    Really cool design. I will have an AMS “enclosure/holder” coming out fairly soon, over Christmas break. Our community rules!

    I see that both versions call for bolts. Do they require corresponding washers and nuts, or does it thread into the print (plastic) itself?
    Thank you!

      yes they do tread into the print itself, works like a charm

    Interesting design. Why is the bottom part with the logo so tall? I get you have the upper part which slides into it, but that lower part seems to be 3x taller than it needs to be. Wouldn't it be more stable if it was less tall?

    • @aim6mac
      @aim6mac  11 месяцев назад +6

      you are right it would have been better if it was shorter , however this design only works this way since the hotend otherwise collides with the filament spools (when you print tall object or after a print has finished)

    Hello! Great video! I'm still waiting for the A1 but I'm trying to figure out how to make it fit inside a cabinet and this seems to be the solution. Could you please let me know the total height needed for this setup? From A1 feet to the AMS feeding pipes with the A1 in the highest position... Thanks in advance! Cheers

    • @aim6mac
      @aim6mac  11 месяцев назад +1

      with 80 cm in total height (with ams lite PTFE tubing including) you will be fine , although keep in mind that when changing the filaments on the ams lite system, u will need to either have a moveable bottom in the cabinet or removeable top ontop of it.

      Can you print the parts on the A1 or are they to big?

    • @aim6mac
      @aim6mac  11 месяцев назад +2

      @@sundance2005 you can, there are two profiles, one for A1mini

    Seem a bit too tall? Can will 2cm lower in the base, will it affect petformance?
    Thanks for making another idea how to save space for AMS!
    Do you need to change a longer tube or using existing one?

    • @aim6mac
      @aim6mac  11 месяцев назад

      i left around 1 or 2 cm gap between the hotend assembly and the ams lite system just to be sure it won't collide with the filament spools, this way it works flawlessly, been verified and tested by me personally

    Your video cuts off half the AMS system, we cant see the top. It would be nice if you should how to assemble it, as well. Cool design, though.

    What's that circle print? You should print a ghosting / ringing tower if you wanna see how much the weight on top creates artifacts.

    Currently printing now. I had I glob form on the ams bracket(the pc that goes into the rectangle part like a sleeve) seems to be from the support failing and globbing up. It ended up correctly 6 or so layers up. The print turned out fine still!

    How did you attach the horizontal piece to the top attachment. I see the holes but am unsure if I need more bolts or should just glue it?

    • @aim6mac
      @aim6mac  10 месяцев назад

      are you talking about the ams lite holes? if so those are the bolts that u unscrew from the original stand. If not it says which bolts u need in the video

    Isn't there a risk of the paper reel on the printer? (ex. pulling a tangled filament)

    • @aim6mac

      no, the bambu a1 mini has protection against tangled filament, (it will stop printing when it happens)
