I spat out my drink when you didn't want to wait for the traffic lights and just wanted to cross like in Egypt.
You're officially Egyptian.
🤣
@27:11 for the Biryani !!! one of my favorite dishes // Greetings from California
Ahaha wow, thanks man, so generous! You bought me 2 biryani!!!!😅🙌🙏🙏
I completely understand. You want to be somewhere with character and authenticity. Dubai looks like a Middle Eastern version of Las Vegas.
😂 intro (This is boring!! Let's go!) I've been watching your videos for the past two weeks as I'm preparing myself for my return to Cairo... First time there was 2013 😊 I'm super excited. 😊
😄😁Welcome back! 😍🇪🇬

Your Arabic is great
I'm proud of you.
Thank you for taking me on your travel, i wanted to go to Dubai, but i don’t think so now 🙈 to modern for my idea, i just love the Egypt vibe ❤
I notice very litle arab speaking people, most Afghanistan, pakistani enz
Yes I agree, most of the Sellers are migrant non-arabs.
She spoke to them in Arabic but they could not understand her. Hence they kept on speaking to her in English.
Yes, Egypt has vibe. They are very much gregarious nation.
Good choice and really nice to see you traveling in Dubai 😎👊
Like I told you a couple of weeks ago , hope te see you in the begin of April in Cairo 🙏👌
And you should told me about the camera, I could take it with me from the Netherlands 😊
Oh that's very kind of you, but I couldn't impose. Besides, I had so many different things I needed to get, it really did require a trip and a few days to get it all. I appreciate that though, very kind of you 🙏
Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience with us. You seemed a little bored, but the places you went to & and the commentary were very sincere ❤
Haha! Definitely very bored, but it was still an experience, and I'm glad I got to see a little bit of Dubai. Now I know: Dubai isn't for me! 😆 And I got my cameras, which was the entire purpose of me going to Dubai in the first place 😅🙌
Awww, your energy seems kinda sad in this video. I think you love the livelihood of Cairo and that keeps you genuinely happy. 😊Anyway, I love your channel! I’m watching all your Egyptian temples content as I’m visiting on a group tour soon and I’m making notes of the ones I have to see. Thank you for sharing your experiences, you inspire me to keep traveling too. Take care! 🙂
Thank you MsLex! I totally agree, Cairo and Egypt is just more my vibes, I absolutely love it and can't wait to get back already 😅 If your preferences are anything like mine, I am sure you will love it! ❤
@@Gventures I said to you before that drinking from the Nile has a strange and magic force..and you did not believe 😉👽
@@asemabdelaziz-w4u Asem, you weren't the first person to say that to me, I'd heard it from many Egyptians when I first arrived, so it has nothing to do with belief. And I already knew I loved Egypt, it's why I stayed and never left in the first place. I came for travel, fell in love with Egypt and stayed. I know myself very well, thank you.
Very nice vlog, as always, but like you I prefer Egypt. ❤ I can't wait to see more videos from Egypt. P.S. I love your Arabic!
Lol yeah I love Egypt. And thanks for the Arabic comment, I'm trying! It's a difficult language 😳
I am learning it through your videos, I can only say Shukran and la la la 😂😂😂😂 Don't think that's enough though. My YT channel has 2 different names, don't ask me why 🤷♂️😂

In April we will visit Dubai
Enjoy!
I used to live in Dubai 10 years ago. I don't remember the old town being like that at all, wow, it's very turistic now, that's crazy. I used to live in Bur Dubai but I had a pretty good job there so I was enjoying my life in the most fancy places so... what I can tell you that might be of your interest or not is... Madinat Jumeirah is a beautiful place to go and have dinner (expensive) and just walk around. Dubai Mall is huge, you have to just go and visit, there is a light show there in the foutains all the time which is pretty nice and is free. If you cross the wooden bridge, there are some nice restaurants and beautiful architecture to see. Going to the palm and enter the Atlantis hotel is cool, when I was living there they would let you in and walk around some areas just to have a look, for free. Barasti beach is good to have a drink at night. 360 bar is also nice but I think you would get bored really quickly ahahah But from what I hear from friends that I still have there, things have changed alot so... I'm sure there's many other places to explore. Hope you have fun but be prepared to spend a "little" xD
Emirates is so nice country,, good choice to get all your electronics shopping 🔥😍
Egypt seems more beautiful and has a nicer vibe to be honest
I agree! There's no vibe in Dubai 😆 I love Egypt ❤
Love your videos! 😘
I love your presence in Egypt very much. I hope you return to Egypt soon
I am from Mansoura and I hope you will visit it
Lol I'll be back very soon, I don't like Dubai and I already miss Egypt😅
Ha ha ha came back from Egypt other day. Went to the food shop to buy Garlic and they wanted just under 4 English pounds! everywhere is expensive compared to Egypt! Can't wait to head back!
