I nearly always cry for the loss of a kind, talented, gentle man whenever I hear him sing. A dear friend of mine *loved* Queen. Sadly, she died of cancer when she was only 63, the same age as me. If there is a heaven, I know she'll be there with Freddie and he'll be singing. RIP Roz.
The movie really pissed me off. first of all Freddie didn't act like that when he went to do his solo, as a matter of fact Roger sang backup on some of the songs on Freddie's solo. Secondly Freddie was the peacemaker, it was Brian and Roger who fought, even came to blows with each other. Both Brian and Roger admit Freddie is the reason the band stuck together all those years. It upsets me they portrayed Freddie that way. The one thing that sometimes caused arguments with Freddie was that Freddie was a perfectionist, and had grandiose ideas for the music, but that's what made their music great.
If you’d like to see more crowd singing, watch Love of My Life in Rio, absolutely the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen and keep in mind that English is not their first language.
Great news for everyone that loves Queen, they revealed they are planning to share a previously unreleased song called ~Face it alone~ featuring the late great Freddie Mercury this September, recorded while they were making their 13th album The Miracle in 1988. The last songs Queen ever recorded together before Freddie passed away were finally released as the Made in Heaven album in 1995, which was their 15th and final album together. Now 31 years after his death the whole world gets to hear Freddie sing a new song again! I'm so excited!! 💕 I hope it goes straight up the charts to #1 in his honor 💕
I was lucky enough to see Queen and this song just made the entire crowd turn into total mush. Big biker dudes tearing up and singing ...I'll never forget that show and always will love Queen.

was fortunate enough to see queen in 1986 at Newcastle on there kind of magic tour. to this day still the best £13.50 i've ever spent about $16.57 now.
TooBlunt, this classic Queen/Freddie Mercury song on "A Night at the Opera" album (1975) was the impetus of Freddie's and also Brian's writings of 'We Are the Champions' and 'We Will Rock You'. Hearing and realizing their fans' collective singing of 'Love of My Life' (amongst other songs) drove their writing of songs that promoted fan participation. Isn't it exciting and moving for us as listeners and observers? I can only imagine what being in an audience or being Queen truly felt/feels like! To this day Brian May sings 'Love of My life' to live audiences with cell phone lights creating a universe when a Freddie-live video clip appears: MAGIC!! I'm loving your reactions as a 'new' Queen fan. Keep enjoying--I will, too :-)
PS: 'Love of My Life' is generally known as Freddie's love song to Mary Austin to who he was engaged to up until the time he confessed to her that he was inclined towards men. She was the one who told him, not bisexual but gay. Their love and lives continued to be entwined until the moment he passed on. He declared that Mary was a wife to him--and did bequeath the bulk of his fortune and his entire home to her in his will. No one will know where his final resting place is because Fred's cremated remains were solely hers, to be placed in an unknown place. After 2 years of waiting for the paparazzi to stop watching her, Mary left her home and took Freddie to his desired location. Not Queen nor his family know where he is for eternity. It's an ethereal experience. It connects us, the experience of our lives. Your face is so honest listening to Freddie and Queen. You have shared right back with your musical discoveries.
Always love your Queen reactions because you "get" how massively talented they were. The white album with lions on it is "Night at the Opera" which had Bohemian Rhapsody on it. The movie did make Freddie pretty sad and pathetic. He was alot stronger than he was portrayed in the movie. Also, the studio version of this is very different. Brian learned to play the HARP for it! Keep up the good work!
queen voted the best band ever - with the Beatles as nr. two, Freddie voted the best singer of all time - and Brian - by readers of a guitar magazine - voted the best guitarist of all time.
Freddie is my God! the mic on his hand and on the other hand is the crowd! that is a God of Rock look like🤟💛 I still love you Freddie😭😭😭😭 Hey I want that Damn greatest Hit😭😭😭😭
They never took themselves too seriously. In one of their live recordings Freddie introduced this song by saying “this song has turned into a duet, cause that’s the way we like it.” He & Brian were quite the collaborative force. Still never watched the movie. 😎 if you want to watch a good doc on them, days of our lives”. It’s an accurate & often moving documentary. Good luck in your new home!!
There will never be another FREDDY he was an amazing individual,so talented. He left his fortune of 50 million pounds to his love of many years Mary Astain.
