Great video! I disassemble my Vigilante then ordered some seals. I laid all the parts out so I would remember how it went back together. Well, after 2 months and the parts getting scrambled, I don't think I could have reassembled it without your video. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much, as mentioned by others great video! I especially appreciate the fact you keep your hands clear from the parts so I can see what you are doing many other videos are upside down/peoples hands are in the way etc. I was able to fully refurbish my .356-4. Keep up the great work mate!
Well done, sir. All I needed was to replace the urethane latch piece but as I took the gun apart, bits would come loose. With the help of this vid, I disassembled and reassembled to factory beauty. Thanks so much for posting this.
Thanks so much for your video. My relatively new Vigilante leaked, took it apart, found bits of mold flash and other crud, now it doesn't leak, but was a bit lost where some of the pieces needed to go!
I had a ripped seal on the top piston took it apart and super glued the little rubber seal- no more leaks im planning on getting a seal kit for around 14.00 bucks- thanks nice video
Super !! perso cette video ma permis de refaire fonctionner mon Crosman!! et de plus jai rebandé le ressort de poussé du chien... une tuerie de précision et de fiabilité
Very helpful! BTW not a fan of the music when I watched it at full speed, but I slowed the video down to quarter speed and that music is sooo trippy when slowed down. Anyway THANKS!
I have done lite work on air pistols - the barrel won’t stay locked - I guess it needs part 357- 021 latch support? The main thing is you can’t get it to puncture the c02. It doesn’t go deep enough to puncher the c02. I screwed it out everything looked good - screwed it back in till it bottom out and still did not puncher the c02.
my first shot is fine but then the rest of the "round clip" that the pellets are in become misaligned and won't shoot anymore. I have to manually fidget with the "round clip" to make it work. help.
Thanks! i can Reassemble my daisy powerline 44 but i dont understand the function of the (metal stick) that you removed at 1:09, because ,in my revolver, this lock the trigger and i only can shoot moving the firing pin. I have to change the seals because the Co2 gas leaked out then i can use the pistol again!. PD: Sory if my english its bad but i am argentinian and im studing.
No problem man. Don't worry about your English. That metal stick is what I believe keeps the trigger locked back where you can fire "single action". I don't know about the powerline 44 but there is surely something similar unless the revolver is "double action" only. Maybe someone else can chime in here and sorry if this video isn't exactly like yours. My revolver is 20 plus years old and I am sure there have been many improvements since. Gracias por la vista!
That was nice of CAH to reply to question, very few ever respond to questions. I'm no expert in air guns but I've broken enough of them to have learned a few things. Some air guns look the same but are not. The teardown you saw was on a Crosman co2 not a Daisy so the internal parents will be different but you now have a good I'd how it works and you're less likely to damage it. If I were I wouldn't disassemble the entire gun because the gentleman doing the video had a great deal of knowledge and you may never be able to get it back together. I would only go as far as taking off the side cover to clean lube it without doing an entire break down as you probably don't to do that yet at this point. Try to find some oil made for specifically for co2 guns and place a few drops on any rubber gasket you can see and also on top of the co2 cylinders before installing them, this will push the oil through and that might be enough to reseal the leaking seals and you only waist a few cylinders but will have a working gun, not one in Peace's. I've heard that transmission oil will but I have not tried it. Also go on Google and serch for Daisy forms or airgun forms that can provide details for your specific gun. Good luck
ive got a vigilante (a more modern and advanced version) i opened it up and took out the parts this isnt an exact model but it jsut might help witht the rebuilding thanks dude
Great video very informative and detailed, now I'll just have to figure out how to use the slow motion feature on my tablet. I have a much older one then yours it was my first air gun and is 45 years old. Mine is all metal and the the barrel is fixed and you have to load it one at a time like a cowboy gun. I happened across it yesterday and was stuck from old oil in the mechanism. Your gun is very similar to mine and I plan on using the info that you provided to give it some TLC to get it back to like new condition. In its day this was the gun to have because it was so similar to the real gun to practice with and that was what the police used as duty weapons. By using this gun daily when I was in the police academy I was able to win best shot twice and win the trophy. You were not allowed to take your gun home until you graduated so I got nightly practice in with this gun while the other guys could practice at the range. Thanks for posting and sharing I plan on getting right on it.
I had this gun for a while and its been 8 years u made this video and idk if you'll respond but the little plastic cube you put at the end is broken and i wonder if you know where I could get one
I believe you mean the plastic block that goes for the release latch? I have not been able to source any way other than eBay. There are plenty of kits out there. You may look on Amazon as well. Hope this helps.
