    You promised 'Matter' in the title. I feel lied to.

    When recording a video of you home assistant installation a lower resolution might make it more viable on phones

      @EL34XYZ 8 месяцев назад

      I use desktops and Roku 4k on my TV, not a tiny phone screen. I use 1440p or 4K.
      You can lower video resolutions by clicking on the red gear and lowering it yourself. This video has 8 resolutions you can choose. 240p to 4k

      @@EL34XYZ I don't think you understand the issue here, lowering the resolution post recording does not make the text larger or more readable. But I don't know what % of your viewers are on phones.

      He doesn't need to lower the screen resolution, just record a smaller portion of it. ;-) But yeah, that was pretty small.

    Is the bluetooth connectifity also enabled? what i read, the chip should support bluetooth, but it seems that no one on the internet got bluetooth running. It would be nice to have one dongle to rule it all...

      I haven't heard anything about bluetooth being embedded into this receiver. From my knowledge it just is a zigbee coordinator and soon to also be able to run matter network as well.

    I think they have recently release a firmware update for sky connect to support dual zigbee and thread simultaneously. Matter server has been updated too, guess you can connect matter devices straight to HA

    • @TonTimeTech
      @TonTimeTech  Год назад

      Yup, that's the beauty of this thing. It's already supported on the hardware, just got to wait for the firmware to come out which it did. Thanks for the update!

      @@TonTimeTech I installed it, but the thread network doesn't seem to connect to Nanoleaf bulb have you been successful in connecting matter device to HA via sky connect beta matter firmware?

      @@Dr.AshishVerma Hi! Thanks for the comment. I haven't had any matter devices yet on my smart home network. I do see the integration now on my integration dashboard in home assistant but haven't purchased any matter device yet. When I do, I'll post a video. I've seen other smart home youtubers able to add matter devices on home assistant without any issues though.

    So Thread is not yet enabled on this???

      Looks like it is now. I see an integration for it on my home assistant instance from an update back in April. I haven't tested it yet since I haven't purchased any Matter devices yet. Will make a video once I get my hands on one.

    I have Home Assistant installed in Ubuntu server dedicated to Home Assistant. I bought SkyConnect but unfortunately, did not recognize it. Any ideas, please.

      Strange, I'm running Home Assitant on Ubuntu too and it recognized it on my PC. Did you try using a different USB port?

    • @A.Almatrodi

      @@TonTimeTech Yes, I did. I think the problem is Docker. The problem with me is that I don't have experience.

      @@A.Almatrodi Oh, I have not used docker yet to deploy home assistant on my server. I'm just running a dedicated computer (Intel NUC) for my Home Assistant. My guess is perhaps you need to allow docker to read the usb hardware port on your instance. I see a lot of people on youtube able to use home assistant with docker.

      @@TonTimeTech I do have a dedicated server with Ubuntu server OS. I tried to install Home Assistant Supervised, but I don't find a guide how to, except through Docker. If you have a link to something help please share it.
