  • An overnight bikepacking adventure to Mt Fainter North.
To test my new Sea To Summit sleeping bag Alpine 3.
Steep hills and nice scenery, mist, and clouds for the most part.
    On my Fat bike.

Hello Chris, I would reckon there'd be deep snow there at the moment. Timing is everything. On the flip side, your new sleeping bag would have had a colder test.

I'm sure there would be. Falls creek got 16cm in the last 24 hrs. If my boots weren't wet, I would have stayed. Soon again.

A hot chocolate in that weather is one of the greatest things ever.
Good to see you riding again.

I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your content. I would like to know your thoughts on your front suspension fork.

Thanks. The Lauf forks. Very expensive. Carbon fibre. Are they good. I'm still not sure. They do take out some of the bumps. I want to be able to load them up. I'm still fine-tuning. They definitely don't take out as many bumpsas a suspension fork. I think I'm going to like them in the end. . Haven't tested them with corrugated bumps with a load. I've got the ones for 80kg weight and I'm only 70kg. Got told to do this. Not sure if it's right or wrong?. Sorry for a strange answer. I'll know more when I've done a few more tours with them. Cheers Chris.

Hi mate, is the West Kiewa Logging rd a quicker route up than Big Hill? its longer by distance compared to Big Hill Fire Track , curious to know why you took this route??

I used to go that way. Just found this easier. Haven't timed it to see which is faster. ?
