Halloween ends to me in my opinion wasn’t really a bad movie to me it does have its ifs mostly because of the writing but if this does happen they need to go all in and really focus on this
It may not be as John squires the editor in chief of bloody disgusting say no to a tweet about this news and he has some good sources and know things like this.
Ya know, if Jason made his way into Multiversus, I feel it's only a matter of time before the Roster starts having *Nightmares* ... A guy can *dream* right?
@@AidenEmerson Even then, MVS said they aren't *just* using things WB owns, hence why the game isn't called "WB Brawlers" So even if they didn't, I'd say it's possible for Freddy to slash up Finn and Arya yet
Hopefully if it’s a remake/reboot and not connected to the original continuity they don’t go the Pyscho 1998, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010, or The Strangers Chapter One (2024) route of going shot for shot. Also, I believe Robert England shouldn’t be required and they can cast a good new actor if done correctly. Jackie Earl Haley was the least bad part of the 2010 version. He was just given a bad script. Robert also says he thinks he’s too old and doesn’t wanna play the role anymore and he himself thinks it’s time for another interpretation.
I want to throw another stretch out there. Lee Cronin named his production company "Doppelgängers"? He already made a great copy in Evil Dead. For sure it's Nightmare.
Only thing I don’t want done with FK is for him to be such a dark character and should have his sense of humor unlike the Jackie version where he was dark but had a darker sense of humor. And also never change FK from a Child killer to a P3DO because he was never that.
The 'ancient' thing wasn't in reference to the NOES franchise. It was about the character of Fred Krueger himself. It's a reference to Wes Craven's New Nightmare, & the mythology that film introduced in regards to Freddy being an ancient entity trapped in the series like the genie in the bottle etc... Brilliant flick.
Entity, Demon, Supernatural force, possibly the real Freddy who’s discovered he’s a fictional character and is pissed at us for making him always lose. New Nightmare imo sorta leaves it up to the viewers to have different interpretations. It was Wes Craven’s theory, but who’s to say it’s 100% true. I love horror movies when they don’t over explain things but still explain things. Not that every horror movie needs to never explain especially for slasher films and about the origins of human serial killers. But even then some human slashers don’t need explanations like Michael Myers and The Strangers.
@ParkerCS2 Agreed. I saw this film twice in theatres. It really was so open ended. For instance, it ends up w/Freddy 'back in the bottle' or (the new script), but I also saw it as him being sorta double trapped in Hansel & Gretel as well. Consider the last scene.
I have been saying for years and I'm only still in my early 30's New Nightmare has been ahead of its time 1994 already on the Meta tip bringing the movies alive with a twist! and revamping his own Franchise! and BOOM! Freddy wants into our world!
By the way, do you think S5 could be inspired somewhat by Nightmare 5: The Dream Child if you believe the theory of Henry/Vecna trying to trick Holly Wheeler and make her join his side as an evil accomplice similarly to Freddy trying to get Jacob to become just like him? Also, if The Mind Flayer takes the form of Shadow Brenner from the VR game and uses that form while it has conversations with Vecna, do you think Matthew Modine should do motion capture work for it? Would be cool and a way to still have him in the show despite Martin Brenner dying in S4.
Freddy shouldn’t ever be the same as the remake, he should never be turned serious, he should have a sense of humor to make him work. And yes FK is not a P3DO and never was.
The idea of having him be an actual burn victim coming back and taking revenge on his accusers with the twist being he was innocent all along would be sooo good
As long as they de age him and let him have body doubles who are in shape and younger to do the fight scenes. But his voice and laugh is as good as ever!
Didn't I see somewhere that Robert Englund gave his blessing for Kevin Bacon? I'd be okay with that, especially if he did a Footloose gag as Freddy! Though I still really like the idea that Robert Englund reprises his role one more time, even if it meant using stunt doubles or his voice if unable to demanding scenes beyond capabilities. Cris mentioned in one of his other videos I think a kind of shape-shifting Pennywise concept where Robert as Freddy appears for the final battle scene should that be the route they go with...Dream Warriors esque!
I’m praying to the horror gods 🙏 for it be to a nightmare on elm street movie because Freddy is my personal favorite horror icon of all time & he’s the only icon missing something rn because yes I want a new Friday the 13th movie with Jason Voorhees but at least there’s a crystal lake series coming out real soon.
Robert England is Freddy, it’s gonna be extremely difficult to find another actor to fill this role so much that if you get it wrong it won’t matter about the story or anything else 😂
Me too! Also, Stranger Things 4, Smile, and some parts of both Terrifier 1&2 are kinda like unofficial remakes of and are inspired by A Nightmare on Elm Street. Vecna and Art the Clown are literally kinda like new modern versions of Freddy Krueger, and 2022’s Smile also ironically feels similar to both ANOES as well as ST Season 4 which coincidentally came out the same year lol and also the monster entity/curse is also similar to Pennywise/IT, and Smile is also similar to IT and It Follows.
Put it to u This way.....If its Not a Nightmare on elm street remake.......Then its ridiculous to do things like keep it a secret or scratch out the title cause Nothing else is worth all the trouble.
If Blumhouse ever gets the rights to "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", I hope they do a better job than that Netflix movie in 2022. And they should being make another "The Hills Have Eyes" film. Perhaps in the same continuity as the remake since that is better than the original.
@@ParkerCS2 I've never heard of "Cut For Cursed". As for "Shocker", I watched that for the first time last year. I mainly watched since it was referenced in one of Tommy Jarvis' tapes in the "Friday the 13th" game. That one was pretty good, but I don't know how that would work for modern day.
@@ryanstauffer119 idk maybe make it a period piece and cast someone like Paul Gimimatti as the Freddy Krueger type villain from that movie who invades tvs instead of dreams.
