Great job again so far 👍 looking forward to seeing part 2, like I said before I haven't got a clue about engines but I really enjoy watching you restore them.
That engine was roasted hope everything like the block and crank are still in spec. If I ever make it to South Africa remind me not to drink your coffee it's a little thick for me LOL !
I'm pretty confident that yellowish orange is from an oil additives kinda like a special signature. Penzoil was known from advertising that a protective coating would aid engine health. Hence the hue
Well, you asked if that piston looked burned. I do not think so. Not sure what the color is all about, but I noticed that where the piston actually touched the walls, on the two sides that feel the crank pressure it was clean metal. So I don't think it was heat as the burning would have been on the sides that were clean not on the whole side where the piston pin sits. And it is not centered on the piston pin, it is all the way down the skirt. The exhaust valve, most certainly toasted. I would try my best to replace that as it looks to have gotten hot enough to have lost all of it's heat treating and is now "soft" compared to spec. The yellow color on the inner part of the crankcase looks like a film I have seen develop when oil and water got mixed, and ran for a long period of time, and baked on some kind of residual salt like calcium carbonate and a little iron that was in the contaminating water. All the caked on dirt out of the various outside parts was likely also all caked into the cooling fins which may have been the reason it got hot. I am guessing the previous owner tried with an air compressor to blow out the dirt on the fins, and get it running again, but with that burned valve, it was a lost cause. I noticed the same dirt on the fins, but like they had attempted to do a blow out to see if it would help.
Now that was good coffee hahaha. Also i love the fact you use Petrol as a degreaser…it really is the best out there LOL. Can’t wait to see part 2 now :)
This little engine has been cooked within an inch of it's life and if I was to take a guess it's been around a lot of water and condensation has got in too.
love the videos but one piece of constructive critisism.... you should include more of the repairs you do like the obviously dented gas tank( looked great BTW) and less of the powder coating scenes. your very thorough but would like to see all of your processes instead of just the same ones video to video
@@AJRestoration that is fair and honest. like other commentors said, at least you are being true and not just serving us Fake Rust Daewoo F1 engines!!!!!!

When you said No compression I thought oh no this is got to be bad. Few, just a sticky valve. Cleaned up nicely, great job. Waiting for part 2 now
That was exactly my thought! I was really worried!

Thank you so much!! You should try to restore your own little engine some time, its great fun!
Brilliant. A genunine restoration - none of that weird orange fake rust YT is inundated with. Thumbs up!
I have seen those fake rust videos and its dead obvious!

Hahaha real men drink coffee straight out of their engines! I ll get it running again, even if its for 30 glorious minutes.

Oh man.... Leaving us waiting in the assembly phase is the worst!!!
I wanna see it gooooo!!!!! 😁
Me too haha, sorry about that, time caught up with me and these little engine restorations do take up alot of time to restore.
wonderful, I am enjoying watching these engine fixings.
Good job mister

Thank you very much!
Valeu AJ! aguardo ansiosamente a continuação dessa restauração. Abraço
Restoring is environmentally friendly.👍🏻🙂 This engine appears to have driven a water pump that pumped water with mud in it.

You should have inserted "Subscribe" sign at 22:21, when parts go "Ding-dong!" =)
Nooooo hahahahaha I missed a great opportunity!!!!
Looking good so far. Look forward to part 2!
Do you get inspiration from Machinery Restorer?
I do kinda yes, its a mixture between him and Mustie1. And its fun.
That yellow colour, and the lacquer on the piston- looks like stale petrol residue?
That is possibly the case yes.
Yellow color. Some kind of additive, perhaps.
👍

Thanks for the tips! the tank was replaced, I did not remove any dents, I usually make more dents than remove them.

Muito bom !
Saya mau beli ringnya aja tp susah nyarinya lur di lajada gak ktmu
It would help if you could put the type fluid in ,the cleaning fluids please 🙄
Sperartnya beli di mana bos .. type mesin GX150
oh boy someone cooked that engin
Them sticking valves are annoying. Looks like varnish on the valve stem. Carby cleaner will fix that.
Wonder if the orange color was purposely done at the factory?
I think so too, it is the first time I saw that orange color. I have another Honda G150. Ill take it apart and see if its the same.
Зачем растягивать ролик на несколько частей????
Hola bro
André. Daai oranje kleur kan wees dat die mense verkeerde olie ingegooi het. Baie snaaks maar kon ATF olie gewees het.😂😂😂
Geez imagine dit was ATF olie, Dan het ek baie respek vir Honda nou. Arme ding haha
@@AJRestoration jaa neh haha😂😂
