I love going up and down
I think this is one of the most underrated coasters out there. I've ridden Fahrenheit no less than 100 times over the past decade+change and it is still a blast (although definitely a bit rougher today than it was a decade ago.) The lift hill is extremely disorienting, and then the moment you gain your bearing you go straight into action that continues from start until the very end without respite. It's not a record breaking coaster, nor is it a historical coaster, and it's not one with the bragging rights of hyper and giga coasters, but this coaster is just snappy and fun. The new generation restraints make it even better as well.
I had a school trip to Hershey last year and the first thing my friends wanted to do was go on this coaster. Before then, I had never been on one before. Fahrenheit was my first one ever! Frightening tho
Wow, that's quite the introduction to roller coasters! (My first ever was the Trailblazer, when I was a kid. I often suggest that people who are new to looping coasters try the sooperdooperLooper as their first one.)

Pranab Jha skyrush and storm runner are way more intense than fahrenheit tho
The ride itself isnt scary. It's just that first initial rise and drop that's scary. The rest of It is pretty fun ^^

I went on this twice yesterday both times being only a 25 minute wait because it was a little rainy, but this is probably my favorite rollercoaster ever.

Even with a bit of rain it took you 25 minutes? AT KENNYWOOD I WAS IN LINE FOR THE EXTERMINATOR ANT IT TOOK AN HOUR BTW ITS A 2 MINUTE WILD MOUSE COASTER
DUDE, I've never seen Fahrenheit's line so short! Both times I've ridden this ride it's taken me about 45 minutes to get to the front. That's the only thing I hate about this coaster. Otherwise, it's awesome.

I've seen Fahrenheit's line mostly be short when I'm there, even if it is the middle of the summer. This is always the first ride i go on to ensure i don't waste my time. Last year when i went, my sister and I got on front row seats,twice in a row because that was the first thing we went on.

KentuckyWallChicken I used to live there in hershey. The best times to go are on tuesdays, or later on sunday nights. If you go after a certain time on sunday, i'm pretty sure it's actually free admission. But as for the lines I was able to get front seat within 10-20 minutes.

Just went on the Fahrenheit coaster today. Awesome ride! That 121ft drop is nice. Then you are upside down 6 times, no straight runs, just loops, barrel rolls and tight turns nonstop. For a shorter ride than some coasters it is 100% worth it. Loved this one. We rode Candymonium, Fahrenheit, Great Bear, Super Dooper Looper, Comet, and Wildcat. I am torn which is best, Candymonium, Great Bear and Fahrenheit were fantastic coasters. The hidden gem and surprise was the Wildcat. For such an old wooden coaster it was pretty good. Short to no wait in line were due to everyone wanting to ride the top newer coasters. Those old wooden coasters are more terrifying than the new ones. Makes you think they are going to fall apart, they are the furthest thing from a smooth ride. An extremely rough ride on the Wildcat. For something that does not even do a loop or barrel rolls it pulls some hard turns and G force for only a 45mph coaster. The Wildcat is a very fun old coaster. Fahrenheit might be my favorite overall or a tie with Candymonium and Great Bear. I only wish we could have rode more than 6 coasters but, that was due to the waiting in long lines. Next time I am buying the Speed Pass. Herschey Park is a great amusement park for coasters. Awesome day. Next trip I will hit all the other coasters we missed. Thumbs up on this vid!

Fahrenheit at Hershey Park also has a whopping 97 degree drop, which is 7 degrees beyond vertical!!!!!!!
That extra 7 degrees makes you feel like you're about the flip upside when you go over the top. Scary as hell!

I was just at Hershey Park on the 5th of August, (today is the 9th,) and this ride has the gnarliest fall. It’s way up there, you can see if clearly from miles away.

Just curious what browser do you use to upload your videos with, what os are you using, and what do you put for you info about the video when placing ads? Cause I have been having problems with ads not immediately being placed on my video and it goes for days with my video being private yet it says its enabled for revenue sharing and I have to email youtube to place the ads. It used to place them immediately but im curious what you do?

Jake Martell It might seem weird but it’s actually a setup for getting the heartline of the next element right. If you’ve ever seen a turn right after a launch, most Intamins do this too, albeit to a lesser extent.
everyone's reaction when they go over the main drop is PERFECT!!!
Its the very first set of inversions after the first drop, seen in this video between roughly 0:54-1:03. It is basically a dive loop leading directly into an Immelman. It starts with a half inline twist which rolls you inverted before dropping you into an inside loop from the top down instead of the bottom up. When this loop is complete and you come out on top upside down, you get another half inline twist to bring you back to a heads up orientation before moving on to the next element, a cobra roll in the case of Fahrenhype.