It’s good to you venturing into other countries which are aggressive-hustle free and you’re respected a lot. I don’t even know how you can live in a place like Egypt. I don’t have the kind of patience you have with people.
Lol you obviously didn't even watch 2 seconds of the video
@@Gventuresright!!😂😂

I love your content. Thanks G
Thank you!
I’ve always wanted to work on a ship too! I even thought about being a captain 😊
Haha, that's awesome. It really is a dream. I don't know that I would put in the work to become a captain, but I'd certainly work in the galley or scrubbing floors or whatever the hell else needs to be done to earn my keep. Get your captain's license and then take me on board! 😅
In August the beach water is so warm almost like a hot tub, is that true? So if you go from frying pan hot weather into Dubai beach in summer , it doesn't sufficiently cool you to feel good all the time
No idea, it's not August and I am not swimming
As always love your video the spices market was so cool travel safe Hugs from little me in Melbourne xo
You liked the spice market? It ain't got nuthin on Egypt! 😆 Very fake feeling to me, but I guess I'm spoiled living in Egypt 😅 Thanks for watching Eva ❤
@@Gventures I did not like how they were bothering you when I said like the spice market I ment loved the spices never seen here in Melbourne we buy them in little packs in the supermarket one day when I come to Egypt will go to one their and have a field day Hug xo
@@evamosbauer2865 Haha yeah the markets have similar vendors in Egypt too, but the markets are way more interesting and fun in Egypt, in my opinion. Any market in the east is more interesting than the supermarkets in the west though, I 100% agree
Hi G! I was so shocked when I got home from work today. Was about to continue watching your Egypt videos (me and my son will have a short vacation end of this month) and found out you're actually here! I'm so happy! ❤ yes, it is expensive though. Brought my mom and dad last month in Dubai and cost me at least 20k dirhams for 1month expense 😂. Hope you would get to see JBR/Bluewaters
It's a VERY quick trip, only a few days. I'm here to just get my cameras and get out, because I knew it was going to be expensive 😅 But I'll sightsee a little, mostly free things though. I don't plan to go to any expensive restaurants or enter any places that cost money, I'm already spending too much on this trip buying all the recording gear for the channel 😅 Be back in Egypt soon with more videos, Thanks April! 🙏 😎
Oof nunca me ha llamado la attencion. Me duele pensar cuantos sufrieron construyendo ese gawdy pueblo. Thanks for confirming my thoughts
No sé mucho sobre Dubai, hubo algo aquí antes? Ciertamente utilizaron mano de obra "barata" para construir esta ciudad. Y es aburrido y caro. ¡Esta ciudad es basura!
Difference between UAE and Egypt you are treated and welcomed by the local people who live in Egypt unlike the UAE you are treated welcomed by foreign expats who went to UAE to make a living don't be so shocked about the prices that are extremely overwhelming for everybody great vlog and lovely old Deira city center peace and love
Thank you, I appreciate that. 🙏 I knew what to expect when I came here so it wasn't too shocking, but I had to find out for myself. My suspicions were true 🤣 Anyways, I got my cameras, that's what I'm here for 😅
Congratulations on getting your items looking forward seeing your next vlog stay safe god bless@@Gventures
GVentures,
Sis, your Arabic is bang on.
By the way, those people in the Market are non-Arabs and hardly speak Arabic. You spoke to them in Arabic and they were like.... "What is she saying"
🤣Haha yeah, I kinda noticed that because they were asking "Masry?" which means Egyptian, but the male version of it. They should have asked me "Masraya?"
I didn't have many opportunities to use my Arabic in Dubai, I was kinda disappointed by that😅
@@Gventures because only 10% of the population in UAE are Arab citizens the rest are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Afghanistan etc etc don't be disappointed the Arabic language is widely used around the world especially for oil rigs, tanker maritime industry and they are handsomely rewarded also 🌹♥️
@@VIPxB Haha, yeah I know I thought about making a video interviewing people on the streets just to ask them where they are from and see how many Emirati I could find, but it sounds like a pain in the ass and very time consuming, so I said screw it. Thank VIP 😁🙏
How much the expanses over all . I know the flight in Egypt are cheap there

Be going to Egypt and stay there for 4 months … explore the whole Egypt
Tell us the details in UAE
In August in Dubai you can fry an agg on Street Asphalt. The saying goes. It's that hot!
Well you can do that in many places, I've seen it done in the US
Why did you leave Egypt? Will you come back again? 🥺
If you watch the video, I tell you why I am in Dubai
As thought, when you are back in Egypt, have u considered a trip to Minya? Went about 10ys ago, very friendly place, lovely spot on Nile and Amarna itself very atmospheric n not many tourists go there.