Beautiful ballad written by Freddie inspired by his ex-love Mary Austin who was by Freddie’s side throughout his life. They were so close that Freddie asked her to marry him .. lived together for several years until their break-up in 1976 after revealing his sexuality! However, Mary remained a close & trustworthy friend, even worked for his management company! “The only friend I’ve got is Mary, and I don’t want anybody else. To me, she was my common-law wife. To me, it was a marriage.” (Freddie) …. Link of Freddie & Mary in Budapest - ruclips.net/video/NuZcexp4_Nw/видео.html
Love your reactions as always. I just love Freddie/Queen. Love how interacts with the crowd. One of my favorite songs. I've been listening to Queen since they released Bohemian Rhapsody back in 1975. I was 10 at the time. I just love Freddie's vocals. No one can come close to him. I'm always cranking up the radio in my car when Queen comes on and singing along.
Another fantastic reaction! Queen was definitely a force of nature, especially live in concert. I was watching at work when they performed Live Aid and it was amazing!
One of my favorite songs, Freddie’s crowd control is amazing, and of course, no one sings like Freddie. Not just his vocals but the passion in his singing. Of course, what can you say about Brian. Just love your reactions.
One of my fondest memories is from when I was around 12 years old, stealing my dad's queen's greatest hits album, running to the garage with it and a CD player and just rocking out to the music. Watching their live aid performance at a young age is what started my journey and got me so heavily into music, so much so that I named my 2 year old son Freddie after the legend 🤟
I just found your videos Thank you for giving a whole new generation a chance to see the brilliance of Queen and Freddie watching you evolve into a Queen fan took me back 35 years to when I first heard them and was just mesmerized and still am today Thank you mate
Always great reactions from you. Freddie, John, Roger, and Brian were meant to be together to give us music that will go on for eternity. Thank you ❣🎶👑
Say- have you heard Freddie’s solo works? ‘Exercises in Free Love’?? Freddie wrote it and it’s all melody of Freddie’s ranges- mostly angelic like- it’s astounding! I really like how you show Queen the respect to get into their history- thank you
Great song, band and reaction. They're the best band ever!!! There are so many songs to react to...hope you'll try to do as many as you can. You wontbe disappointed in any song. They were perfectionists and it showed in their work. Geniuses, all of them. LEGENDS!!!!
Very nice of you to give away such a great record. I agree with you; they didn't represent Freddie's humor, joy for life, or show that he was so loved by his friends and fans. He was the peacemaker between the band members according to Roger and Brian, but the movie was made for entertainment, not as a documentary. It promote their music, and that is the main thing I suppose.
Freddie Mercury is one of the most charismatic front man, and the whole band were just fantastic. Each is a master of his craft. I've never seen that before in any band.
This song was supposedly written about when he came out to his wife - as gay - they loved each other and remained close friends until his untimely demise. I genuinely believe that - what the crowd and fans pick up on is how heart felt the song and lyrics are. Love that you gave Brian some respect as well - he is awesome - also the drummer sings most of the harmony vocals (whilst playing the drums).
I absolutely love this song! Freddie was so talented. He was truly a gift to the world #Queen love your reactions to Queen you can tell you are a true fan!
No other voice can encompass ones soul like Freddies. He commanded an audience like no other. SO glad you are enjoying your new found Love of you life :)
My dear young man.... I absolutely love your reactions to Queen songs. I am 73 years old and their music was so revolunary it still rocks me today. I never get tired of watching you either.. Keep it up
Just wanted to say thank you for your reactions. I've watched them all while recovering from my second stroke. I've been a fan since the 70's yes I'm that old. You have to watch now I'm here Wembley 1986. Bless you xx
Can you imagine having complete control of a crowd like that. Freddie always found ways to incorporate the crowd at concerts so that it was about them just as much as him. Great reaction as always man. I've probably said this before but Brian May and Rodger Taylor wanted the Queen legacy to continue and a guy named Marc Martel won a contest they had and is doing just that. You should react to him some time. He's incredible.
I love how much you love and appreciate everything that Queen was! I do have to disagree with your comment about how Freddie was portrayed in Bohemian Rhapsody. He was not portrayed as a douche at all until he was under Paul's influence and decided to (temporarily) go solo. I found everything about his portrayal as inspiring, comical, fierce and lovely. I have never seen someone believe so deeply that they are going to accomplish everything that they want to in this world. I wish with everything in me I could have been more like Freddie. What an amazing human being.
