Getting the insight of top players on a combined discussion like this is really informative to see where im thinking about the game correctly and incorrectly. Its been a awesome vid so far thank you!
Learn to think for yourself. In one breathe; "the game is scrubby because of dr", in another; "you cannot get to the top level if you cannot check dr consistently." Yet again; "make the game for top level of play, by reducing input lag so only the top level can play", but contradictory; "dr is very hard to check against top level players cause they force you look for other things in neutral, so we need to nerf it cause not fun"
@@Yeet-ing I didn't say I was taking their word as the end all be all. I tooks parts of it to view how I as a player might be misunderstanding I veiw higher level of the game. I'm just someone looking to improve in anyway if its in discussion or videos. At the end of the day these guys have the consistent results and have been shown to repeatedly be some of the best players in multiple games. It's just that simple. Now if that's the take you got from the video fine but how you feel about what was said has completely nothing to do with me and what I took away from the video.
Yea, amazing lineup. All are talking about abstract concepts about SF6 (and fighting games in general). Very good talk session and one can learn a lot when viewing Chris T’s content. Thanks for the video. I would never have subbed if it wasn’t for ButtonCheck showing one of your segments.
Loved the insights about non-pro players! I’m trying to improve at Killer Instinct but feel “stuck.” The advice given applies to any game at beginner or intermediate level, and will be very helpful to me. Thank you for the conversation!
@1:11:08 Ive always called this (what he says is "dynamic") "Rate of adaptation/RoA". In low skill players this could be a complete zero, as 801 says, no accountability > no labbing > no adaptation. I think if you play enough and begin to lab enough you start reaching a point where new habits form and you start to adapt to the same scenarios after dozens or even hundreds of games (fast vs slow learners). The next meaningful breakpoint comes when those dozens to hundreds boils down to 2-3 games or even rounds. You start adapting within a set. Things could probably start being defined as "dynamic" when you get to very high level play, and the 'RoA' is literally fractions of a second and they're even accounting for their opponents RoA and essentially skipping steps/turns to make a read. The adaptions are ingrained micro patterns they've spent tons of time pounding to memory. What people fail to realize is that top players don't just spawn with a maxed out 'RoA'. Everyone learns at different paces, but even outside of that you have to continuously go through the cycle of exposure > labbing > grinding actual implementation > more frequent pattern recognition > adapting on the fly. The game evolves constantly so it never stops. Edit: Nevermind you cover this 1:22:48
I’m gonna post this on Birds FGC as well - but Chris, today is 6-10-2024. Did they suddenly make Ken’s RH Jinrai Loop harder? It seems 10x harder for me to connect that first hit. Seems like they made it as hard as the target combo light Jinrai juggle! Or am I crazy?
I think a respected Elo system of some sort like in Chess for example would be a great idea. It would take some organization, but would make seeding and bracket related stuff more like tennis or chess.
Great dynamic between you four, glad to see some well-known players talking openly about how ridiculous the fgc has gotten in some ways. Still love the community and always will, we just have to do better and be a tad less uptight lmfao
I don't play sf6 so my opinion might be completely off. But from a viewer stand point when I see people abuse driverush my reaction is: "So they put a mechanic in SF to skip neutral?" To me SF has always been the excellence in terms of neutral so it feels weird to me. Great talk!!!
Dope pod, even though I don’t really understand SF. This gives me a little bit of a better understanding. I definitely agree with the cry baby mindset Twitter has that goes for all Fighting games
"How did you survive on earth for this long with the mentality that you have?", And it's true!, people do not understand or do not realise the meaning of the word Pain in "No Pain No Gain", they want to succeed without Pain so that why they always complain !
It sounds like the big part is that people (Twitter players) aren't problem solvers. If any part of their flowchart fails, it's time to crack knuckles and complain online
The changes I wanted for season 2 was to improve the online experience. I don't think any character needed to be buffed or nerfed. But when it comes to online play you should have the option if you want to face modern or classic players on ranked. Also, persons who one and done you in ranked should actually lose points and the other opponent should get the points. This would encourage people to play the full set. The reason for this is because you won't be able to get a could tell on an opponent in one game.
@@johnnieboy66 I play for cammy. I'm no troll. I'm actually serious. I think we should just take the time to figure out how to deal with the characters that give us trouble. I prefer to tell myself, I need to get better. More like a skill issue on my part. Who do you play and what are your thoughts?
@trkgaming1546 I play Manon. I challenge you: Play a character with no plus on block normals, no projectiles, slow and/or short DR, and no OD reversal. Do that for at least 1 month, maybe even 2 months. Come back to your comment above and tell me you still believe what you wrote.

Mena really showing the amount of time and effort you have to put in to get to where he is

Hell yeah. Gotta put this on watch later so I can watch at work when there's a lull in the schedule. Helluva lineup! Nice job Chris! 🔥🔥

This was great, thanks Chris!
Great video. Would be awesome to see interviews with Chris G, Knuckldu, Smug
Awesome lineup🔥🔥🔥👌

Nice talk, i enjoyed a lot the cpt rng, it mixed up a lot so it made it fun to watch
Amazing episode
"''Cause God knows we can't do it over twitter." 😂
Hey Chris, You Should Talk With The Man Himself NinjaKilla After Combo Breaker, We’d Love To Hear His Philosophy On MK! 🙃
PLEASE UPLOAD THE PODCAST TO SPOTIFY!!

What happened to the podcast?
Always with the fire content 🔥🔥🔥
Very good questions from Chris!
good stuff man
Godlike lineup!
Menas comment about tap parry is coming in the patch. You can di a tap parry. So it's gonna have a punish.
You can still block after a tap parry so how does the di punish it?
Can you block a wallspalt di?
@@Nostalgiaforinfi no. But that is not a punish di, and that has always been in the game, so it isn't a change.
It is when you are still in parry recovery on reaction to a blue flash.
@@Nostalgiaforinfi I'm not sure what you are saying. Can you explain what you mean, please?

Man, Talking with T is an FGC Godsend
Nah this was fire
Epic panel
absolute banger!
It’s partly human nature to try to protect ego instead of admitting defeat and training to solve the problem.
Lets go!
Let’s goooo
Dope pod, even though I don’t really understand SF. This gives me a little bit of a better understanding. I definitely agree with the cry baby mindset Twitter has that goes for all Fighting games
Capcom should have to remove neutral drive rush and keep it only for combo
That's a bit to far,
This would break the combo routes for some characters
Yes, put the twins in!

the last line of defense in sf4 in capcomcup?!?!?!?! one move dude he was gonna win it
Low key, Gustavo looks like Collin Farrell

youre the better player gustavo he couldnt hang with your standin fierce normals in sf4 dawg
People who yell "NERF!" on Twitter do not seem to want a fun game. Its a much better solution to make weaker characters stronger.
