Thank you for the in depth guide. I'm pretty sold on this as a league starter. But I'm a one character per league type of person, so my question is on the end game scalability. What kind of DPS and EHP can we expect if say 50-100Div is invested into it?
for that money you could probably build a doryanis prototype character with the unique shield that gives you 6 keystones (I forget the name). It would be tons of DPS and pretty good defences. I have not tried this version before but you can find a lot of them on POE Ninja
ive been having a rough go at this build the last 2 days, prepping for league start. the clear is amazing with a 5l in t16's, takes maybe a minute and a half to get to the boss. but...i cant figure out single target for the life of me, tanky yellows, essence, beasts and map bosses take upwards of 25-30 seconds to kill. other than that its really been fun learning something new.
Bosses you need to make sure adrenaline is up, drop totem, use smite, drop your 2 x Vaal LS and it should only take a few seconds to get bosses down. T14+ it will be slower but should not be anywhere near 25 seconds. It might just be getting the rotation correct when you get to bosses
@@FuzzyDuckzy admittedly havent been using totem, also missed the part on staying a distance from the target to ensure the projectiles hit with the additional strike. ill do those two things and see what i need to adjust from there. looking forward to starting this build, thanks for all the work youve put in documenting this, the pob is top tier s+ quality.
I’ve not played with it enough but I think early it’s not a great idea. Single target will be less and you might have to give up the Vaal portion since it might be very expensive to buy or craft
Hey fuzzy. let me ask ya... im a worn off TS player and want to play something new, but i only play ts and LA because the rich boys play it. Can i make good currency with this build? because the early you get going, the better right?
It maps pretty quick and the non crit version could be built pretty cheap and fast. The main reason I am playing this build is because I think it can get to making currency very quickly as I only have 3 days to play at league start before I am away for 5 days.
I think there will be zones where you will probably die if you put the wrong mods on the wrong monsters. I think Acts 1-2 are gonna be rough, from there I think it will be fine
I don't think it's very good as proj damage is only 60% of our damage then you lose a ton of that when returning and lose a gem slot. You also then can't run point blank
@@sonofacrapface I might have a look. I can’t really drop cwdt as you can’t left click skills. Is it really 17% more dps when only half the skills damage is proj?
Can it farm blight on the budget ? :) And is it a build, that can keep being upgraded, and still make more and more damage? Cause I only wanna make 1 char per league :) so if it can do all content on invest I will run it
Yeah pretty much any build can do blight if you know how to set up towers. There are versions that can scale very far with investment but it’s not something I am going to do as I like to play lots of builds a league. Doryani prototype can be used to scale the damage in a few different ways but you would have to see what other people do for this as is not something I’m that familiar with
@FuzzyDuckzy thanks for the answer. I have never tries LS before, but I wanna try it. As long as it can do T16 maps, endgame bosses and farming strats :)
Hey. Nothing changed on the RoA build. Snipers mark nerf should not affect it and no other items or skills got affected. If you enjoyed it last league it should work the same again
That was referring to the reduced % mana cost that used to be unveiled from the unqiue betraytal flask. The minus mana cost elreon craft is still in the game along with the eldritch implicit on helmets for reduced aman cost of attacks
@@mikeedwards5274 no it won’t affect the build it doesn’t use the flask mod. Once you get a mana reservation cluster or go for the mana reservation mastery you will be able to run 3 auras once you have the unique swords
What is this like for guardian farming? Done it previous two leagues with SRS and looking for something new. Icespear totem i was thinking of, but so squishy. This build looks real solid, but unsure how wl itll do for league start guarsian farming?
Depends on how much the breach amulet is on whether the non crit entry level version can cope as it is a big damage boost. The non crit version can farm guardians once fully upgraded but would probably switch to crit personally. Crit version should be fine on the gear in the POB as this is similar to the gear I had a few leagues ago when I was farming destructive play and guardian invitations. I did a good few rounds of destructive play in my practice runs and it felt ok. DPS is not amazing but defences are pretty forgiving
@@FuzzyDuckzy yeah I see. Thank you for your reply :) So when you say fully upgraded you are referring to the upgrades in the "Big Upgrades" section - which, looking at it is quite a bit. Just the amulet on day 2-3 is a couple of divs. So the non crit version probs not. Hrmmm it might be a bit of a stretch for asap league start guardian farming for the crit version too.
@@Freexers Yeah Unfortunately melee has to have more DPS than other builds for guardians and bossing as you will not have perma uptime on DPS since you have to move a lot. You can do it on much cheaper gear but not sure it will feel that great. Crit verison is really just the claw everything else should be fairly reasonable.