Thanks for the comment and yes I didn’t clarify but that’s the point in the movie I was referring to. Other than that he seemed pretty cool. I just didn’t agree with that part of the movie
I grew up listening to Queen & still love them today. I was born on the day Bohemian Rhapsody was released in the UK in 1975. The whole band is incredibly talented & funny, all with hearts of gold. This song still makes me want to cry every time I hear it.
Welcome to NC! We are kinda neighbors…I live close to Charlotte! Love how towards the end of the song you are looking at the video with such love and admiration of Freddie’s unmatched talent!
Freddie had such rapport with the audience. He still does today. People respond to a video of him. The audience at the London Olympics sang back to a hologram of him.
I found your channel by accident and at first, I was like, oh! Another reaction channel... Now, sir. I owe you an apology for just assuming. Your comments are very well thought out and express a very deep love of all things music. You have restored my faith in humanity. What you do is beautiful. Thank you for YOUR art! Life-long fan now!
I would suggest These are the Days of Our Lives. Freddie's very last video. It sums up the totality of all that was, is and forever Queen. Thank you for reawakening my childlike sense of wonder again. What you do...Hey! It's a Kind of Magic!
Thanks for taking me back! Had the joy of “coming of age” to this sound, my first major concert at 13 was Queen, I got to see them 4 times. Best concerts of my life. What a treat to see the next generation find what we did back in the day. I’m rarely glad I’ve hit 60 but if it means I got to see Freddie, I don’t mind the smile crinkles in the mirror, I’m glad you reminded me!
There is the studio original where Freddie plays piano and Brian plays a little solo. Then there is the post Freddie era where Brian is on the stage by himself and sings it with almost the same audience interaction. At the end of that, a Freddie video is displayed where he sings the last few lines. Brian gets emotional every time he does this live.
Have you seen their performance for the Queens platinum jubilee? She taps the rhythm out on the rim of her teacup and Brian may performs in the face of the huge statue of Queen Victoria in front of the royal palace. Adam lambert sings lead. You gotta see it if you haven't!
What made QUEEN such a great band is each person in the stadium felt they were singing to them - this is evident in how Freddie was able to get stadiums full of people over and over to sing with him and as you noted be goofy with him. This is also because QUEEN truly cared about their fans and desired to give their best concert each time. Contrast with performers of today - Freddie has real emotion in his voice and the ability to communicate that emotion (each listener feels it too) : while todays music is largely soulless. There is a lot of speculation about who was the Love of Freddie’s life - but When you know about his life and as evidenced in this video I have to say it was his fans. You need to review “THESE ARE THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES” - Most believe this video was his goodbye to his fans - so Poignant - I defy you to listen to this video and not cry. (62 year old lady who loves your QUEEN reactions! Thanks!)
I feel the same way about the movie…Freddie seems like a really great guy from what I’ve read. The movie didn’t portray that. Another great reaction to another great Freddie vocal performance!!Thanx!!! Going to find more Queen on your channel.
The part that brings a tear for me: "when I grow older I will be there at your side to remind you that I still love you"🤧. Cause he didn't get to grow old! His music will live forever though, and that's beautiful in its own way.
I was so very lucky to have been at that concert in that crowd singing with the great Freddie at Wembley Stadium 1986 a true legend a high point in my life thank you Freddie ❤️
Queen was a very integral part of my life through the 70's and 80's - my post Passing Out (graduation?) party when joining the British Army rocked to the newly released "We are the Champions" in 1977. Their music was such a huge part of my life. Really wonderful seeing the awesome magic of Queen and Freddie being appreciated all these years later. Thank you!
”Bohemian Rhapsody” wasn’t that much of a documentary, as much as a tribute. I can highly recommend ”Queen: Days of our lives” (2011). A documentary that I’ve often revisited. I DAMN good one, my friend! 🥂
He wrote this song for Mary, his first love. They were engaged and he loved her all his life. He left the bulk of his estate to Mary.
When you see Brian perform this song with the Freddie hologram, he always ends up in tears. The love was/is real ♥

In one of their live recordings Freddie introduced this song by saying “this song has turned into a duet, cause that’s the way we like it.”
He & Brian were quite the collaborative force.
Freddie and Queen are still AWESOME. Love all there songs. Wish they were still making music today
Thank you for loving Freddie the way he deserves.
