What a beauty. Every farm needs a dog! Some trainers use toys like a kong or tennis balls as a reward instead of food for training.

I added a fox red lab to my home last summer. She picked my husband right out of the kennel. Her future involves chasing pheasant. She has totally changed our lives🐶. My shih tzus are not impressed🤣🤣
A lot of people don't even know there are red fox labs. I think they are gorgeous. She is picking up training pretty well so it will be interesting to see what all we can do with her. Enjoy your lab. :)

If I can give one piece of unsolicited advice/encouragement...please please research the harms of vaccines before giving her any shots. Look at the ingredients and what those ingredients can do in the body. Many of the same autoimmune issues we are seeing especially in children are also prevalent in dogs, especially allergies, seizure disorders and cancers.

About half the chewing is curiosity and the other half is teething. Cold baby carrots or cold carrot sticks are good for teething puppies. The density won't break their teeth and the coldness helps with gum pain. Frozen green beans work too. A mild vinegar and water solution in a spray bottle and you can spray things you don't want them to chew on. Remember they can smell things we can't. What is a faint odor to us is much stronger to them. Even when we can no longer smell the vinegar odor it is present for them. And their smell has a great deal to do with their taste buds. They do not like the taste of vinegar.
I remember using something called Bitter Apple with one of our dogs, but I bet the vinegard would have the same effect. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll also give the carrots a try.

We agree whole-heartedly. We're in love.
What works well for our nipping puppy is standing up, pulling our hands up to our chests and turning away a quarter turn. But we are still working on it as it’s normal for them to be mouthy for the first 6 months or so.
I've been trying to take away all attention from her when she nibbles since she craves it so much. She can control herself some of the time, but as soon as she gets too excited, she's right back at it. I know it will eventually stop, but it's just one of the things that comes along with puppies.
Great lookin puppy, we have a springer spaniel 7 mo. old shes a hand full like all puppies. Now that our house is tore up we let her have more freedom than we would, shes happy and we take her with us too, havent got to see many vids but plan on looking at more this weekend. God bless

Yeah, window shopping for puppy is probably not possible. There was definitely no resisting her once she was in my arms and licing my chin...I was sold.

Don Sullivan- has the best dog Training classes... also wonderful Training collars etc... he's been around for years, helped all areas of Training from Military, Police, etc... we have gone through his Training with our service dogs as well...

Ruby is adorable, but I would have gotten another boy. Be prepared to be butting heads with her, as females are always trying to be head of the pack. A male just goes along with what you want. I would look up Caesar Milan for training. You two are off to a good start though. Good luck and enjoy Ruby.
We have enjoyed having males, but wanted a slightly smaller dog and the males tend to get larger than the females. I guess we'll just have to be prepared to remind her of who is the head of the pack. 😬 I forgot about Caesar Milan. I'll check out some of his videos. Thanks!
I love her little face! You can tell it takes everything in her to sit still 😂 Redirecting and having treats like bully sticks/dental treats helped with chewing. Overall just entertaining them with slow feeders or snuffle mats helps while they have all that puppy energy and can't roam freely. With puzzles and buttons for pups now days it's wild what they can do. 😅
I had never heard of a snuffle mat and had to look them up. That looks like something she would LOVE. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm slowly figuring out which toys work and which ones she doesn't seem interested in. We're having a blast with her.
So I bred German Shepherd puppies for a long, long time one thing that we found out that I’ll keep them occupied if you get an empty bottle water and put a little hole in there enough for those little kibitz to go in for a few kits in there through the top of the bottle of water I don’t know 20 or so and then put the top on and give her the bottle with the kid kibbles in there and she will go at it and get a kibble or two but it’ll keep her occupied keep her teething going withoutit’s like a distraction but it keeps him very busy try that we did that a lot for the puppies and a lot of the puppies that we did go to our family member so we have a lot of generation of puppies and they all do the same thing empty water bottle put some holes in it throw the kibbles in there and let her go at it
That's a great idea. I do something similar with my chickens, actually. I drill holes in a Tropicana bottle and put scratch in them. It keeps the chickens busy for hours. I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks!

We have a creek about 10 minutes away and we will definitely take her there. I'm sure she will love it.