@@Freexers If you want to buy it very expensive as there will not be many on the market. To craft a proper one 6-8 divines. I am going to try and create a new POB for an entry level crit version which should be much more affordable I just need to make sure it will actually do enough damage
Your background video dmg&def is seems amazing , i dont know how much invesment would ichimonji version on day1-3 but if its super cheap pre-crit thats okay but i dont see myself playing ls but not using claw/whirlingblades. Apart from that as always amazing video and build
Hitting big damage on non crit relies on the breech amulet for it to really shine.. It can still do good without it but you have to try and get flat damage on jewellery. I left that item out the pobs in case it's crazy money
Need to retedt it but I didn't like whirlwind blades a few leagues ago playing Ls. Ok for wide open maps but jump/teleport skills feel so much better when there obstacles or for boss fights
I think HH Would be worse than perseverance as you lose onslaught and quite a lot of flat damage. HH damage buffs also scale around phys damage and we do not have any base phys damage in the build.
Can you recommend me some duelist/marauder builds that work well with headhunter? Im looking for builds in these Two classes because are the ones I've already done the levelling, but cant find / dont know which builds are good with HH ;(
@@wesso27 I am not sure as I do not really like HH any more after the change to soul eater. I would check POE Ninja and see what builds people are using HH for on those classes
Any reason this can’t do harvest? I know not every build is meant to do all content and harvest monster can get kinda mean and rippy. Plus with the new league mechanic, just wanted to make sure I would be tanky enough. Guide was great!
I like Raider but I feel the budget version of champ feels much better than the budget version on Raider, however with investment they are pretty similar. I just think outside of being a comfy league starter Raider needs to offer more from her asdcendancy as the only way to play really is frenzy stacking
Ea ballista will be cheaper to get 4 voidstones it all depends what you want from league start. I hate the delayed EA ballista gameplay so would play anything else, but that's just me.
Projectiles are too slow and clear is much worse from my experience. The cluster jewel would give single target but that is giving up 4 passive points. That combined with the reduced damage efficiency compared to normal LS I am not sure it is worth it. Getting a vaal version will also be expensive
@@gonzaga_7874 it’s nit unplayable but it’s certainly nowhere near top tier. The fact only 0.2% of people league started the skill last league shows you it’s not the strongest build in town
Raider is a much rougher start and you probably cannot swap to lightning strike until early maps. I personally do not love Raider until it has quite a bit of gear whereas champ feels a bit better early and certainly more tanky.
@@FuzzyDuckzy what about end game, specifically vs bosses coz that's what I remember struggling with last time I played poe with LS, does champ's tankiness still come up then

It maps pretty quick and the non crit version could be built pretty cheap and fast. The main reason I am playing this build is because I think it can get to making currency very quickly as I only have 3 days to play at league start before I am away for 5 days.
@@FuzzyDuckzy thanks, mate! Have a great league start!
How do you think the levelling process will be with the amped up zones?
I think there will be zones where you will probably die if you put the wrong mods on the wrong monsters. I think Acts 1-2 are gonna be rough, from there I think it will be fine
Why not the new warden ?
I just do not like the look of early game on Warden
is returning projectiles good for this build?? why choose not to use it?
I don't think it's very good as proj damage is only 60% of our damage then you lose a ton of that when returning and lose a gem slot. You also then can't run point blank
Hi Fuzzy. Lovely guide but, why no Sniper's Mark..?
You can add it in but it puts too much socket pressure as it would need to go with mark on hit and lifetap
@@FuzzyDuckzy If you lose faster attacks or CWDT you have 3 spare gemslots. 17% more DPS seems worth it
@@sonofacrapface I might have a look. I can’t really drop cwdt as you can’t left click skills. Is it really 17% more dps when only half the skills damage is proj?
Looks like it is about 12% more damage so definitely worth fitting in. Thanks I will amend the POBs
also, in regards to Molten Shell; I just play one more note on the piano, not a problem for me but I understand it could be for some
NS build, where can I look at the crit version if u have made the POB etc for what?
I am still working on the POB as I think I can get a lot more damage out of it. There should be a rough POB in the video description
Can it farm blight on the budget ? :)
And is it a build, that can keep being upgraded, and still make more and more damage?
Sorry for not video related question, but can we expect roa update for 3.24? If it needs even an update ofc, thabks!
Hey. Nothing changed on the RoA build. Snipers mark nerf should not affect it and no other items or skills got affected. If you enjoyed it last league it should work the same again
Thank you for the great guide Fuzzy
Yeah does this effect this build at all will you still be able to run the 3 50 cost auras?
