I got this humidifier a few years ago for Christmas. It’s amazing! No mist but it really puts moisture in the air, and it’s so nice to know that the water is extra clean.
I have never used a humidifier before. I really never thought about how using one might benefit my sleep. Thanks for bringing the potential benefits to my attention. This Honeywell looks like a good machine. I like the "germ free" aspect to this humidifier.
We have been using it for a little over a week, and we love it! It is super quiet. Thanks for your review and description...much better than the directions that come with it!
Thanks for the detailed cleaning info. I just started using a humidifier (not this one) because the air is so dry with the heat running all the time. I'll check out the Honeywell if I need one for a different room.
I'm actually in the market for a larger sized humidifier---all the reviews I see on the big retailer site are not promising, so this is quite helpful. Size seems right for a decent sized bedroom, too.
1 I do not have a dishwasher; 2 finding the filters is VERY challenging always! I choose a humidifier without filters which is much more cleaning daily but worth it. Thank you.
Thank you for all this great info and thorough review. There is a lot of work cleaning this unit so nice to see all the detailed instructions. Good to know trusty unit should I need to purchase one.
Wow, such a nice humidifier for a great price! I like that it's dishwasher safe since it has to be cleaned often. It has such a big water tank too...super nice!
Take a good look, Brandon. Laying the tank on its side in the dw will NOT get that part clean. And no where in her video did she discuss the dirt and greasy film (just from every day living) that ends up up the chute where the fan and motor are located.
It seems like a nice humidifier at a good price. But i live in a hot climate and have more than enough humidity in the air that i use a dehumidifier. But if i was to get a humidifier it would most likely be a Honeywell one since they tend to make some good products. I have a bunch of products by them and they never disappoint
Does the UV light up once you turn it on. I plugged mine in and after 4 hours I didn't see any light. Can someone please send a pic on what it should look like when the UV lights up
Great review! The Honeywell Germ-Free Cool Moisture Humidifier looks like a really good one. I especially like the size and that it has some dishwasher compatible components.
Very thorough. I loved that you covered the logistics of maintenance and replacing the wicking filter. I would want one with smart functions that I can control from my phone with an air monitor. Tempted to see a battle between this humidifier and the humidity fighting blanket from the last video. At least this is less expensive.
I actually need one of these, ESPECIALLY during the summer months, Thanks for the reviews. You answered questions I had about humidifiers, And Honeywell is a well known brand. I like that it kills bacteria and germs in the air,
Wait, you need a humidifier in the summer? The summer is usually much more humid than the winter, meaning you're more likely to want a humidifier in the winter. Also, this does not kill bacteria or germs in the air. It only kills bacteria and germs in the mist that it releases.
@@matthewtreanor1033 You can take that plastic grill off the top (use a butter knife to gently pry it out) and reach down with a damp paper towel and clean the fan blades.
How do you clean the propellers for the fan part of the humidifier. Am I able to remove the fan grill housing the propellers? Thanks for such a wonderful breakdown of the products. It was very easy to understand and I found it to be very helpful.
Ever tried to clean the fan? Big design flaw. You have to break the cover to get at the fan. Actually you can prise it off, but you will damage the tabs that hold it in place. Otherwise, decent unit.
The fan blades get very dirty even when the filter has been changed every three months. How does one clean UNDERNEATH the blades. All these videos are useless as they leave out the most important parts to clean because no one knows how to do it.
I've had mine for 8 years and love it. However, recently it has stopped misting and I'm trying to figure out why. I've changed the filter, cleaned it thoroughly. Nothing. Its on a level surface. I'm wondering if there was a gasket that went around the inside of the cap. The manual shows one but I don't remember ever having one. Would that make a difference? And where would I find one? It looks like it would be 3.25" ID x 3.5" OD. If that is indeed the problem. I have no idea what to try next.
I cleaned mine and it did not work afterward. How can I troubleshoot the stop? I imagine it is due to moisture and wonder if anyone else had this happen. How to fix?
Dont forget benefits to plants in house anti aging for skin, and manor major benefits for many types of wood, especially wood for antiques, instruments like violins, cellos, violas basses. Wood winds need between 40-60% ...
funny she was just advertising an ultrasonic humidifier saying how great it was now it's this one… At the end of the day just be so careful to keep them extremely clean. You know what happens when water sits around and comes bacteria
Hello: You just said something, that you should not have... @ about 6:31 in, you said the UV-C Bulb will last about 30,000 hours, that is not correct, at about 6:39, you show the manual page [4] to replace the bulb [it reads, on top 3,000 hours (125 hours, about 4.2 months)]. I do not believe it was intentional, just do your homework, prior to the videos. Good Luck!

How do I stop the orange “check filter” light to stop blinking? I put a new filter in.

very indepth and informational review! Great video!

Great product, gets stuffy and dry in our rooms, hineywell humidifier is perfect

I love having a humidifier but hate the upkeep. Filterless sounds like a good option.
Ultrasonic ones tend to be harder to clean because the reservoir opening is too small to get your hand in to clean the tank.
I have a filterless one and it leaves a white powder mist. I would recommend a filtered model.
hiw do you clen all the dust iut of the fan?
I bought compressed air in a van and spray the dust off the fan blades

I just got one. How do you clean the fan.
Super helpful. Thank you.
How loud is it? Plz turn it on and remove your sound voiceover so we can hear it

Like this UV light and germ minimizing technology. The main problems with all humidifiers is cleaning all the nooks and crannies is always a chore.
Agreed!
Thanks. Looking for one that’s the easiest to maintain. Would you give that award to this one?
Love this! Always looking for a good humidifier for my kids!
If I use a dish washer does that mean I don't need to do the scaling/disinfecting by hand?
Great review! Question: If you wash in the dishwasher are you use dishwasher detergent or not? My manual is confusing. Thank you.
I need a dehumidifier for my room haha! This isn’t what i need but this looks good. Multiple levels is great
What does the uv bulb do
The manual says tray and tank are dishwasher safe. It then says don't use detergents. Does than mean don't use dishwasher detergent? Thanks
Can't find replacement for uv light bulb
I definitely need a quality humidifier and also an air purifier. I have such bad respiratory issues
Does it mist?
No digital control to maintain room humidity at specific level (ex. 45 %) and avoid going up to 60%?
I like the video but I have no idea how to clean the fan inside.
How do you clean the fan blades?
Put a butter knife and open. Is a video here on RUclips teaching how to do it.
good review :-)
amazon doesnt seem to have good reviews about this as when i press link and went down they all are gavin bad reviews

I put ice in the water jug cheap AC lol
I have a similar to this and find that it's a bit high maintenance in terms of cleaning and replacing the filter and too chunky for condo dwellers.

All this and no instruction in light bulb replacement. What a waste.
Obnoxious.
