Hey man, seriously, THANK YOU for this video!!!!! I kayak fish in the Chesapeake Bay and I'm driving down on Nov 2 to chase blackfin, snapper, grouper and whatever other cool fish I can find. I'm stoked. Hope the BFT are around, but if not, I'll have plenty of fun bottom fishing.
No problem man! You should be coming in at a good time for blackfin. Nov 1 is the new moon. As long as the gulf is calm you should have a really good time.
Appreciate you watching man! I hope to fish over by your side of the world one day. I’d love to get a GT. And thank ya! More anglers need to have that mindset before species start going endangered.
Bro I loved the video.. just subbed. I fish navarre too. Have since the 90s and it's the best. Your vid quality is outstanding especially for a small channel.. I'm getting there.. you are there..
@@hookcraft_fishing thats my problem, everytime i have a chance to go its a bit sketchy lol, and when im working its beautiful, that and i need to pick up a few things
Thank you for the video! I really enjoy the content you make here. I have question though. for your hook and the leader, what type of knot do you use for Tuna? I normally tie clinch knot but feel it maybe too weak for Tuna? Thanks
I use a FG knot to connect my braid to my leader, and I use an improved clinch knot to tie on my x rap. Haven’t had any issues with those knots for tuna.
Speed isn’t that important. As long as the lure is moving they’ll eat. I usually troll at 3mph which is just my normal pace. They’ve also hit lures right as they hit the water before we can even start peddling. Lol
I don’t honestly but I can’t see why they wouldn’t pass Pensacola. They’re caught from the piers all the way to Panama City so I would think they’ll be around Pensacola.
@@hookcraft_fishinghey bro, just wanted to stop back and say that I made it out Saturday and landed my Tuna. Really appreciate this video! I think I may have seen you out there but I wasn’t sure and wasn’t about to interrupt our trolls. Looking forward to your next video!
Appreciate that man! And yes! They run close enough in those areas to catch them from a yak. Navarre has always been the hot spot for whatever reason, but I see people catching them farther east too.
@ thanks. I’m in a boat club with boats in Destin and PCB. Looking to hunt them soon. Thinking about going from Destin to Navarre . Thank you for the information.
Like this guys thoughts on conservation. Very informative ! Well DONE.
Thank ya! Appreciate it! 🤙🏼
Good stuff brudda! Solid info and great vid! 💪
Thanks man! Appreciate it!🤙🏼

Just what I needed thank-you!! Now need a calm day at Navarre for my first try.
No problem! Hope we can all get out there soon. The gulf is going to be angry for a while.
Great video man! Watching from down under, south australia. Loved the message at the end.. limit the catch DONT catch the limit. Cheers!

A lot of great info! Thanks!
Thanks man, now go get some! 😂
Very informative video, Thanks Chris! Hope you can get back out there soon.
No problem! It won’t be long!🤙🏼
Great video man, good info!
Thank ya!😁

I appreciate it man! It’s been a grind but a fun grind for sure. Thanks for subbing and watching the video! 😁🤙🏼
Very thorough video. Thanks for posting and including safety and CR. Subbed.
Appreciate it man! Thanks for watching and subbing!😁
Great video! Thank you for sharing. Get well soon man!
Thank ya and will do!🫡
Great video man, I want to get out their and target them
Go for it whenever you get the chance. The gulf is going to be a little rough for the next few days, so plan accordingly. Good luck! 🤙🏼

Chris, thanks for sharing the knowledge! A question -- any recommendation on trolling speed?
No problem! Speed doesn’t seem to be a factor. They eat it when I’m hauling butt and they eat when the x rap is just sitting there. 🤷🏻♂️
I cast an x rap to one this morning and he hit as soon as it hit the water. If it’s moving, they’ll eat.
Sitting at the coffee shop and whatauno.
A video from Chris about tuna.
I'm gonna take off work this week to catch one of those.
I hope
The end of this week is looking pretty good. 👀
Great video! 😃👍
Thank ya! Taking it easy. 👍🏼

Awesome video, definitely going to try this soon. Do you know if the tuna run close to the beaches near Pensacola pass also?
I don’t honestly but I can’t see why they wouldn’t pass Pensacola. They’re caught from the piers all the way to Panama City so I would think they’ll be around Pensacola.
This is the video I *NEEDED*! Appreciate it bud! I also just subbed. Hopefully we can bump into each other this season chasing those Tuna!
I’m sure we will! I’m usually out there any chance I get. 🤙🏼 Good luck out there!

@@TheBoxedFish Hell yeah man! Congratulations! 🎉 so glad you got on one. I was out there but I was throwing a popper by the pier mainly. 🤙🏼
👍thank you
No problem. 🤙🏼
Thanks for the info. Using your link to buy the x wrap now. Do you know if tuna are that close in Destin and PCB?

@ No problem! You’ll definitely hook up for sure between Destin and Navarre. Just watch out for the yaks once you’re at the Navarre pier! 😂🤙🏼
I prefer using an earthworm under a cork on 4lb Mono, but this way is nice too I guess...
🤣 good ol’ trusty earthworm.
Great video man. Hit me up I've got a few of the lucky craft I use
Yeah I’m thinking about trying those out. 🤔 want to broaden the lures for tuna.
