In my mind, the idea of a hell that has no end suggests a God who needs revenge. Vengefulness is a characteristic of human, mortal, 'natural' men. If we are vengeful we are in need of repentance. God, being perfect and having no need of repentance, cannot be vengeful. When we think that God wants to punish us out of a sense of revenge, we are attributing to Him a human, fallen characteristic. I believe the sufferings of the unrepentant are a natural consequence of the sin. Yes, those sufferings will be sore, but Christ in His mercy will still redeem almost everyone when their time is right.

Final death means blotted out, translated. As if you NEVER existed. Uncreated . Like going back in time, once you're blotted out, you never existed.

With all do respect I don't think the idea about hell is revenge. I think it's more about justice since God is a righteous judge. A judge does not sentence someone to jail because he wants revenge on them but because duty demands it. Likewise God does not punish anyone because he seeks vengeance upon them but because he us judging their Sinful deeds. Maybe we are saying the same thing but I'm curious to find out!