I actually drove through Minya on my motorcycle trip from Cairo to Abu Simbel last year. Unfortunately, I didn't end up exploring it much because the police escort got in the way. But I passed through, and it seemed nice. I have many other trips around the country planned, when I have some time to take them.
I use Dubai as a transit point for places further east. I always thought it was quite reasonable compared to Europe but even compared to SE Asia. I have never paid more than £25 for a hotel room on Agoda and Deira is full of cheap Indian places to eat. Often the biryani places will offer extra portions of rice too. If you do anything 'Western' it's going to cost you Western but no charges for the beaches!
Yeah, I pretty much ate only at Indian restaurants while in Dubai 🤣 I stayed in a dorm and the price was not great for the quality, but I guess I am also used to traveling in places like South and Southeast Asia, and I live in Egypt, so of course it is cheaper here. It was an interesting experience visiting Dubai though, and most importantly I got what I needed - camera gear!
Hi Dubai , take my money 😊 , have a nice trip 💐
Ha!
@@Gventures❤️🌹take care there 🕊️💐❤️🌹
Not on my list of places to visit. Thanks for sharing.
Haha, mine either! Ah well, at least I will get my cameras 🤣 Can't wait to get back to Egypt
You are lucky you didn't visit it in summer! 🥵.. gomira palms is a nice place if you want to visit it
Not lucky, I intentionally went before summer! I would have never gone during the summer. And I will never go back 😅
Gisselle you better go back to Cairo before they take all your money there 😃,Dubai has everything you could think of except what you really want to see in the Middle East, Honestly I think a walk in Khan Elkhalili in Cairo or the old town in Jerusalem or a historic Market in Damascus is more satisfying than anything Dubai can offer, Deep history simple way of life and genuine people is what I like about this part of the world
100%! I already knew that coming in, the only reason I am here is for cameras 😅 Of course, I'm going to walk around and see a little bit, but nothing is a surprise here because it's exactly as expected. I was trying to keep an open mind, give Dubai the benefit of the doubt (maybe my assumptions about it being a rich, fake city were wrong), but no....it is artificial, expensive and boring. It lacks culture and history (sorry Dubai!). So, as soon as I landed I was already itching to go back to Egypt. I'll be back there very soon. And I got my cameras, which was the whole reason for coming here. Mission accomplished 😅
Lol, are you from MN? I live in MN and we are visiting Egypt this spring. Should I bring something for you from here?
I really am from MN 😄 That is very sweet of you to ask, but I really don't need anything, thank you so much 🙏 But welcome to Cairo! You're going to love it. First time in Egypt?
@@Gventures yes. It will be a unique venture for my kids, my husband, and myself. Looking forward to be there. 😊

When you going back to Egypt? What month if you don’t mind me asking
Why?
I was just curious. You don't have to tell me if you don't feel confortable. I like watching your videos when you are over there in Egypt. Lot of good info.
@@mauricemoultrie7362 Thanks Maurice. I'm only in Dubai for a few days and then heading back, thankfully. Really don't like Dubai, already miss Egypt
I always understand all the hassle. So many vendors. It must be so hard to make a living with so much competition side by side. 😢
Yeah, well that's most sales jobs. I used to sell things on the street (almost exactly like these guys) for around 7 years, so I know how it is 😅May the best seller win 🤣
Insane prices there
Yes it is! I'm in and out; get my camera, make a vlog or two, and goodbye Dubai! 🤣
@@Gventures Go to Oman. The people are so nice!
Just watched your vid abt the phone wich got stolen,. Crazy! @@Gventures
@@benontheroadnl Yeah Oman is pretty much the only Gulf country I am actually interested in visiting (and Yemen too I guess), but for different reasons, I won't be going to either anytime soon. I also heard Oman isn't the cheapest place to travel to, which is another reason I am holding off. I'm used to Egypt prices, and places like Vietnam, India and Nepal. It's one reason why I don't travel to many European countries, for example. Very costly. Also, less interesting (for me) 😅
@@benontheroadnl Haha, yeah that was a crazy long day! I had to chop that day up into several videos because too much happened in one day. Driving all day exploring 3 different pyramids, then going to the city in the oasis, getting robbed, police station till late...😄Everything worked out though, lucky me 🙏
They still haven't removed the ridiculous tariffs on imports in Egypt?! Damn, that's insane. The government barely makes any money from it and you can bet they aren't encouraging any local production lmao.
Anyway, thanks for the video. I won't lie it's a bit different from what I'm used to. Too quiet, too touristic lol.
Yeah, importing anything into Egypt is insane, the customs fee is outrageous. I made the mistake once and will never again.
Egypt looks way more authentic and interesting than Dubai.
Hell yeah it is 1000% more authentic and fascinating than Dubai
You flew to Dubai to buy cheap cameras there but you need to pay for the flight ticket first. Upfront costs already 😅
No shit Sherlock. And it was STILL cheaper, I say that in the video.