That was referring to the reduced % mana cost that used to be unveiled from the unqiue betraytal flask. The minus mana cost elreon craft is still in the game along with the eldritch implicit on helmets for reduced aman cost of attacks
@@mikeedwards5274 no it won’t affect the build it doesn’t use the flask mod. Once you get a mana reservation cluster or go for the mana reservation mastery you will be able to run 3 auras once you have the unique swords
@@FuzzyDuckzy Awesome can't wait to play this :)
Thank you for your reply :)
So when you say fully upgraded you are referring to the upgrades in the "Big Upgrades" section - which, looking at it is quite a bit.
@@FuzzyDuckzy If you remember how much is the crit claw like day 3 - the first week?
What is the best farming for this build?
Depends how good your build is really. I struggle with T17s and juices expedition. I liked harvest the best as the loot is very easy to sell
@@FuzzyDuckzy appreciate the answer. ty
vey dedicated, i try to use your build in my 4th build in this game, i wonder if can assist me on twitch if any trouble
can i use a headhunter in the belt slot?
Harvest should be pretty good as you should be able to build up Vaal charges ready to release them when the T3 monsters spawn in each plot
@@FuzzyDuckzy right on, easy enough. Thank you!
Is this build tanky enough to perform decent in HC?
Yeah it is pretty good but probably needs a vitality as the only health sustain is from leech
@@FuzzyDuckzy alright man thanks for the build and gonna try to get a vitality in, do you have any recommendations on what to take out for a vitality?
Do you think champ is superior to raider at the moment?
I like Raider but I feel the budget version of champ feels much better than the budget version on Raider, however with investment they are pretty similar. I just think outside of being a comfy league starter Raider needs to offer more from her asdcendancy as the only way to play really is frenzy stacking
Ls champion or ea explosive ballista ?
Ea ballista will be cheaper to get 4 voidstones it all depends what you want from league start. I hate the delayed EA ballista gameplay so would play anything else, but that's just me.
@@FuzzyDuckzy thx
why not lightning strike of arcing with Follow-Through?
Projectiles are too slow and clear is much worse from my experience. The cluster jewel would give single target but that is giving up 4 passive points. That combined with the reduced damage efficiency compared to normal LS I am not sure it is worth it. Getting a vaal version will also be expensive
@@FuzzyDuckzy in my experience regular LS looked unplayable last league and of arcing changed my life, but ok! ty for answering
@@gonzaga_7874 it’s nit unplayable but it’s certainly nowhere near top tier. The fact only 0.2% of people league started the skill last league shows you it’s not the strongest build in town
@@FuzzyDuckzy for wisps in high tier was unplayable :(
can someone explain the key differences between this and raider lightning strike build, returning player who likes LS
Raider is a much rougher start and you probably cannot swap to lightning strike until early maps. I personally do not love Raider until it has quite a bit of gear whereas champ feels a bit better early and certainly more tanky.
@@FuzzyDuckzy what about end game, specifically vs bosses coz that's what I remember struggling with last time I played poe with LS, does champ's tankiness still come up then
@@biggstarr bossing is not great on either so if you like to run a lot of bosses it’s probably not a good build for that. Champ is probably better as you can face tank a bit more
Damn, the choice is hard between this and lightning arrow... 🤔
If i replace spectral helix with frost blades would be worst leveling?
Would be ok just lower single target
How deep do you think this could reasonably delve?
I honestly couldn’t tell you as I don’t really delve. I wouldn’t think it would go very deep
I went to test on standard so I geared similar to the crit pob. Unfortunately I have only ever gone down to 250! I killed Aul and did some cities easily, especially since I do not know the mechanics for Aul's. I would think you would be ok to 300 ish, but it will certainly not go deep
@@FuzzyDuckzy Thank you for the reply! I am newish to PoE (current season was my first) and I want a good league starter to get me more currency than I made last time
@@dyrinn45 oh ok in that case it is definitely able to go deep enough to make currency, but I’m sure there are better delve builds if that’s what you want to do
I get excited and then I remember that totems are still mandatory and suddenly I am not excited anymore.
It’s only 1 totem so not too bad, but yes I was so hoping for some melee buffs and as usual I feel short changed 😷
Is this HC or SC?
SC
could I go delving to 350-400 with this?
I doubt it. The crit build could scale to do it, but I think single target for the boss fights would be rough without decent investment
in the beginning you can also use the chaos recipe enhancer tool
Yeah I tend to not do chaos recipe but I would definitely recommend most players to do it and the tool is a big help
TY
Is thia build good for bossing too?
Not until you switch to crit and get a lot invested. Melee builds suck for bossing in general
Campaign lol. No one cares