You're not gonna get 900fps but it will do 600. Push the barrel back from the front and superglue it. That's it....you can get more fps by drilling the skirts out a bit.. But be careful with that. I've gotten 950 fps doing that and it is the only way to do it without spending $$.
I still have mine from the 80s I've always had a problem of them leaking from the transfer tube from the CO2 to the valve trigger thing I remember trying to Lead solder Silicone it JB welded And many other things I've tried still leak to this day I wish someone will come up with some kind of hack to fix this permanently
If its leaking from the seals you need to take them apart- i had a tiny rip on mine and i super glued it- im still getting a seal kit (highly recommend) some pistons need a special tool you can make your self on my model the brand new 2019 cr 357 (black grips) has a tiny clip holding the piston in place also when you order the kit it brings the tube, seals and screen for around 14.00 bucks
Mines wont shoot pellets anymore. I noticed its distance and velocity dropping and now it wont even shoot. I've wasted many co2 cartridges and idk whats the problem.
Hey Jeremy. I honestly wish there was a way to reduce the pressure. There is no way that I know of. I would think there is aftermarket solutions available but not sure. Maybe in a future video I can post a solution for you. All the best.
Hello, I was wondering if you can answer a question for me about the button that allows the barrel to "crack" open. Its been years since I've handled it. When I open the barrel to load a disc into it, I seems that the lock didn't want to spring back up. Would you know what is needed? Is it a spring of some kind? Thanks!
I wish there was a spring there. If you take it apart, it is a gummy, rubber that rests underneath the release. You can replace with aftermarket parts or even cut intertube rubber (with the same thickness) as a quick fix. THIS IS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING FLAW WITH THE AIR TOOL. All the best sir!
mine blew up after I tried disassembling it with gas still in it so me and my mates spent the next 3 hours picking up the parts and reassembling it lmao
my roomate just got one of these from his aunt and when we try and put a co2 cartridge in all the gas seems to escape from both ends of the brass tube is my best guess. does anyone know what the problem would be and how to fix it?
Try wrap both ends with teflon tape and push the rod in tightly. Otherwise the cap has expanded or "blown wider" making the brass pipe unseat. Give it a go and see what happens.
(That's where that pin goes in that hole built into the trigger)after that lift it up from the longer end of the spring toward the barrel in one motion up and over and down to create the spring tension)
I would say it is more than likely the seal around the cap that punctures the CO2 canister. Since you hopefully know how to disassemble the unit, start looking for replacement seals. Check online. I bought the whole rebuild kit for mine. I pretty much just drop the whole assembly in. Are you saying you bought the kit and it is still leaking? Need more info. Thanks!
Hey. This was the original grip Crosman came out with in 90's. It's actually plastic made to look wooden. If you like them you can find them on those online auction sites. Thanks for the comment.
Hi there I saw your video, liked it and subbed. I went to your channel and noticed that you haven't done anything for quite some time what happened? I did notice that you respond to questions so I figurd I give you a shot. I have quite a few air guns mostly vintage. Some are really hard to find info on. I have a Daisy power line model 2003 , 30 shot co2 repeater BB pistol. I haven't been able to find any information on it at all. It has a round red tube that holds the 30 BB but I can't figure out how to load the BBs in it. Any idea?
Hey Luis. I have been transitioning to a whole new part of the U.S. with work and what not. I monitor messages and hope to upload again. As for the red "Mag-Clip" you are referring to is BB loads and I think this will help. I think they made red tubes for pellet and one for BB's (could be wrong). I had a friend that had one and honestly he loaded it when we shot. Check this video out: www.dailymotion.com/video/x182eto Hope it helps.
I guess im the only one that has trouble seeing through you fingers ...i had to rewatch several times to figure out where the springs and other stuff goes. Ill have to admit this has helped, but your video could be slowed down 50% and after inserting a part let the viewers absorb that action before continuing with another part. Also it wouldn't hurt to zoom in. I'm watching on my phone. So I'm further along than i was,but the pieces fell out of the top area a little coil spring a plastis plunger that goes against the round cylinder that the trigger falls onto...well ill have to take a stab in the dark on that one. Also there is the little plastic spacer im not sure exactly how the sits. Is there a slower more detailed version you can direct me too. Thanks for what you have done. I know ive thought if doing how to videos but i know its not easy. Thanks again
Hi there. This was a difficult one to record back in the day for me. You know you can slow the video speed down? Check the playback settings... Initial high speed is for familiarity and then you can slow it down for true comprehension/retention.
I just bought one used at a flea market for 7 Bucks! When putting a CO2 cylinder in it leaks out within about 5 Seconds really fast. But I know the gas is getting through the system because it will fire while leaking very bad. Looked at the seal around the puncture needle I noticed that it is cracked... where is the best spot to buy one?