One of my favorites. I get a season pass to Hershey park every year, since we live about 15 minutes away. Now that I'm retired I have a lot more time to go. This is usually the first ride I go to after the main park opens because that's the only time the line's short.
This ride is incredible and is definitely one of my all-time favorites!!!!!!!!

I just went on that today and let me tell you, the 180 degree part at the beginning feels like you are going to fall out
180 degrees? Its only 97 and its supposed to make you feel like your going to fall out, its the sensation that coasters were made to have.
@@softwalnut179 by 180 degrees they mean the fact you turn 187 degrees from straight up to 97 degree vertical drop.
Also, some coasters are not designed with airtime in mind, such as wild mice or B&M inverts.

I've always called it Fahrenhype. It seems like the ad campaign is centered on that short little steep section on the drop when they have one of only two Norwegian loops in the world and the only one in the US. Who does hershey's advertising anyway?

When I was laying pretty much on my back being hitched up that hill, I started to freak out that "we made a mistake! oh god! what did I get myself into!". Once it was over, I could not stop screaming how awesome it was. That drop was amazing.
I really want to go this but I live in Canada. It sucks that I can't go to the USA for theme parks very often. At least in my country I a giga, 2 hypers, an amazing triple looping indoor coaster, a Batman The Ride clone and an amazing woodie from the 50's.

My favorite ride at Hershey, I went on that yesterday for the first time and I screamed my head off
This rides amazing, ive ridden it more than 5 x in the front and plus its one of the smoothest rides ever.
Last year I went on the front row and it was really early and the first ride of the day and the sun was blinding me because it is straight up. A few years earlier it got shut down because of a solar eclipse and I was there hahahaha

I just got on this jawn yesterday, I didn’t even scream as I thought I was. I was about to have a literal anxiety attack as we started to go upwards.
What made this ride less scary for me was the fact I was told to take my glasses off, so I can’t see much without my glasses. And I was tapping my legs against the floor the entire ride.
That is pretty much the logic of heights. The suspense is greater than the outcome.
This is my favorite ride in the park. Very well rounded and smooth
Hershey Park must love Intamin, Storm Runner, Fahrenheit, and then a new coaster next year from the same company.

I rode this at night, pitch dark, and in one of the rear seats. Going up I could only look at the seat in front of me. Had no idea where the top of the hill was until the car in front of me started to dip. AWESOME!

One of the best coasters there!
My best guess is because the vertical lift puts the entire weight of the train on the chain, unlike a lift at a lower angle where the weight is split between the track and the chain. The dual chain system reduces the stress on each individual chain and lowers the chance of one breaking and also the maintenance needed on the chains.
Again, thats just my best guess.
Strong contender for my favorite coaster in the park.
I live in Pittsburgh by Kennywood park I've heard of Hershey Park before and I had no idea they had this many badass coasters this one here looks insane I got to get out to Hershey this summer
I waited about 2-3 hours to get on that ride, but, it was totally worth it!!!!!
The other norwegian loop is on Speedmonster at Tusenfryd, Norway, just outside Oslo
Sidewinder's fun. It's nothing to write home about, but definitely worth the ride. It's really not all that rough either. The new restraints are pretty great and I think they help make it more enjoyable.
Well, regardless of whether or not Oblivion is vertical (it doesn't matter that much really) there is a clear, visual difference between a picture of, say, oblivion, and a picture of something like Fahrenheit or Saw. If you simply take the time to look at a picture of the drops it is pretty clear which is steeper.
ok it was very nerve wracking standing in that damn line for like 15 hours but it was worth it. it looks scary but it goes by quick and it’s actually quite fun
Went on this for the first time Saturday! (10 years old) it was so scary but in the end it’s my favorite ride now

@christhenerd8 Only the track design is similar. Eurofighters are made by Gerstlauer, and this is Intamin. Intamin tends to do longer and more unique rides than Gerstlauer, as Gerstlauer tends to stick with very similar layouts. This ride is much different, though it does have a vertical lift (I believe it's the only Intamin to have one, if not there are few) and more-than-vertical drop.

When I went last year on this, my boyfriend and I were in line for... I feel like a bit over 2 hours. Totally worth it though. By the time you get to the ride your pretty much like "Screw it if I'm scared I need to sit down." lol. But if you want to go on this, because this is the second to newest one they have its still going to be really busy, I suggest going on this one in the beginning of your trip because this is in the back of Hershey.... and most people start at the front.

Holy shit!! The first drop and the first corkscrew is insane. I almost puke on my keyboard just watching it. That has to be one of the most intense coasters I've evern seen. Thank goodness, I'll never be able to ride any of these crazy rides. The most I can handles is Space Mountain at Disney. That's enough for me.