This performance touches your soul.
Some>>>Bohemian Rhapsody on the radio singing with my sister>>>broke down the part and YES we were even in a Pacer.....crazy.
just one question pls:) , in those days, do you ever realize that Freddie was one of a kind
@@grave2395 YES . Plus the 4 that MADE QUEEN >>QUEEN need all 4 to make that sound.
One of my favorites, no one can interact with a crowd better than Freddie. Such a beautiful song.
Much love ❤ Freddie singing to the audience and the audience singing to Freddie!
I love that story!! 😃
Your son will be proud to be named after a true legend! That's a awesome thing to do! 👍
Love how the crowd sings but Freddie’s voice is the best❤️
I just found your videos
Thank you for giving a whole new generation a chance to see the brilliance of Queen and Freddie watching you evolve into a Queen fan took me back 35 years to when I first heard them and was just mesmerized and still am today
Thank you mate
Always great reactions from you.
Freddie, John, Roger, and Brian were meant to be together to give us music that will go on for eternity.
Thank you ❣🎶👑
Hell yea, Queen is always a good listen. Best of luck to everyone.
Watching you discover and react to Queen, who I've loved for 45+ years, has been like discovering them all over again. Their music is timeless.
It's so great to see a young person love him as much as this old women
Say- have you heard Freddie’s solo works? ‘Exercises in Free Love’?? Freddie wrote it and it’s all melody of Freddie’s ranges- mostly angelic like- it’s astounding! I really like how you show Queen the respect to get into their history- thank you
Great song, band and reaction. They're the best band ever!!! There are so many songs to react to...hope you'll try to do as many as you can.
You wontbe disappointed in any song. They were perfectionists and it showed in their work. Geniuses, all of them. LEGENDS!!!!
Freddie’s heart was big enough to hold every crowd everywhere. I think that is what we feel.
He is still alive! You're listening to him now. He is so happy. He did love his fans and we here it in every moment.😊
This song always tears me up. Especially when the audience responds singing “I’ll still love you” bak at him! Major chokes me up every time 🥰🥺
"Who wants to live forever?" This song is a trip...
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
I absolutely love this song! Freddie was so talented. He was truly a gift to the world #Queen love your reactions to Queen you can tell you are a true fan!
i love how much in awe u are when u listening to the greatest man in the world ure facial expressions tells it all freddie is "THE Goat"
Rock n Roll medley at Wembley .. Queen’s tribute to the rock legends!
Every time I hear a Queen song I wonder and are saddened by what we have missed out on since Freddies passing.
To paraphrase Don McLean - 'I could have told you Freddie, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you' 😥😥😥😥😥😥😥
Queen is and always will be timeless, there music will always live on one of if not the greatest band and music talent in history
Freddie had such rapport with the audience. He still does today. People respond to a video of him. The audience at the London Olympics sang back to a hologram of him.
Every single time I hear this song I cry. He loved Mary and he wrote this for her. What a beautiful beautiful soh , my gosh
:) thank you for commenting this . And no need to apologize lol happy to have you as a viewer !
Who wants to live forever . Live in Budapest is a must see for you . The power of Freddy voice will blow your mind
Thank you for the great reactions ...this grandma is a queen junkie 🤣🤣
No, he was not a DB. He was a kind and generous soul. Roger & Brian only had input regarding the music. BTW. You should autograph that give away.
Check out the green day concert where the whole crowd sings bohemian rhapsody its amazing
I'm wrapped up in a warm blanket, listening and watching you and Freddie makes me cry, because I feel your wonderful heart and soul.
Great choice,so beautiful one of the best love songs ever written gorgeous me the best ever simple so intense in emotions huge talent
Goosebumps every time I hear that 🫠
There is the studio original where Freddie plays piano and Brian plays a little solo.
Then there is the post Freddie era where Brian is on the stage by himself and sings it with almost the same audience interaction. At the end of that, a Freddie video is displayed where he sings the last few lines. Brian gets emotional every time he does this live.
Love Queen!! Im in love with this song!! Its a lovely sad love song😢❤
Thanks!)
A beautiful song makes me cry every time xx
This performance always makes me cry. Just An acoustic guitar and Freddie’s beautiful voice. ❤️
Прекрасная песня, волшебное исполнение ❤️ Настоящая музыка. И здесь чувствуется истинная любовь людей к исполнителю.