Hey man. Good find! I assume the crack is in the seal....I think that's what you meant. Anyway, go online to our favorite online auction site and search "crosman 357 seal" and you'll find it. I think it is called the valve gasket. Those gaskets ALWAYS fail over time. Take a pick or something to get it out. It'll be a little tricky getting it back in but I always push while moving the ring in a circular motion. That seems to be effective in seating to properly. Holler if you need anything else. Thanks for watching and take care.
+CheapAssHack yep that was what it was it was the seal that was bad after installing the new one that works like a champ. :-) Powerful for a CO2 pistol. thanks for the video and the feedback. Now to get some more magazines. :-)
upper pressurechamber falure so it would fire with out mag in it but the sound from just the top pistion ejector was not that strong i placed a finger 1 inch from it testing co pressure it diddent put that much out so it would not push a pellet out of a full mag not one you could see the gas come out the berrel but with them pellets in no gas only out the side not enoughf power to push it throu worn out co2 air gun
Alan, you think you just might need to replace the worn out seals? They are available on that famous online bidding site. There is also a complete rebuild kit that includes the pipe and the whole nine yards. Check it out.
It ain't wrong, it just the 10 shot magazine. They shipped them with two black and one grey back in the day, bet you still can pick those mag kits up to fix these esthetics ;)
I have the same gun and the release tab on the top doesn't work it's like there's no spring or whatever they use to keep it locked do u know of an easy fix
Hi. You are right, there is no spring. It is this spongy, black, wedge-shaped piece of plastic that always fails over time. Check to see if it is stuck under the latch mechanism. You can make your own replacement by taking a "pink pet" pencil eraser and cutting it to form a wedge and going that route. I hope that makes sense. I should make a video on that as well. Let me know if I need to elaborate.
Nicely presented and very nice condition, how ever 4:25...no, just no. Gun is loaded, even if you just check it aint, cause gun is ALWAYS loaded and should be treated like it is. Human error is a thing and you might have missed pellet in the cylinder and/or there could be potentially be pellet stuck in barrel.. and you go test firing it while holding your hand front of it...There has been cops who have been trained in gun safety have made the same mistake and shot their hand off...though that is not saying much, but never the less. Simply put long as it shoot projectile treat it as firearm and learn proper gun safety, it will save you from lots of potential pain in future.
an a-hole cop wanted me to surrender my co2 pistol at a bullshit traffic stop. I beat the case and got my property and fortunately the cop respected my right to not surrender the gun but it came to me in pieces with a note that said "I told you so". hoping this vid does the trick else I'm filing for damages. I know it's petty but I usually let things go and it's not right
Бля,решил по приколу разобрать данный револьвер,но потом понял что я его не соберу обратно и знаете,я вот не думал что я буду смотреть какого-то поколоту и делать всё в точности за ним...
My son brought me the revolver in a bag (of pieces) and I was able to make the darned thing work - thanks...
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!

Worn out teeth on the rotary magazine is the likely culprit.

mine leaks air.. I don't know where it leak from but it get really cold at the grips. any seals or oilring I need to change..what can I do?? thank!!

Check this video out: www.dailymotion.com/video/x182eto
Hope it helps.
Wow how do you do that so fast? Thanks for sharing man.
Time lapse
@@CheapAssHack oh ya right, thanks.
@@wynottgivemore9274 Please let me know if I can help though. Just DM me.
Bien mexicano aguebo!!!
😁👍
you still around?
Sure thing. What can I help you with?
I have the same 357. Need a site that lists parts. Cheers.
@@CheapAssHack what’s the the name of the song Please
Bro I have the same gun that’s why I’m here but mine has a gold trigger and the grip is black
Nice...
upper pressurechamber falure so it would fire with out mag in it but the sound from just the top pistion ejector was not that strong i placed a finger 1 inch from it testing co pressure it diddent put that much out so it would not push a pellet out of a full mag not one you could see the gas come out the berrel but with them pellets in no gas only out the side not enoughf power to push it throu worn out co2 air gun
Alan, you think you just might need to replace the worn out seals? They are available on that famous online bidding site. There is also a complete rebuild kit that includes the pipe and the whole nine yards. Check it out.
mine has the wrong or different long silver piece ;-;
I know it's petty but I usually let things go and it's not right
Bruhh that sucks. Hopfuly you wasn't missing any components.
can u fix mine please bro
Бля,решил по приколу разобрать данный револьвер,но потом понял что я его не соберу обратно и знаете,я вот не думал что я буду смотреть какого-то поколоту и делать всё в точности за ним...
