I wanted to find. It’s ok it’ll give me a reason to go back lol.
I know the Goodwill around here has really has went crazy with the prices! I know a few people that has stopped going to the store,, They really have gone crazy you even see real cheap things from the dollar store or Walmart with unbelievable prices,!!! I do see items set and set!
Dani, if you don’t bake or cook, please tell us what you eat? I spray my pans so things don’t stick, like cake, muffins, casseroles etc. makes for easy clean up.
Jewel tea autumn leaf are very heavy, but the pie plates make THE BEST pumpkin pie, the texture is completely different. I have my mom’s and use it once or twice a year, always hand wash, of course…
You are a delightful woman and share the shopping with so much natural fun one feels they are one of your lucky friends..I love going and looking with you and thanks for educating us...and I think that heave cup and handle thing maybe went to a cappuccino maker. If you don't mind using paper for your cupcakes...rhat would work,,lol once my sister's sis in law borrowed her muffin tins and did not tell her and she was making cupcakes with big poop emoji fudge top frosting for her daughter's grad party..you do not want to cross my sis..lol...that is when those multiple ones are great and why I went for a 12 one 3 decades ago and it needs paper because better than aluminum I think..I just cook what ever amount in them. Glad Noah's room is coming along.
I know you sell some really spectacular pieces, but I love how excited you were over that tiny gray bird on it's nest with eggs for 69 cents. I just really like "real" people, and I think no matter how popular you become that trait will always shine through.
Not sure about that strainer, but it looks like it belongs to an espresso machine that a barista would fill with grounds and slide into a groove in the machine.
It a bunch of different things, the weight, the design and what I have seen is dust in certain places and most definitely the quality of the pieces. If you take a peek at newer pieces and then pick up the vintages one you can tell the difference. Good luck!
That muffin pan is great for puppies that eat to fast... I put the kibble in the cups and it slows them down..
Cool idea!
God for kittens too. I fostered five neonatal sand putting their wet food in the tins prevented it getting all over the place
The small brown and pink bag is for crafters to carry their brushes, glue, tapes and other small items.
Brown and pink bag...use for scissors pens brushes for crafting etc
The strainer thing is part of an espresso maker where you put the coffee grounds then tamp them down and screw the whole thing minus the tamper piece onto the machine.
Noah’s comments are funny. He is such a credit to you. Your girls are wonderful too.
Totally agree with you, they are so over priced, even here in Tucson. They would probably sell more if prices were more in line
Goodwill gets it all free. They don't care about selling more, they care about making money. Our local GWs now have a mandatory minimum sale price of $2.99.
@@anasazirose I now donate to the smaller shops that are just local, plus I think half the breakage is from the way its treated in the back
Yes here in Tucson they price Justin boots at $50 😱
That was a great idea of picking up the cupcake pan
