I haven't dealt with google home and nest appliance directly on the Show. I've been using it as my home assistant dashboard. I know that alexa has a skill where you can interact with your google products with voice commands, but from my knowledge I don't think videos can be streamed on there from a doorbell. If any viewer knows otherwise, please let us know!

Looks about the same size as the stock one so I guess it lasts about the same time?

@@GoodToCU88unfortunatly that's not how battery technology works, with the oem battery it probably has a PCB built into the battery much like the DeWalt one will.

To me, it's not noisy at all. Since it's water cooled and it has a decent sized radiator, the fan doesn't seem to kick up high at all. This is also with my PC at the bottom of my desk. If you have the PC on top of your desk, you may hear a slight fan sound when the room is quiet but it's not super loud like other fans I've dealt with.

So for whatever reason, your device was able to connect to your Z-Wave network, but without the S2 security. That happened to me a few times as well. I ended up deleting the contact sensor on my home assistant, reset the contact sensor, and then add it again. You defiantly want to make sure it can connect with S2 security for a more secure connection.

I deployed roughly a dozen of these sensors around my house and ran into that issue a few times, but unpairing it and repairing them got them to S2 security. I am using a ZooZ USB Stick, latest z-wave protocol. Maybe try upgrading your Z-Wave adapter firmware?

I've mainly dealt with the monitor for laptops that provide power and video from a single USB-C port. Using it on my Mac and PC, I don't notice any more thermal increase than the normal use. I'm not sure how Asus Ally X will perform on this, but if it's engineered correctly, providing power and display to a single device shouldn't cause thermal spikes because USB-C can provide the bandwidth to do so.

Hello! Thanks for the comment. I've used the mic a dozen times and haven't had any problems with it. To this day it still works, but it's more of my secondary mic and not a primary one.

You simply just set the temperature using the buttons on the front of the panel and the fan will kick on and off based on the temperature setting. Super easy!

Hello! Thank you for the comment. I've used it a few times, mainly for outdoor movie viewing in the backyard or at a friend's place. So far, it's still holding up well, but my usage on this is low since I only use it outdoor most of the time. Your mileage may vary since you may use it more often than me. However, so far so good for me with the few times I have used it. :). Prime day is around the corner, you may see this at a better deal if you wait a week :).

That is correct, it's only connected via LAN cable, it does not have WIFI.

Hello! Yes, it will work. It's backwards compatible. The only downside is that you won't get the full speed of a usb 3.0 device with a 2.0 cable. But if the device you're hooking into is usb 2.0 speed, it wouldn't matter.

I"m sorry, I wouldn't be able to tell you the square meter. I'm currently using it as ambient lighting for my home theater setup. It is really bright and diffuses the light evenly though. I would think if you have it outside in an open space it would shine brightly like other hue products.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the 2013 Macbooks doesn't have Display Port over USB-C since it's an older laptop. That option is usually available for newer laptops. I find that some of my older laptops i would have to power it on individually and use the HDMI port on the laptop and monitor.

@@pamelajacinto Oh, in that case it should work! Did you use the cable provided with the monitor? When it comes to USB-C Cables, it's important to make sure to use the cable it comes with it if you're unsure. USB-C cables are a mess sometimes. Some cables do charging only , some cables are lower speed, etc... If you can, try using the cable that come with the monitor. It should be just plug and play.

It's worth it to protect a 500 dollar equipment in my opinion. Especially keeping it protected from dust or debris if not using everyday :).

The biggest plus (in my opinion) is every thing runs locally. Your data is private and controlled by you. My Q app sends data through the internet then back to your garage opener. The RATGDO also unlocks a lot more features that you don't see in the native myQ app. Watch the video and you'll see the missing features. :)

MyQ no longer allows Apple HomeKit or Home Automation integration. We used to be able to tell Siri to close or open garage door. Not anymore. This fixes that.

@@qdevvv You are absolutely right. I use my garage door opener all the time. When I heard that they were going to close off their API, found this gold nugget on the HA community and never looked back. I love how it exposes all the other options of the garage opener that the MyQ app doesn't show. :).

You can use it on a mini fridge or any electrical appliance, but depending on the load of that appliance, the battery may not have enough power keeping it on. This APC you cannot connect solar to charge it. It charges the battery through standard wall outlet.

You'll definitely need to use all 3 eight pin connectors. It's a power hungry card and needs all those power connectors used.
