Big Thing has a more simplified but still impressive electric bass. To hear John play with more creativity we should wait for "the wedding album" and above all "all you need is now". The Aria bass has a sound and aesthetic that I love so much ...
@@paolocamassa9805 You are very welcome! John’s bass playing on the first four albums saw him trying to get as many notes in as possible! He uses A LOT of ghost notes! On the Notorious and Big Thing albums he simplified his playing but became even more creative with his playing! I love the liberty album! So underrated! The Wedding Album was fantastic in every way! I have 2 Aria Pro II’s. One in Oak and one in black like he used on sing blue silver! I also have a Phillip Kubicki in black! I love all three!!

Erano appena uscti dai deliri di Notorious e secondo me potevano bissare quel successo,ma decidero di sterzare verso un sound più maturo ed un look (che io ho sempre odiato) fatto di pochi fronzoli e rimmel... Forse diro' una bestemmia,ma secondo me Big Thing fu l'album della consacrazione dei Duran Duran,del genere giochiamoci tutto...o la va o la spacca... Tutti e tutto erano contro di loro all'epoca... @@paolocamassa9805 concordo su tutto, Notorious bellissimo per quanto mi riguarda...big thing piu ricercato forse e vario come soluzioni, ricordo venne accolto più tiepidamente se non sbaglio, il grande pubblico stava volgendo gli sguardi altrove....Liberty appena sufficiente, spiccano solo Serious e la bellissima gemma My Antarctica per me.. Un piacere anche per me discutere sui DD Paolo