@Gventures this is really interesting. I wonder what's the reason that makes electronics SO expensive in Egypt. I might visit Cairo again in May from North America. Anything you want from Best Buy?
@@amylai4660 Well now I feel bad I said no shit Sherlock🤣No I'm okay, thanks Amylai, I got everything I came to Dubai for, but I appreciate that. Manufacturing electronics isn't Egypt's specialty. And I don't know the details as to why, but import fees, tariffs and and customs fees in Egypt are OUTRAGEOUS, I don't know why Egypt does this, but it certainly makes it a big issue for anyone wanting to import anything, and really deters anyone from doing it. I did it once and will never do it again, after seeing the import fee upon the packages arrival in Egypt. The customs fee was higher than the cost to FedEx it to Egypt from the US. Another funny thing, at Duty Free in the Cairo airport, if you want to buy anything, Egypt makes foreigners pay in USD, cash only, and you have to pay $26 extra ON TOP of whatever you are buying. Hilarious! The cashier was laughing saying the Minister of whatever didn't seem to understand what Duty Free meant. He's right about that 🤣
Very interesting...don't want to go, too commercial n fake...n tourists. Nothing like Egypt but good to see new place.
I don't think there really any Emirati food-only selection of other Middle Eastern foods. They probably traditionally had diet mainly consisting Dates, Camel milk and meat, Fish
Well then I don't feel like I missed out 😅
I want you to go to the White Sea cities in my country, Egypt, Port Said, Damietta, and Ras El Bar
I will when I have time 😊
I wanted to know what gigi papa is :D
Me too 🤣 Gigi baba, some stone
Dira Naif Market ❤
I'm in Dubai in case you want anything.
Thanks, appreciate it
@@Gventures my pleasure madam, most welcome!
A lot of Indians in Dubai😮
Yep. And Bengali, Pakistani, Irani, Afghani, Filipinos, Russians, etc. I think I have only seen or met a handful or Emirati while here. Dubai is made up of foreigners
@@Gventures only 10-15% of entire population is Emiratis😂
@@HoLeeSheet11 Yup, exactly. The city rose up out of the desert quite recently, nothing was there before. The UAE is already a small country, divided into 7 city states which make up the Emirates. But there's really not many locals around, and the foreigners vastly outweigh the natives.
Come back when you have money. It's a different experience 😅
I'm sure having more money would allow one to...eat out at fancy restaurants, go to fancy beach clubs and...I dunno, get on a yacht or something 🤣 Honestly though, none of that interests me anyway. I'm looking forward to getting back to Cairo, riding my motorcycle, and exploring local markets. That's what I enjoy, just more my vibes.
i felld in laugh when you said to sale man gigibaba eh? (in arabic) instead of what is gigibaba(in English) and when they speak with you English and you respond or answer in arabic not in english !!🤣
It's so funny they keep calling you shakira when shakira isn't even american 😂😂, at least the one guy who called you Billie eilish got the country right lmao
Shakira is a common thing to say in Egypt too, it's not about the sellers referring to the country of their target (possible customer), it's just them trying to "flirt" (or "compliment") the woman. I hear foreign women being called that in Khan el Khalili market in Cairo all the time. For me, it just makes me want to roll my eyes. But okay, selling tactics, whatever. Some women like it I guess, because I've seen some older women seem pleased to be called it before.
@@Gventures oh I didn't know that, I thought that's weird they kept saying that, thanks for the info
you said " they are taking photos of Starbucks " and thats cuz u are starting becoming Egyptian .... Egypt have a really ancient history .... Some residential buildings in cairo are older than dubai itself .... and i am not talking about mosques or churches or the pyramids in Egypt... Enjoy the differences
Oh I know, most places are older than Dubai 😆 But I would have said "they are taking photos of Starbucks" with dismay and disgust 10 years ago, even before I ever came to Egypt. I just don't get why people care about those things, something about instagram maybe 🤷♀️
@@Gventures The tourists there are thinking that it’s the oldest stark-bucks in Dubai 😂😂 so we should take pics 😂😂
@@hassanabdelmonem5747 No, I think they are just taking photos with it because the building looks "Middle Eastern" in their eyes (compared to what most Starbucks buildings look like). They were probably also the type of people that take photos of their starbucks drink and post it on instagram. I've met people that do those types of things. Not my cup of tea

Yeah, really dead and lifeless...what happens if they stop you in egypt airport and they see your purchased electronic stuff. Will you have to pay the customs?
They might, but I don't think they will, I've never been stopped before. All my cameras are for personal use anway, not for resale, which is what they are concerned about. I took all of my new equipment of the their boxes anyway, so just in case they do stop me, it's not like I'm carrying a bunch of new and unopened cameras and gear. I'll be fine 👍
